The problem with you people is that yall want everything in the game to be handed out to you. This is supposed to be like this. It's not meant to be rushed. It's well known that DE rely's very heavily on their youtube partners to teach some of the more complicated aspects of their game. They aren't up to date on teaching players in-game, just look at Eidolons, Ropalolyst fight, Lech Kril, etc. A lot of people want to start the new content, but it doesn't teach you much in game.
Seriously, how many levels of grinding can they possibly come up with for one system? Just getting the mods is ridiculous, and on top of the grind for them they are limited use? Fuck off with that.
@@ShinGetsu857 toxin can change into corrosive and viral which are the 2 most popular way to deal with high level enemies. and heat is now a good way to handle armored targets. radiation is only good for eidolon hunting if it turns out some of the weapons are decent at it. Imo it's a pretty balanced battle between toxin, heat and electricity.
I just wanna know if there is a limit to the companion aspect. I just imagine the stalker showing up, only to have 10 of your companions show up, then it cuts to the stalker on the ground while everyone is kicking him in a circle.
Don’t know who will see this but against my Lich who was immune to heat, corrosive and puncture I tried Wukong for survivability and celestial, or chroma for an approximate 1000% damage and armour buff with EW and VA, but neither worked. Then I realised after accidentally activating an ally Octavia’s invisibility that he won’t attach invisible opponents, do I resorted to ash prime ( because I don’t have Loki). However because this was my first Lich, I unwittingly let him get to level 5 really easy so my attacks were almost redundant, even from a fulmin which usually hit 30k. I resorted to using a duration/ strength build for ash, as I realised his bladestorm had a fixed damage number, and while invisible the Lich couldn’t kill me, so I ended up spamming invisibly out of his sight and running near him and marking him with BS three times, which with my build granted me about 15k damage per BS, compared to the 17 dmg from my fulmin( yes, seventeen). After the ash method, I killed him extremely easy, but make sure that the Lich DOES NOT see you, especially the ones with toxin or fire element abilities and weapons, as ash’s lousy armour value are super easy to strip at almost any level. Please like if this helped. Also I recommend using a fast, long range melee weapon to take down the lichs shields very fast, as blades storm is not very useful against the shields. Anyway thanks for reading if you did, please like this so others can see
A sticking point for some people. I ran with a group of randos over and over 'til we all got ours. I figured out that summoning the lich-spawning enemy is the same as the Juggernaut. Lights flash instead of the juggernaut roar and you need to rampage at that point until the grineer transmission shows up. After that, whoever deals the killing blow gets the lich.
Jae Moon the sniper didn’t really look like mr fodder except for innate blast seeing that it has 50% base crit chance... I hunt eidolons so maybe that’s why I’m looking at it that way but I’m tired of the meta rubico being the go to all the time
It's simple: always go get your lich with Saryn. If it's not the sniper, you'll get a possible corrosive gun. If it is the sniper, you'll get an easy to do radiation, fully prepped for eidolon hunting.
My first lich had the archgun, and I personally can't stand archwing missions so I converted him instead. Now he jumps into missions with me and just runs around shouting one liners and gunning people down for me. Honestly better than any other companion, just wish I had more control over it lmao
I love Kuva Lich’s. They’re a fantastic addition to the game.... but there’s WAY TOO MUCH FARMING!! Holy hell DE. For the love of god your hard on for farming and grinding knows no bounds. The farming wouldn’t be that bad though if there wasn’t a damn specific, random sequence the mods MUST be placed in. Let me just find out which 3 mods I need, I’ll go get them, and just let me use them in whatever placement. It’d at least make the whole process more tolerable Thought Update 11/23 - So I understand more now on why the requiem sequence should be randomized. If it is not random then there would be no reason to ever die to your lich and level them up to be better boss fights.
just a random thought ive been pondering while reading a lot of this (i havent had the time to play cause work, so i havent been able to do any of the lich stuff), but what if they made spy missions where you could get information on the location of the glyphs, yeah itll add more grind (which does need to be toned down) but to me it would feel like rewarding preparation and cutting out some unnecessary dying
@Vampireluigy27 about that thought update.... that's the entire reason why it's so fucking retarded. the boss isn't hard, it's literally an RNG boss that you SHOULDN'T die to unless you get fucked by rng
Lol only if my console would allow me to experience it. Lol i even heard there is a limited time event where requim relics r free. Lol im gonna miss that ;-;
Haven't had the chance to try any of this myself as I'm coming off of a several month break from warframe, but it sounds like killing your lich is generally the more rewarding option since them helping you is apparently random. A bit of a shame. It's be really cool if they were full-on companions like Kubrows/Moas/Sentinels/etc that you could mod and bring with you everywhere. Especially if it's one you might have gotten attached to.

