    I bought one tonight. Then I watched your video. A bit back to front. I can say that the dust extraction looks to be addressed. They have included a shorter guard lever to replace the existing. The dust port now is not a block. Looking forward to using tomorrow.

    *Probably one of my most used **MyBest.Tools** cordless tools. Plenty of power when used with the 5.0Am Lithium Ion Batteries. Awesome cordless circular saw. Would highly recommend!*

    I have this saw and in the box it came with a smaller lever/handle for the saw guard specifically for the dust collection port. Bit of a pain could have made it an offset handle but it does fix the problem.

    It’s supposed to come with a small replacement guard handle that’s shorter so you can have it go up and down all the way…

    Nice break down on that cordless circular saw James!👍🏻 I’ve always got a few cordless saws on hand. So, it’s good to know how all of the brands preform. Thanks for the video! 😎

    I have the 165mm saw Love it so much power. Only down side is you don't get a guide rail or dust port with it had to purchase separately. Bit of a joke as they only cost me around £8 for both.

    Finally somone reviewing the multivolt saw. From what I've seen and heard it's not on par with the new breed of saws coming out. Flexvolt still king of the hill for me.

    Long time between drinks mate. Strange that a big brand like Hitachi would just change the name for its power tool line like that. They have been around for quite a while with not bad market penetration. Brand recognition is everything. Must be some story behind it. Cheers

    • @OurBuild
      @OurBuild  5 лет назад +1

      Hey Michael 👊 Yeah globally there has been some changes which are very interesting. Hitachi has been a great brand, so I'm confident the HIKOKI brand will be just as strong!

      @@OurBuild Just looked it up. Hitachi Koki was acquired by US investment company KKR last year and changed name to Hikoki. im guessing as a condition of the sale. After selling Hitachi didn't want its name associated with brand anymore.

      Michael Magill you will also realise hikoki and metabo amalgamated. Germany had a law metabo needed to have a foreign partnership or investment outside Germany. My wording is slightly different to what I have been told. So the reason hikoki ( hitachi) and metabo. Well hikoki bought metabo out. Metabo still have their own division. You will notice the metabo cordless planer and hikoki cordless planer are identical. Except for the colour.

    Just a question, did you use the A (1080w) or B (1440w) multivolt battery? It looked like it was the A as it said 2.5Ah. I'd really like to know how well it does with the big battery

  • @TheClaudos

    Would it be of interest to know if the base plate is aluminum or steel?

    • @ron1martens
      @ron1martens 3 года назад +1

      The Claudos. The base plate is aluminium. I had a look at a few of these. Some of the machines the base plate has a slight inward curve. I seen one it was more flat. So I suggest getting a straight edge or steel ruler and some filler blades to check the tolerance. I believe a aluminium base plate should be more flat as possible. In saying that I'm not sure if that determines accuracy of cuts.
      My thoughts are where the machines are manufactured also where the aluminium is processed.

  • @interman7715

    Just my opinion, it looks cramped on the left hand side and you can't get a good view of the blade ,just like the Makita ,this is why I bought a Dewalt Flexvolt, it has a good view down left hand side .
