I’m relatively new to reading/keeping track of Chinese news, usually sticking to US and European politics, but your amazing coverage on the CCP’s corruption has brought me here, keep doing what you do!
(Also, looking sharp in that slick suit.)
This channel is pure propaganda tbh. I mean don't get me wrong, China has its problems and has it own imperialistic goals just like the US but this channel is not gonna give you any clear idea of what your average Chinese person is like or what actually happens in Chinese political discourse. This Channel makes them look like a monolith and confirm to pre-existing racist stereotypes of them to grift, like showing some bad quality products and justifying everything the Chinese produce as of the same quality, or some random criminal activity or a particular issue as something that is the norm which they are not. And also US or EU news wont give you any insight into global south issues, those are often euro-centric liberal views and dont tell the conext of the situation from the perspectives of the subject countries involved. You should probably go for multiple local sources from different political spectrum and analyse the provided evidense to understand geopolitics.
Always blame the other person but not for what you did wrong. We all have short comings in leadership but must work on them.

Taiwan's high mountains are SOO COOOLL! The Taroko Gorge, where the recent earthquake was centered is really magnificent. I rode up on my scooter during my lap around the island. The bicycle hillclimb record is held by TdF winner Vincenzo Nibali of Italy. That bike race would be incredible. Sea Level to over 12,000. feet in 55 miles. You can also backpack for weeks along trails up high. And near Taipei is an old growth forest thats truely amazing.

You should do a video on Xi's ideology on Taiwan. People underestimated ideology of Putin and Hamas, all saying they would risk the financial rewards and position they were in, and in both cases everyone got a reminder that ideology is a significant factor in organizational decision making.

David, more good reporting. You did some great reporting on the strange circumstances surrounding the death of Angela Chao after her husband proclaimed that he would no longer invest in China. Recently the fact that the MV Dali, the ship that destroyed the bridge in Baltimore, was owned by the company where Angela Chao was the CEO came to light. Coincidence?

David, I was watching another video where the repression Falun Gong was mentioned (but not the Uighurs) in the same context you mention it. I have seen no indication of protests in China against the repression of either of these groups. It seems that it is only groups outside of China that mention them. There are lots of protests in China, so it is not an issue of protest not happening.
So, my question is, do we know what the people in China really think about this issue? I have my suspicions, but I would rather hear yours.
Well if you protest in china you end up in jail. So with FLG, Uyghurs or any other group they require help from the outside to raise awareness.