When they announced this system, I was so excited. Now, with all the RNG and the grind, this system is another thing I won't touch even though it sounded awesome in theory, and I won't come back for a couple months again. I don't have 4 weeks to try and find out a sequence to kill 1 enemy that might or might not have an interesting weapon. It would be much cooler to just have random encounters with "hero enemies", just like in Shadow of Mordor/War, instead of celebrating this whole thing and make a ritual and ceremony of it. It could've been well integrated into this game from the start, not overwhelming but showing new players what the game has to offer, maybe even letting an enemy grow with you along the star chart, killing you 10 times throughout your journey and then giving you that "wow" feeling when you finally get your revenge. Now, instead, you need to set everything up, which takes a lot of this whole "you and your nemesis" feeling away, when it's just a RNG boss. All in all, not at all what most people expected.
I think the Kuva Lich system is a missed opportunity. I wish DE had kept it on Lich per tenno and you can kill/get killed repeatedly throughout your game and using it as a good narrative and story telling device. Now just seems like a new weapon grind with no real story.
Firstly good to know there is a way to get weapon damage types you want (though a bit much work for me lol) but secondly my Kuva lich has a toxic orgis, so lookin forward to that. and thirdly and MOST importantly, My lich's name is Cir Astots. I mean COME ON Sir Ass tots? GG DA.
They are though. The warframe you bring determines the gun's elemental extra, but aside that, it's most likely praying. Farm your ass for the relics (and all the mods), then either try diff combos of positions of mods, or plant your ass and farm murmurs to see what the actual fuck the combo is. The gun is random. The extra percentaje is random. The combo is random. The mods to be used is random. The chance for it to appear can be manipulated, but ultimately is random.
4:26 Ye... nah, that's a hard pass for me. It's already bad enough there's basically 2 layers of grind before it, discounting the fact that both are RNG related AND timegated. But now we have to gamble on a 1/ 27 chance that the combination is right on the 1st go of our 3 rune combinations and we instantly fail if it's the wrong one? AND the weapon element is tied to what warframe we bring to the fight? No thanks. I'm already hard pressed to continue playing the dang game with how melee 3 butchered melee flow with heavy attack resetting combo counter, a lot of old meta being over nerfed to the point of uselessness while janked enemy scaling remains an issue, many combos just have altered inputs instead of "new animations" as it was touted in dev streams, etc. This is after MONTHS of no content and nearly a year of no real substantial update with constant delayed hype for railjack and this update......
Yup. Seems like a LOT of grind for a weapon i'd just throw away. (If they had an ignis, maybe, but all the other grineer weapons, ugh.) I guess maybe people who've done every last thing in the game, it'll be appealing because there's a lot of steps? Maybe?
also if you want to stay, use a status melee with range riven, like orthos prime, now from spin to win (which i loved) its E E E E E E E x12929 to win.
Yeh this is all bullcrap. The new changes to the melee made me die unnecessarily 4 missions in a row as I was trying to figure out how to heavy attack with my Redeemer Prime and even when I learned I was still confused. The Kuva Lich Grind isn't something I will be participating in anytime soon. I really could care less about it. Maybe if Rail Jack was in as it was shown that in the gameplay demos they are supposed to work together, but even at that, this grind is fucking ass.
To be honest... I don't want a Lich because the game is enough of a grind already. I don't want my rewards to be stolen too just so I have to grind even more to get them back.
same here. the moment they said it would involve relics i said "this is going to bite." the last thing i needed was more kuva i wasn't using, and more void trace use.
Haven't gotten a lich yet but I'm not liking the idea of being killed and failing the mission for reasons out of my control. Just doesn't seem right. I would prefer that we be given a chance to escape or something, maybe in a severely weakened state. At least that way we could potentially keep (or recover) any items/mods acquired in the mission.
The kuva weapons are like the Paraceisis and can be forma'd past level 30, and some have unique mechanics, like the Quartakk having a different firing mode when fired from the hip. It ultimately depends on the weapon and your preferences.
I mean.... What else could it be? New mods? No thanks. It could be a resource like nitain extract but... Eh. Kinda boring. Arcanes? We already have a crap load of ways to get Arcanes.

