I'm in Lake Okeechobee and and building one as we speak and you definitely gave me some great ideas and I do appreciate you thank you from a fellow kayaker and fisherman.
I would replace those Zip Ties with hose clamps. That way you don't have to worry about those zip ties dry rotting. Great job on this concept. thanks for sharing your brilliant idea,
That’s how I’m setting up my 20lbs thrust motor on my kayak with a metal channel bracket A1200HSPGC I’m using bushings in between so I don’t feel any vibration ! But I haven’t found a good small Deep Cycle battery that will fit in the back that’s not super heavy but lasts more than 5 hours .. If you know of any good batteries please share !! Thanks fish on 🎣
Thank you so much for sharing this. The simplicity of it is perfect. Other videos of people making this are to overcomplicated. I have a lifetime tahoma. Is the hull the same as your tamarac?
Do you still use this? I want to do it but worried about balance. I’m doing a seat upgrade to sit a little higher, (I have a bad back) I’m also 210 pounds. So worried about sitting higher and adding even more weight
Looks good dude. Can you tell me what size motor you have and what size battery did you use. Picked up a cheap 34lbs motor and am gonna try this on my kayak. Atb Ian.
He's got a part 1 to this video where he goes over those details I believe. I think he said it's 30 lbs thrust motor guide. Can't remember the batt series
Great job, the best I have seen. Only thing I will do different is to use aluminum square tubing. Less weight and won't rust. Thanks
Just finished building One for my kayak, used aluminum for the mounting bracket. Your right about being stable. Turned out GREAT. Thanks for sharing.
Awesome! Glad it worked out!

Mount your battery at the front. Help even out the weight...

I like the counter balance provided by the battery. Good job!
i like how you utilized the straps for the old seats backrest for the new seat. Will def. do my stadium seat like this
THANK YOU FOR THE TUTORIAL AND SHARING THIS VIDEO TOO! Very excited to get mine all rigged up. #happyfishing
Add a quick disconnect plug for the trolling motor behind the seat.
Very clever! Will be doing this to my feelfree lure
Thank you. Hope it helps.. Be sure to check out the first video on how I made it.
that's my plan too, somehow rig up an old minn Kota to Lure 10
Nick Willis That would be super nice. There is a way to make one mount to the sliding mounts on the back, I have seen.
M.E. King definitely a great idea. Make it easier to attach while still being able to use my rod holders
Great easy build thanks for sharing

Airborne all the way brother! After paddling all day I'm gonna give this a go. Thanks for posting.

Best mount ever
Now Bud, I like that, perfect balance. You done good 👍
Thank you
How did you find the tracking with it on one side...did you need to constantly adjust to stay straight?
Any issues with it being mounted on the side and not in the front or back? I'm about to start the same project. Thanks.
Nice 👍👍

Works great, looks good. Will you be painting the wooden block?

doncrist2012 steered straight. Worked like a charm
