- If we had to do it all over again and start with $500, this is what we would do. We break down some of the overall methods, while also laying out exactly which tools I would spend my money on starting off.
Here are our 5 key tips to starting successfully:
1- Start with Retail Arbitrage. The other methods are fine... but for those with small budgets, this is vital.
2- GO WIDE (not deep)
3- Reinvest 100%
4- Get the right tools for the right jobs (And put everything else into inventory)
5- utilize every free thing you possibly can.
A few specific tools we mention in the video:
Inventory Lab - bit.ly/HustleIL
Keepa - get.keepa.com/d6r28
Rakutan - bit.ly/HustleBuddiesRakutan
Raise - geta.raise.com/njackson15
And the follow up "Tools we use" video that goes much more in depth about what each of these tools does: • What tools you need to...

Good info!
This is great content! I like your positivity and honesty, I hope your business continues to strive.
Quick question. Is there a minimum quantity for shipping to Amazon?
Thanks!
Nope - though you will pay a lot if you are just shipping 1 item in 1 box vs shipping 100 items in 1 box.
Thank you for sharing
Great advice
Very great contents. I have just subscribed and want to learn.
Just wanted to chime in - I've been using plastic razor blades to remove tags and it works wonderfully with less risk to damaging the item.
amazing basic information
VERY HELPFULL
Thanks for the info and I’d love to start, I have been thinking about this business since many years but can’t seems to get into it for real because I have no experience and need real helping hands. Appreciate you guys and hey man here is a complement , you have got a beautiful girl , gorgeous take care of Alisha
This was a great video, very informative! Going to take this info along with how to start with a $100 and get this party started!
Glad it was helpful! Yeah there are a few differences with which tools to skip based on your starting budget, but hopefully watching both explained the reasoning I have behind the different options.
Any updates?
I thank God, I saw your video today.
This has been my dream for years I’m going to finally go in no more excuses or fears 💯
What's your business model?
I think both of you are brilliant ! Thank you for the clear no non-sense advice. Subbed and liked
Good info
About to come to Chicago soon hopefully do day job first and then want to venture in this kind of business
Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
Do you guys have a course? Subbed! Very practical advice! Love you guys! Keep inspiring new sellers!
We actually have a huge live (virtual) workshop event coming up in about 10 days! We try not to talk about that stuff too much on RUclips as we want this to be a place for our free content where people can come and learn all the basics for themselves.

Love it
Thanks bro jony from spain
A hair dryer works great for removing labels. It also works for removing labels from boxes allowing you to reuse them and reduce trash going to landfills.
Reusing a clearance label?
@@HustleBuddiesOfficial Reuse label? Is that what you got from my comment. Reuse the boxes.
There's a lady in this group I'm in that swears by you guys and she recommended this channel to a bunch of us. Glad to be apart of this!
We've tried really hard to be the best community for sellers... and because of that hard work, there are a lot of people that spread word of our content :)
In 2020 we were the fastest growing Amazon Facebook group by a large margin... and it was 100% word of mouth.
I have the same T shirt that Nate is wearing. I bet that's Old Navy!

You guys are awesome, keep up the great work.
What about ups barcodes? Have to buy before selling a product right?
Please don’t change your authenticity or channel. If anything once you guys get bigger maybe offer classes and other things. Your way of teaching is so authentic, really sick of the fake gurus
Thanks! We don't plan to :D
We actually do have a few in depth classes on our website. We don't push them out much on RUclips as this is our place for free content and we assume that if someone wants in depth training, they will go looking for it... I don't have to shove it down your throat.
So if you like this stuff, our actual classes are 10x more :D

