That's some serious multitasking skills. Here's me falling over myself trying to make a cup of tea and butter my toast at the same time, and you just knocked 10 meals out of the park 😳
This works out to roughly 75p per person per meal. Home cooking is the way forward for nutritious and inexpensive food. this method is the best I’ve seen and has really motivated me to do the same!!! Genius channel Thanks so much Batch Lady!
Wow! Amazing, people really cant complain about not being able to afford to cook healthy family meals now. I'm so impressed with all the meals you managed and will definitely be making them. Thank you so much for posting!
Really liked your video and meals you cooked .I shop at Aldi and in Australia the mince alone would be $21,00 for 1kilo kidney beans are $1.10 a can Tomatoes $1.00 a can Eggs are $2 50 for half a dozen cost of living crisis is happening here as well as England 4 years ago prices were so good.
Omg I’m so so glad I found you! This is so helpful, I get depressed and find it difficult to get motivated to cook sometimes so this is perfect to do on good days so I don’t eat shit when I’m having a bad day haha. Thank you so much, you have such a positive energy and seem so lovely! X
Something I find useful from Aldi that we use a lot, especially for pasta dishes are the jars of sauce, literally already done you just need to simmer, saves loads of time for more cosy hearty meals
Great ideas!! It took me a few minutes to figure out what the 'minced beef' was...in the US we call it ground beef. Lol!! I love our Aldi. Again, not sure about the prices since we are dollars and cents. Thank you!
I just found you. Omg I’m sooo impressed. I’m a grandmother living with my daughter and 3 grandsons. I want to do the batch cooking to help her and save her money. Think I need to pour a drink an binge the afternoon away 👍
Wow you’re amazing I use Aldi and I live on a very tight budget I have two kids this is going to save me so much money thank you 🙏 I’m now subscribed to your channel 😀
Great video. Does the £30 cover things like spaghetti and rice that you would need with the Bolognese and chilli or is that just the cost for the things that you used in the video?
No just what I sed in the video, I was supposed to add pasta and rice to the shopping list so I new the final price but forgot on the day, Id add £1.50 max to the price for the rice and spaghetti Bol
Thankyou wonderful recipes just a suggestion as I hate opening bags when dealing with raw meat horrible .open all bags first before you touch the meat .the energy you have and quickness of putting together everything is inspiring to a lot of people x
Hi I love this and am going to attempt it this weekend. Do you have the instructions written out at all? I have searched your website and can't find one. If you do, please could you post a link here. Thank you!
Ordered everything fron Asda, arrived today, so I've got everything all lined up ready to go 😁 cost me about 25 quid for everything for just two of us. Really really pleased and can't wait to fill my freezer. Thank you so much 🥰
@@TheBatchLady yes, amazingly well! My little boy loves the bolognese, and had no idea it had mushrooms and carrots in 🤣 you made the whole process from start to finish very easy ❤️ I will be having the chilli tonight, can't wait 🥰
@@TheBatchLady Also, the burgers are great! My little boy wolfed it down, I grated and melted some cheddar on them, and put them in toasted brioche buns ..absolutely delicious 😋 thanks again ❤️🙏 looking forward to teaching my boy how to make these, he's going to love getting his hands all mucky in the bowl 🥰
Fantastic - super impressed with your efficiency and inspired to fill my freezer with these recipes for the students I host. Frozen uncooked mushrooms - never occurred to me I could freeze these. I've don't like the texture of reheated cooked/frozen mushrooms either - another great idea.
Hi just came across your channel, I cook all my food from Aldi's apart from the odd few bits I can't get in there store like Worcestershire sauce etc, but please don't use store bought garlic paste, please make you're own.
Thanks so much for this video. I have watch batch cooking videos before but this one it’s the best and most helpful that I have seen. I shall be trying this myself soon.
