00:37:36 its not about the amount of shapes. You can have an uncountable number of shapes in an image. What really counts is the value hierarchy. In the drawing above you have shapes in sharp contrast all over the place which diffuses the attention into multiple points, the focus is diluded. In the image below there is a much clearer hierarchy with decreasing contrasting values leaving the focus to the sharper contrasts, the "river" and a couple of houses.
