another day another mod showcase LET'S DO: Beachparty 4/10 The let's do mods are an odd case especially for me. I love all the ideas and motives behind their mods, but you will always be able to find better alternatives. For this mod specifically, it feels like you could just install Ecologics, Twigs, and Neapolitan and get the exact same experience. As i said before, nice features, good motive, but the execution is questionable. Feels like it should be back on 1.12.2 really. Species 9/10 oh my GOD I love this mod!!! Ninni (mod dev) did such a good job on implementing creatures that fit the tone of minecraft while making them unique from other mods such as alex's mobs. My personal favorite is the Birt, It's such a cute little guy and I adore him he needs to be protected. One thing of note is that the deepfish don't only spawn in oceans, they do spawn deep in caves, hence the name, deepfish! The only reason this is a 9/10 is because I have experienced instability with the mod before. I'm excited for the next update though! Items Displayed 6/10 Not too much to say about this mod, but it is super charming. I don't like the item limitations, and the way some items look, but in the end it won't affect gameplay too much unlike the mod I'm comparing it to, placeables. Overall, I think placeables is better just because of the better models in that mod combined with the fact display stands are NOT needed to show off any item, but placeables can be a bit intrusive when trying to do anything involving a shift click, so it's really just your choice. Blaster movement 6/10 It's very fun don't get me wrong, but I feel like this is not only way too expensive considering the fact you will have an elytra at that point, but also the fact that it needs to be reloaded while being very slow is not good at all. If this mod was tweaked to have unlimited ammo and the speed on it was boosted, I would really prefer this to the vanilla elytra in terms of balance. Fly high Rick May. If the mod dev added some small effects to all the weapons and gave the spear a range buff, this would be the best weapon mod out there, at least for vanilla plus players.
