Hmm, some of these comments are unnecessarily rude. I wonder if the people who leave them are that rude in real life or whether it’s a bit like road rage and people just think they can say what they want/how they want because it’s social media. I can see you read and reply to the comments so I hope you let them just wash over you….

Hello Rechenda. I've been following and enjoying your channel for a few weeks. A quick tip regarding the spring/green onion growing in your garden; if you had just chopped it off about an inch above the ground it would have regrown for another harvest a few weeks later.

Risotto does not need any creamy stuff in it - maybe just a knob of butter thrown in before plating it, but if it tastes good how you made it, then it’s a win! You are very creative 😊

Been shopping @Aldi and Lidl for best part of 25 years, if you're lucky enough to live where the two are within walking distance of each other (like Droitwich) that's the very best situation as each have pluses and minuses.Aldi do grated mozzarella in large bags (sold in same box as grated cheddar,so sort through) this ,long run,is cheaper.I don't eat meat ,but my kids do and prefer Lidls.
Even if you only have a window box, stuff like Basil/Parsley/is very easy to grow from seed, costs pennies.
    I like your channel.
    Best Wishes.

Because i’m the dullest person that ever lived, i just ran that receipt through the tesco app to compare prices. Apart from the milk, every single thing was within a penny or two at tesco, the bacon was cheaper at 1.45. There definitely are some things that i make a special trip to Aldi for (crispy fries. £1- something, over £4 at full price in tesco!) but for routine stuff I don’t think it’s worth going out of your way for.
Your meal planning is absolutely next level 🎉

You are literally the female version of me, lol. i love the challenge of budget cooking and am thinking of doing my own foody channel. I forage for seasonal ingredients, ive started growing my own. i also sell unwanted stuff on market place. i lost my dad recently and live on my own.
Budgeting allowed me to buy my own place and pay it off, i now work part time and budgeting allows me to still enjoy a social life.
I tend to lean more towards fast cook meals rather than batch cooking. My freezer is filled with veg meat breads etc. I prefer the flexibility and choice.

Your channel came up in my feed as I had been watching similar videos, so this is the first one I've watched. Good to see a local youtuber, very surprised actually!! I don't use that particular Aldi but it's not far away.
After watching other youtuber food challenges I do think yours aren't as accurate as in this one, you aren't exclusively using just the items bought within the amount (cheese, strawberries, chicken etc are all extras)...but it was good to see what you made. And on the Aldi Vs Lidl - locally I stopped using Lidl as the fruit was either very soft and near or past best when I bought it, or didn't last long at all...that was several years ago though so may have changed.

Also, we don't use the metric system here so didn't understand all the measurements you mentioned. For example our milk is sold in quart, half gallon or gallon containers. I always buy half gallon containers in 1 % as opposed to 2% or whole milk or non-fat types.

Hey lady r good haul u probably would have paid around the same at lidl but its nice to shake things up a bit . R we no longer making our own spahetti from scratch ??? I always use to think it was a bit of a faff. I bet u r glad u have come to the end of the muscle food chicken breasts lol. I add a little double cream into my risotto. I think adding coleslaw would be a step too far for me. Great you managed to sell the paddle board i didnt realise they were so expensive new i give 3 to the charity shop and 3 wet suits when the girls decided to stop partaking in any water related sports whoops no wonder they were cross lol . What will you eat with the risotto ?? I usually rustle up a salad. Very impressive meals for the week now u just need to sort brekkie and lunch . U will have the tax bill sorted in no time px

I like Lidl more than Aldi because Lidl sell a lot more of German,/European products.
I lived in Germany and lived/ used them.
    Also the " penny mart".
I think Aldi is becoming more like Asda in appearance.

You can't compare prices the way you are. Compared to cost of living there's not much in it. Minimum wage here is like £11.44 for over 21s

First time watching your videos love your take on meals, but I must say your title is very misleading as most of your ingredients are not from your £10 purchase they are things that you already had. Those meals would cost more than what you stated

@@BudgetFoodieUK I think your ingredients are much more accurate than most RUclipsrs! Add on a couple of quid for ingredients. The argument always is, you won't use a full tub of mayo, or salt, or flour, or whatever. So you could work out the cost of what you use. Then people are that you cannot buy one egg or a cup of flour. People love to argue! People love to nit pick. You did well and you will never please them all. Been there, done that, have the tee shirts!

Do you ever consider the animal welfare of these of creatures producing the cheap food you are proudly buying. Thousands of hens crowded in a barn never seeing the light of day. Beef and dairy cows kept inside never seeing the light of day or feeling grass under their feet? Pigs kept in concrete prisons to provide the cheap bacon etc .And before you ask I am not a vegan. I just care about how animals are treated