Can u recommend the apps to use for in the uk?
you did not said anything about FBA Or FBM for starters ?
I started signing up for Amazon and It is saying that I can only sell books, DVD, music . So what are you guys talking about
THANKS GUYS! Q: Is this USD ??
What are the products to sell?
Thank you for helping us through, a lot of valuable information and answers to many of my questions I had and didn’t have 💪🏾😀 also if your business address your home address because that makes me feel weird, can I get a P.O. Box ? And can I do “FBA” with an individual accounts? And last question, do I need a LLC? (I literally started r4 days ago and clearly didn’t do enough research because I got verified and all.
Can I use my HP laser printer?
If I want to sell some old books, should I put them in a polybag or just put a label directly on them?
Most people just label it unless it's a high ticket book.
hey im looking for your video on how to buy retail arbitrage and how to ship to amazon
That's all of our videos, haha. They are all about RA. We've done a few behind the scenes shipping videos too.
what's the thermal printer for? is it to label your own product for UPC? or for shipping labels?
Both
Do u guys recommend buying lead list that includes the ungating process for beginners?
No I personally think that's a pretty bad idea for a beginner.
can you guys make a video on how to minimize taxes cost for an Amazon business, Thanks!
We did :)
How much is the class
What are the pros for using a thermal printer vs a regular ink printer?
All pros. No cons. You can start without one, but you will 100% need one for this business.
Can I upgrade to pro account if I already sent over 40 items from free account?
Do you have a video about selling products that are handmade? My wife and I have a started creating items from wooden votive holders, to hand burned (pyrography) growth charts, as well as scroll sawed pieces to name a few. I tried to register a amazon handmade account but was denied. Looking into it further I found that at one point a while back I had created an amazon seller account that was canceled because it was inactive... Not sure if this was the reason as amazon gave a multiple choice answer on why we were denied. Do we actually need handmade account or can we just sell our custom products through a seller account? Thanks a bunch!
Amazons not really the place for that imo. Stick to places like Etsy as that's where people go to buy handmade things.
Hi Guys,
1) is it legal to re-sell items from large chain stores?
2) We don't have Walmart in Australia what are my other options for sourcing products?
1) Yes. Very much so.
2) Lots of options in any country. Any local grocery store I'm sure will have things. I know you have Ikea and Cosco which we personally get a lot of items from as well.
Can I use the mobil app (Amazon seller) to start scanning items to ship?
Yes (If I understand your question correctly)
Where are you guys from?
Do you need to go store pick up items and send to customers?
Is there another way to get your product into your customers hands?
hello i would to get into this. im a canadian citizen trying to start FBM. my main question is when everyone talks about starting a amazon business they never really mention the business portion. do you need to get a llc? or incorporate? are you liable for any lawsuites when you ship out products? do you need to aquire somesort of insurance? would this not cut into your 500$ budget? or do you use all personal information, adress and bank accoutns and are liable to everything?
great video, cant wait to talk to you guys
You don't have to start with any of that and therefor it was not included here in this beginner video.
You can start it with your name and ID and run it as an individual until you are ready to form a business, get an llc, insurance, etc...
I'm a single individual, working as a steel worker.
I work 12-hour turns either three or four turns consecutively. Do you feel that starting an FBA business is feasible while I'm working these hours?
I wouldn’t see why not. Start small. I hope you can make it happen!
How do you send it to amazon do you create your own account with amazon or apply with amazon?
Please tell me about the launch in the market
☺️
I got my free labels yesterday
From where i can join ur FB group
Where can I find this how do I do this I'm interested please let me know
On this channel :)
I had bad experience on eBay, I don’t know about Amazon
I always wanted to do this, I’m going to start selling on Amazon.
Tell me how it goes please my ig is 116Gamers just curious God bless
Have you started?
How’s it been going ??

