Sadly, I am a very picky eater. I'm somewhere on the spectrum, and if there is food that body decides it doesn't like, I will gag. It makes things very awkward and I always feel so embarrassed when I have to turn down people's food because I know what will happen. So I understand being picky, but I do think this goes beyond that because he is so rude. He didn't need to make all those rude comments about the potluck's food or leave to go get something else. I often will take what I can eat and be polite. People worked hard on that food. If there is truly nothing, get something to drink and get something to eat after the party. She has every right to break up with him. Yes, because of how important trying new food is to her, but mostly because of how rude he is.
A PREGNANT sister at that not that she was pregnant at the time when she cared for him but she’s pregnant now and is in no place to care for him. The only person she should be concerned about right now is her and her baby. idk why her family aren’t taking that into account. Brother must be the golden child cause I can’t see how any parents would want their pregnant daughter caring for their son who is also a father, like where are his kids at????
So I was the kid that was a very, very picky eater. And even as an adult I struggle. I tend to eat a lot of the same foods over and over. And I don’t get sick of them. I just like condiments, such as mustard, ketchup, mayo, and ranch. However, I love anything spicy. So lots of Mexican food I found out in one of my college courses that I am what is known as a “super taster“. Basically one and so many people can taste the chemical compound in certain foods that make them taste very bitter. And although I am not diagnosed on the tism’ scale, I’m still considered Neurodivergent. Anxiety and very mild OCD. But I’ve learned as I’ve gotten older that this also affects how I eat in my food choices. I’m much better now at adapting and trying new things, but I am always far more comfortable ordering things. I already know I’m going to like. Listening to the food story made me think about this, and I just thought I would share!
There's so many different things that can affect how/what we can or can't eat. Sometimes they are "independant" and sometimes they are "tied" to a diagnosis like ASD. Personally, even with my fun list of stuff, I don't have anything related to food. I don't even have the gene that makes cilantro/koriander taste like soap 😂 My friend though, who just like me, has ASD, has this very interesting thing regarding food. He can't eat leftovers. It becomes like some physical block for him that he just can't. So he's very cautious to only cook enough so there aren't ever leftovers. He looked like he was about to pass out when I told him that I'd only eaten chicken and noodle wok for 4 months straight once 😅
Certain foods im willing to retry to see if my preference has changed but a lot of the textures are what get me. But i got covid so that changed my taste buds and now the things I use to love taste weird
I also am a picky eater, but in my opinion being a picky eater was the least of his faults, his comments and attitude towards other people's food is way worse.
The last one: as a pregnant mama, she is unable to recognize herself and is going through PPD. The PPD is even worse due to her not having therapy before pregnancy to make sure she’s not obsessing over food and exercise. I hope she gets the help she needs.
(Also don’t hit ppl including kids. That just teaches abusers to hide better and that strength wins) 36:43 or even better- chaperone should step in BEFORE the behavior escalates to touching.
I was so nervous yall were going to do a court episode and the story i chose would be on it. Defending OP would have been rough. Glad that wasnt the case. Great episode as usual. Happy hop-into-it 's post got featured for a little game.