You are welcome! My spoons are sold on the website- thebatchlady.com/product/kitchencraft-colourworks-scoop-shaped-plastic-measuring-cups-classics-colours-set-of-4/ x
I live alone so that's 40 meals for me, or as I eat very large portions it's 20 meals. Did you buy the spaghetti for the bolognese and rice for the Chilli? Even after a meal like that I would have sponge and custard so factor in custard powder, milk and sugar as well as the ingredients for the sponge. I like chocolate sponge with a coffee custard or vice versa or a jam sponge with a lemon custard.
Absolutely love this new subscriber I love that you multitask this fast that’s exactly the speed I’m looking for I am a huge multitasker and it helps with meals definitely for sure
oh my gosh! I cannot find your recipes or shopping lists anywhere? Unless I have to buy a book, but which one, you have so many that I didn't know about until now, love everything you make girl lol
Each meal may have different cooking instructions, they are all at the bottom of the method- thebatchlady.com/recipe/10-minced-beef-family-meals-in-1-hour/
I’m confused with the fajitas - would I have to take the frozen bag out of the freezer In the morning before heating in microwave? Would that not Make the frozen veg go bad? X
They dont stay crunchy like fresh would but you still get the flavour. If you like the crunch substitute the frozen peppers for thick sliced fresh, they retain the crunch after defrosting. Hope that helps x
I use the cups on my website, they are great- thebatchlady.com/product/kitchencraft-colourworks-scoop-shaped-plastic-measuring-cups-classics-colours-set-of-4/
Great video but I wouldn't be sure about all that red meat in your diet, maybe replace mince with fish or chicken even if it is a couple of quid more expensive, grest vid
Patrick so glad you liked this, these are freezer meals so are supposed to go in the freezer and be eaten once a week, i do other videos with chicken, fish etc. Promise we are not eating meat for 10 days in a row. :)
As stupid as it sounds I never thought to freeze burgers and their buns. Sometimes you just need to told😅😅 Thanks soooo much for this great channel. (Love your accent 😊)
Great for saving time, but why does the chilli not have any paprika or cumin? These are the main spices that make a chilli different from a ragu or bolognese.
All cookng times for this video are up on my website. Head to Thebatchlady.com, then 10 meals in 1 hour and then 10 low cost family meals in 1 hr from aldi. Scroll down the recipe and it will give you cooking times for the meatballs :)
Made all of these last weekend, my aldi only had 1kg packs so I used 5kg and got 13 burgers, 20 meatballs and 3 bags of fajitas mix so 2 extra meals and plenty of meatballs for my bottomless pits! Would love to make some veggie freezer meals for midweek break from meat though x
This is now I cook, but need to batch things like this for ease because I just dont. However, I'll be adding salt and pepper! Where's the seasoning here? Can't have that.
New subscriber here, very good multitasking skills you have and have inspired me to do my own batch cooking and to also use my freezer more often , also on a budget too. Great work 👍🏻
my channel is all about saving time, so making 2 of each meal, literally takes about 2 minutes more than making just one, so its a great time saving tip.
Please can you slow down, it would be nice if you explained the prices more and described things better instead of talking extremely fast and very choppy editing. Showing the process from start to finish would prove your only took an hour claim, it most probably took longer but we will never know as you've edited it to under 15 minutes.
Hello, first of all I would recommend to wash an eggs before use and after check if they're not rotten. You have put the egg directly into the mince beef 3:06 minute before checking them. What if once of them would be bad? You should have thrown the whole mice meat away losing your money. Does it make sense when it comes to cook on your budget darling?
Great video ! I will definitely be doing some of this recipes on Sunday for the week ! Always do my shopping at Aldi. It would be better for you to use a clip on lapel mic to cut the echo of your kitchen (also drop the "ok guys" "hi guys" it's too American)
I'm not sure, this was done on the cheapest cost. I have another video showing the same meal sequence but with ingredients I usually use, it would be done with free range eggs and our own farm beef. This one was done to see if you were on a tight budget how much you could do it for.
Recipes look good. Nice hints. However, the echo in video is awful. It makes it difficult to listen to what she is saying. Otherwise, enjoyed her ideas.

Aldi is really, really good for meat - it tends to be as good or better quality than the 'normal' supermarkets and a lot cheaper.

its not an aga one but it is about the same size
