      @Fissuranal69 I only remember people treating him like a joke for the last 5 years though. His improvement has been steady, he just needs more wins like this to back himself (he has issues closing matches), and better consistency should come with that. All players ranked from 10 - 30 are slightly lacking in consistency, but ADF is very talented compared to most of that group.

    • @pureffm
      @pureffm Год назад +6

      @@payamirani5298 He has an autonomy of 2,5 sets. I didn't like his snickering when Alejandro rightfully contested the Hawkeye mark. It was the second time the mark was wrong, and it has happened in other matches as well. His body language was disdainful. Still I don't think the crowd should have booed him for so long. He choked in the tie breaker and is often pestering out loud. Yes he has 215kmh average first serves, but it is not always enough to stay alive. If he can improve his conditioning, he can get really dangerous in slam.

    I’m not a big fan of Rune’s attitude although I absolutely love his game. But today, he had to be given credit for staying calm when the Spanish crowd went nuts. His maturity level is going higher for sure. But he needs a humble coach. Juan Carlos can teach humility. Patrick is himself a social media hungry coach who comes all guns blazing. He is the last person to teach anyone humility and maturity.

    I gotta give it to Rune, that boy knows how to withstand pressure: he's a teenager on his second year on tour, playing a local, behaving like an idiot and still can clutch set points/break points. I can't say i appreciate his personnality but i recognize his tennis has already definitely some great qualities. If only he would not confuse the two.

En el juego en la red es mejor Alcaraz, en las dejadas es mejor Alcaraz, en remates, derecha y sobre todo en toma de decisiones. What a great match this was, it deserves extended highlights of just tennis, not the “drama”. Fact is the crowd was trying too hard to help Fokina, applauding every Rune’s error and fault serve for a big part of the match. Really annoying, but the umpire managed the situation really well in the second set and it was nice seeing that Rune thanked him and appreciated it at the 4:5 sit down of the second set.
    The third set could have gone either way, but Rune got too passive when he had Fokina on ropes after he failed to serve out the match. Rune had breakpoints at 5:5, but Fokina managed to regain his intensity and hit some furious forehand winners. Eventually won the tiebreak with pure will of a fighter. Rune would probably go deep cross court if he could play the last point again. But overally I think he gave it all he could and just lacked power to play more aggressive shots in the end. Quality match by both though.

      @@markuse3472 I will never understand judging matches by highlights only and even arguing with people who actually watched it live. I did and I can tell you the crowd was playing mind games with Rune and it really did play a part in the first set. I don’t think it’s good for tennis, fans should be respectful to players even when the have their countryman on court. Luckily the umpire showed his authority in the second set and even gave advice to Rune that helped him deal with it and keep his focus. It helped the match for sure and people could see more great tennis. Fokina deserved to win for having more energy and courage in the end. It’s much better outcome than winning with a help of crowd disrespecting the opponent. Some guys in the crowd booed Rune for no reason as he was leaving the court, but at least they didn’t ruin the third set.

    What an amazing game from both players and especially Fokina beating a top 10 player, huge performance there with some amazing shots and insane athleticism.
    Also, people need to stop telling Rune how to behave and how to act on the court, he has his own personnality and if people don't like him it's okay but people have to show respect to players and stop booing whenever they can boo someone.
    I just don't understand how people can boo a player like Rune who is just complaining but not really being agressive towards somebody and say nothing to players like McEnroe or Connors who were insulting and disrespecting a ton of individuals when they were playing.