I’m also an extremely picky eater and have similar eating habits as Jake, but the issue with him is not necessarily just that he’s picky and it’s a potential major point of contention with OP’s way of life. He’s just *rude*, and making comments about food looking gross is incredibly inconsiderate and annoying
I was married to a picky eater. Whenever I cooked, I had to make the majority of the food plain (as he ate more than me) and only my portion with flavor. He didn't enjoy most seasonings and refused to eat things that had onion, garlic, or any ingredients that were flavorful (also wouldn't eat most vegetables because they tasted healthy 😂). We used to go out to sushi weekly with my family and he'd order the chicken katsu every time. My dad slowly got him to try new things, but it was a battle (cooked rolls only, he was not ready for more than that). I also got him to try things from time to time and had a small list of flavorful things he was okay with. He still gravitated toward the most plain options and often would still remove things from the plain version. We were very opposite on foods we enjoyed because I love a lot of flavor so much I'll ask for extra AND I'll eat them on their own when I'm craving a particular flavor (usually something salty). I have no shame admitting I eat seasoning on its own if I'm not hungry, but I'm craving the flavor. 😅 Without getting into too much detail, he had cancer and radiation impacted his throat and ability to swallow food. He had to work back to eating by mouth again and was more willing to try new things after losing that ability. We had a list of foods he would be interested in trying. Some of his favorites (plain eggs, burgers, bison meat over white rice, and cereal) he dove into the second he was able to handle them again. Unfortunately we didn't get to knock out the list of things he was willing to try because he passed away. I wish he has the opportunity to experience some of the flavors he refused to try earlier because he assumed he wouldn't like it, however, I am glad he did get to enjoy food again before he passed on.
I feel like the guys didn't really understand the severity of the situation in the last story, with Josh saying that you can't help a person who doesn't want help, etc. Anorexia is the DEADLIEST mental illness there is! Its mortality rate is 20%, so 1 in 5 people who have it die of it. OP's wife may cause serious physical damage to herself or even die, if OP doesn't act soon. It's not just mild body dysmorphia that "everybody has", but something that can very quickly lead into very serious health risks. Pregnancy is often linked to anorexia flare up too, so I hope somebody got OP to take it seriously. It's past "go to therapy" state and it's time for full on anorexia-specific treatment, maybe even in-patient treatment - either by choice or by involuntary admission. It also doesn't sound like OP's wife truly ever recovered from anorexia even before getting pregnant, since her behaviour towards eating and exercising seemed to remain pretty obsessive even when she was doing better.
I went on one date with a guy that was a super picky eater. We went to a basic Italian restaurant and he got spaghetti and meatballs. While we were talking I found out the only other thing he eats is Chipotle. He ate nothing else. I like many different types of food and there's no way I could live like that

There is no need to ask the waiter a million questions. You know what you like, no reason the be like that. And the potluck? I can super relate to the mama with previous experiences of an ED. I too struggle/d with anorexia and with each pregnancy, I was so focused on shoving my problems aside to make sure the growing babes were healthy and okay, that afterwards…it was bad. My husband did, and still does, tell me he actually likes my “mom bod” more than my body before. Says I’m with a WOMAN now and we’re not teenagers, I don’t want a teenager body next to me at night. He’s so sweet and caring. I don’t necessarily believe him, but I know that’s an internal thing for me. Basically, mama needs therapy. She needs to work through this, before she starts to resent her partner, or possibly even her baby for the change in appearance. Especially if she was comfortable and happy with her appearance before birth. I hope she gets help, the weight of that struggle is very heavy.

I liked the meme on reddit. I had to do one of my favorites, but didn't include ages (because I don't think they say the ages in the movie or even the book)
It's really not kind to make fun of people who are picky eaters as adults. I'm autistic and sadly it makes me VERY picky. I cant handle super complicated flavors or conflicting textures/temperatures. For example, I cannot eat any type of vegetable on burgers, pizza, or sandwiches since either having warm veggies grosses me out or the veggies are cold while everything else is warm, which I also hate. And some people are also sensitive to certain textures of food, even if they like the taste, and sometimes just can't get past that. I'm someone who cannot force themselves to eat something they dont like, I'll literally gag on some foods. So, in order to not waste food, I almost never try new things as I dont want to throw it away. I have gotten better lately at branching out, but it's still so difficult to get past my "picky" eating. Also, it literally doesn't affect anyone except the person eating, so I dont get why NT people constantly feel the need to bully someone for being picky. Get over it.
Totally not okay to make fun of picky eaters, but I think the bigger thing here was how rude he was about it. Commenting on other people's foods and making faces is not cool. No one has to eat anything they don't want to but sometimes that can mean people aren't compatible as a couple

I was in my thirties before I knew what heartburn was. I was calling the tightness you feel before a burp heartburn and I didn’t get why people were so upset over minor discomfort.