OK, so have read a fair few comments and have some thoughts on relevant things that were missed or glossed over. First, thank you for uploading another entertaining clip. Right. After killed a then strange NPC on a fairly standard mission I got a nasty surprise on returning to my ship. Then over the following week and a bit this event stressed me out so much I nearly got banned from computer gaming , period. Something for more ordinary Tenno to note ... Your Lich ( KV ) is a sadist piece of work and will kill you in short order without you coming close to using your parazon even if you have paid attention to his weaknesses. This does not count towards learning more information necessary in cracking the requiem code nor does it level up said Lich. It will also , likely, force you ( and your group ) to fail whatever mission you are in as he is also vindictive and will chase you around the map, killing you repeatedly. So toughen up Tenno, as well as collecting as many murmurs as you can. TacticalPotato and Co can ignore this as they can simply stare down their current Lich who will blab all relevant information needed for the requiem order, all the while crying like a baby.
Another point these guides leave out: If you run a mission in a group, Liches linked to other players can turn up instead of yours. I was in one mission where three liches put in appearances and were rightly ended. Mine did not . The next Lich in sequence only turns up if the first Lich is ended though. Also if you get a good group , other group members can do damage to the Lich which will help strip away one of the health bars causing the Lich to kneel down ready for the Parazon from a group member who has that particular Lich. Yes, I ran a mission or three where another group member jumped in and killed (or converted) my Lich. ( yes, obviously it was their Lich too ) The annoying thing here is that on successful completion of this mission you will find that that mission node has been cleared of the Liches influence.
Strangely, revenant is pretty good against lich’s, for some reason the Kuva lich grapple attack doesn’t cancel his 4 until the actual throw, until then you’re just shredding the shields/health of the lich, mix that in with Mesmer skin (sometimes the stun works despite it not being supposed to work I think), this might be because my lich has the bramma which is a heavy damage/low rate of fire weapon
@@AlexPBenton And then go and use them and get 2 vome and 4 jahu. Don't white knight it... this is just a dumb af grind meant for people to just get bored or avoid it entirely and buy the shit.

Made mine with Mesa first time. Then looked up the elemental chart and facepalmed at myself. Magnetic :( Anyway, I would love this system if it involved doing more things with the Liches, but the requiem relics though. I like the murmur farm, I like fighting the Lich, but the relic tables are so evil - they should be heavily weighted towards mods, not other stuff, or else just only be about the mods, and maybe have the exilus bp and other things attached to the murmur missions.

is it worth returning to warframe now? Is the grind as addictive as it was before or is it annoying/tedious? If not, i'll just keep modding skyrim i guess ;/
You're a bit wrong about how larvalings spawn. In a level 20+ grineer mission, there is a chance the lights will flicker. From there, it's like a juggernaut. If you fail to kill enough enemies, the kuva guardian will extract the prospective lich, or report that the prospective lich has deteriorated too far. If you kill enough enemies, the kuva guardian will do his spiel about how the larvaling will see greatness

The amount of grind just to do something new for a change made me say "Forget it, playing Outer Worlds instead."
Agreed. This whole update is just tedious.
Yeah I was so stoked about this and converted my first lich, got a second one that wasn't as cool. Going back to the Outerworlds until they make this less grindy, needs a qol adjustment already.
same,i actually enjoy D2 grind more now then wf..maybe the ship battle wont be this convulated.
Yup. And again way too complicated to get this stuff started. No thx
The problem with you people is that yall want everything in the game to be handed out to you. This is supposed to be like this. It's not meant to be rushed. You get burned out because all of you want things then and there and just claim it. It's a free game. You expect too much, that's why yall get disappointed so easily.
Saturn capture has been quite consistent in creating liches.
It really is. Spent 40+ mins on Sedna survival with no larvling spawning. Took a break to read on forum/wiki and got him to spawn there on first run in less than 1 min.