So my regular canon printer isn't sufficient?
No not really. You can sort of do it using avery 30 up labels.... but a thermal printer is something you very quickly realize is saving you way more time/money then not getting one did.
Is it legal to resell other company's merchandise?
Yes. "First Sale Doctrine" is the legalize keyword you can research if interested.
Also think about Walmart. They don't own the pop tart brand, but they sell them.
Hi, I enjoyed your video very much! I thought that I should ask you a question before subscribing, because I do watch RUclips channels l subscribe to.....My question is; I live in Toronto Ontario Canada, where shipping is extremely expensive, so l was thinking of starting with FBA. Are your videos good for Canadians overall ? If so, great ! If not, if you could kindly direct me, a former teacher and single mom of 10 year old twin boys, to the right RUclipsrs? Thank you so so much! I am very excited to start a new job! I have been a teacher for decades ( I just turned 59) and loved it but I am so emotionally ready to sell on Amazon!! Thank you ❤️ Holly Christmas (yes, for real!!)
You both look very cute together
So you go online or in store, and big random largely discounted items, have them at your house, then resell & ship them direct to the customer? Or you ship them to Amazon and they ship to customer?
99% of the time we ship it to Amazon. They store everything and fulfil the orders so nothing usually gets stored at our house.
@@HustleBuddiesOfficial If you buy online, do you ship products directly to amazon? I live in a not so great neighborhood.
@@HustleBuddiesOfficial if you're doing retail arbitrage though, you are going out to seek products, so then you store at your house and ship to Amazon once you have a good/big enough shipment?
No. You still have to receive them yourself.
You could hire a prepping warehouse to help if you are unable to receive packages yourself.
When I shop, I'll shop for a day and have enough to make a shipment. The shipment is either made that day or the next. You need to have enough space that you can process the shipment, but to me "storing" implies some sort of extended time that the items remain in my possession which is not the case.
So if you buy stuff at wal mart or any store and go to resell on amazon, I have to then ship the items then correct??
Yup. Your customer wont get it if it's just sitting in your basement :P
Was that a legitimate question?
@@melanatedopinions5396 😂😂😂
i dont even have a bathroom scale LOL.
Amazon no longer lets new sellers do retail arbitrage and will shut your account down for doing this. They ask for proof of where you bought the items and will no longer accept retail receipts. Amazon will only accept wholesale receipts. So what do you suggest for new sellers to do?
We've been doing this for 4 years. Amazon's own conferences have break out session for arbitrage sellers. This is a rumor started by those who either don't know... Or those trying to stop competition from doing what they do.
Retail receipts work just fine for authenticity (I literally have them one yesterday for a claim)
Music Matters, that is not true. I am brand new, and learning from Hustle Buddies, I just listed stuff I have not used, that was laying around my house :)
I did come across some stuff in my home I am restricted from and or need to request approval.
wish i found yall before i found the selling family.... feel they steered me in the wrong direction. i started with only $300 and because of miss information lost about $175 of it.
Mind sharing what you think was the wrong direction so that we can continue to steer people away from it?
For starters they said toys, grocery, beauty, home were all automatically ungated. They share a website and recommend this website that shows brands you can sell ungated (currently only 1 brand was correct). I bought A LOT of inventory that I can't sell in those categories because Amazon says I'm gated. I should've waited to be approved and that's on me but I wish they didn't say it was a safe bet to buy in those categories.
Other than scoutify 2 they recommend broken apps that don't work or scan.
Lastly, their videos are not at all updated and their walkthroughs are pretty useless which just makes things hard.
I'm having good luck so far with your videos. Things you've said seems to be more of what I'm experiencing and if I had watched your videos first I could've avoided thing.
Your videos and how you teach things make me want to purchase your beginners class and probably will tomorrow (pay day).
@@Tokiryu If you already have an account and have shipped things, skip the beginner class. That's all it covers
@@HustleBuddiesOfficial what is the beginner's class and will this business work for anyone outside of the USA? Thank you ❣️
So do you mean list one single item instead of a bunch of each if you don't have the budget for that? Is that possible? Should I ship it to Amazon? Or should I ship it by myself to customer? How about the shipping fee?
I'd say keep binge watching videos and join the FB group as thats a larger question that would be better answered just diving in :)
I really want to do Amazon business but i don't have no clue on how to start
Well you've come to the right channel :)
We've got lots of great tips for beginners. There's also the large Facebook group that is a great source of info: Facebook.com/groups/hustlebuddies
@@HustleBuddiesOfficial ok I've just send the request on Facebook.

Not in any way in my opinion.

Hello, im 21 and im literally tired of working under someone. I am really interested in starting a business, so far your video I've been more realistic. What advice would you give me?
1) Watch all the videos.
2) Join the Facebook group: Facebook.com/groups/hustlebuddies
3) Dive in and start making some mistakes
4) Keep your day job for as long as you can so you can snowball 100% of your business profits back into the business.
Wow, tired at age 21? Seriously!? You have 50+ long work years ahead of you, so change your attitude.
i hope you make it.
Start now. You'll be glad you did 10 years from now.
@@EriMBH I think you're the one who needs the attitude adjustment.
Most videos I've watched on this topic is someone trying to sell me a "class" wtf
You can absolutely do this without a class. Now we do have in depth advanced classes, but I'm not here to shove them down peoples throats. We felt like most folks weren't actually on youtube to help (but were just using it to sell their classes), so we came and fixed that :)
I'm confused. If you set up a professional account why do you need labels, boxes, etc.? I thought Amazon did all that??
How do you get your product to Amazon?
@@HustleBuddiesOfficial yes. I've been watching loads of videos, so helpful! But I think my mind is a little mush right now. I understand that after you source you list, but I keep hearing that Amazon does it all, packing shipping etc. if you sign up with FBA.

Is it really possible to start with $500?
Did you watch the whole video?
@@HustleBuddiesOfficial yes, i saw that it is possible, slowly but surely. But the cons is that on the starting month, it should be reinvesting if there is a sale? How bout buying small moq of products, is it also profitable?