Me too, I called my mum and said I think I might be having a heart attack 😂 she told me to have a drink of milk and if it eased off a bit it wasn’t a heart attack and I’d be fine😂😂
AITA for not telling my friend that my best friend was the one responsible for his parents' death because he had been mind fucked by a terrorist organization and he somehow did not really mean to do it?
At 41 I still prefer buttered noodles. Sometimes with garlic.
Seems like she was given a premonition to prepare her for that moment❤ sounds cringe I know😂
the OG demure video was a joke about the fact that she’s NOT demure. People using it the opposite way is sticking to the original intention 😭
Yup I think you guys nailed the movie guesses
7:58 no because 1 LISTEN TO YOUR PARTNER. if this one day she says hey that’s too much for me and then repeatedly over and over no then it’s a no regardless of personal experience. 9:07 shitty and selfish and self involved actually what do you mean he’s not listening to her. i’ve had partners who’ve never menstruated or don’t have as bad of symptoms of me still treat me well and give me the care i need in that time bc i let them know what i need and am capable of and TBEY LISTEN.
10:31 idk how good of intent you can truly have if you hear your partner say “no no no i can’t do that” and you keep pushing them what are yall talking about honestly
Who are you disagreeing with? 😅
@@RedditOnWiki the time i hit was wrong but whenever yall were saying op had good intent or it came from a good place i just don’t agree. i know yall said asshole and i generally agree i just felt yall gave too much grace lol
@@RedditOnWiki also i just tend to stream of consciousness comment bc i figure engagement is good and i do like yall lol
That's fair! He absolutely could have had malicious intent we just went with he's probably a dumb AH. Lol Either way no excuse for doing it!
There are two Kill Bills. 😉
Also, why is there like one white pixel in Josh's lefthand corner? It's driving me a bit mad now that I've noticed it. 😂
There is two pixels and they have been there for a while. I'm wondering if there is something on his camera because they never move, so it's not in the background. It's been driving me nuts lol
@@vellathewench right? He's going to have to get a white background if he can't fix it, so we can't see it then. 😂
20:25 he could’ve simply said, I’m so sorry! I didn’t realize food was so important to you (even though that’s kind of a lie if she’s a sous chef) and except it won’t work
dang my mom likes buttered noodles lol. she isnt a picky eater tho, its just something she likes as well as a normal pasta. im also a picky eater that doesnt eat seafood (not as bad as this guy), but the way he goes about it is crazy. at a potluck, you dont have to make rude comments about things that people worked hard on. just because i dont like it, doesnt mean its bad. im sure everyone else there liked the food. if it were me and there was *nothing* for me to eat, i would just hang out and eat afterwards. she has the right to dump him since they cant connect with food, but especially because of his rudeness
the wife whose body changed, she definitely had an ED beforehand. the way she ate and exercised is a type of ED cause there are different types of
i'm a pretty picky eater, but i can always find something to eat at any restaurant.
For the picky eater. I like how OP wonders if they are the “a-hole” for telling the truth and not ending the relationship for said reason… lol either way, same Op, freaken same. You ain’t wrong lol
I remember seeing Kill Bill in the theater 😂😂
How is that not malice?
I present to you:
Am I the Asshole for Tricking a Rich Guy(21) and Screwing Him Over for the Rest of His Life?
and
Am I(5M) the asshole for causing me and my friends(all 5) to get separated from our families and having to go through lots of danger to reunite with them?
Josh, trust me you've made a great decision to not watch the live action version.
Your ears will thank you. All I could hear was the... I don't even know how to describe it, mechanical(?), from Emma Watson being autotuned, when she has a singing role.
They should have gotten someone who can sing and not someone needing to be autotuned 😅

I thought the whole cutting board thing was kinda cute and sweet . It's not like he was trying to force her to help . He's just kinda dumb lol❤