It's well known that DE rely's very heavily on their youtube partners to teach some of the more complicated aspects of their game. @@ShinGetsu857 toxin can change into corrosive and viral which are the 2 most popular way to deal with high level enemies.

I just wanna know if there is a limit to the companion aspect. I just imagine the stalker showing up, only to have 10 of your companions show up, then it cuts to the stalker on the ground while everyone is kicking him in a circle.
Tucker0603 that would be the best event yet

My first one was a kraken

Ogris is not MR Fodder, especially if you have a riven.
Liches may have unique ephemeras as well. There is like 6 or more (don't remember), which drop upon dealing with your nemesis.
@@mateuszkusz5593 I think it's seven, but they don't always spawn with the ephemera
It’d at least make the whole process more tolerable
Thought Update 11/23 -
So I understand more now on why the requiem sequence should be randomized.
Why would I want a stronger boss that won't give me a better reward upon death than a lower ranking version of it?
@Vampireluigy27 about that thought update.... that's the entire reason why it's so fucking retarded. the boss isn't hard, it's literally an RNG boss that you SHOULDN'T die to unless you get fucked by rng
I just love the mercy stabbing animation its so cool
"i'll make this as short as possible"

The requiem relic drop chance has been changed from 30% to 50% for normal kuva missions.

Oi, theres room for only 1 Death Gun here.
Lol only if my console would allow me to experience it. Lol i even heard there is a limited time event where requim relics r free. Lol im gonna miss that ;-;
Actually you do know there was more than one “death gun” in the show right? :3 @sterben
A cool new gun, or a brain dead AI that can hardly hurt anything.
Is this even really a choice?
from what i've seen and heard, the weapons aren't that good.

it's kind of exciting to fight the kuva lich but so complicated to understand what to do, I mean you have to fight him technically 24 times if you're mistaken every time to find which mod will affect him
The RNG of mod placement feels a little meh and it felt kind of long to get a complete murmur but I like the idea overall.
Hoigwai I agree that it takes a long time to learn the mods, but I understand that they want us to risk leveling up the lich by guessing early.
To be honest you have the most handsome lich in the first few seconds in the video.
2 much grind for little reward
So your talking about the stalker?
You just explained everything else other guides didn't. Thanks
I think the Kuva Lich system is a missed opportunity. I wish DE had kept it on Lich per tenno and you can kill/get killed repeatedly throughout your game and using it as a good narrative and story telling device. Now just seems like a new weapon grind with no real story.
Allied kuva lich that would spawn during a spy mission would've been a horrifying prospect.
GG DA.
You have to save him with a name like that.
Big relief that those weapons aren't riven 2.0. If there's a logic behind it then it's perfect.
*Can't wait to try it on ps4 next year!*
4:26
Ye... nah, that's a hard pass for me.
Maybe?
Yes, 100% right. Too much grind for not a specific weapon.
also if you want to stay, use a status melee with range riven, like orthos prime, now from spin to win (which i loved) its E E E E E E E x12929 to win.
@@Wolpher they fucked it up this time for sure. they will do some little changes to make people shut up but thats it

Same here I want nothing to do with this. There’s enough rng in warframe. I’m prolly out until this shit gets taken out.
Tschudaun simple, don’t kill the larva Enemy and your good
Haven't gotten a lich yet but I'm not liking the idea of being killed and failing the mission for reasons out of my control. Just doesn't seem right. I would prefer that we be given a chance to escape or something, maybe in a severely weakened state. At least that way we could potentially keep (or recover) any items/mods acquired in the mission.
I love the "beautiful feckers" 😭❤️
My lich is at lua and my warframe n weapons ain't that strong and this is very helpful thanks
The point is, is that whole process worth just to get a "kuva" weapon?
The kuva weapons are like the Paraceisis and can be forma'd past level 30, and some have unique mechanics, like the Quartakk having a different firing mode when fired from the hip. It ultimately depends on the weapon and your preferences.

Seriously, I was hoping for a more direct thing. Well, time to return to New Vegas.
Todd Howard: "it just works"
Strangely, revenant is pretty good against lich’s, for some reason the Kuva lich grapple attack doesn’t cancel his 4 until the actual throw, until then you’re just shredding the shields/health of the lich, mix that in with Mesmer skin (sometimes the stun works despite it not being supposed to work I think), this might be because my lich has the bramma which is a heavy damage/low rate of fire weapon
