Derrick Jones Jr. switched agents to Rich Paul. That means he cannot sign a contract for 15 days. Word is that Jones Jr. is going to the Lakers. This is insurance, so yes, it's a good signing. 39% from three is great. Now, can they get Klay without losing Hardy or Green?
Losing Hardy or Green really doesn’t come into view tbh. Green’s money is essential if it’s a sign and trade and Omax has 10x the potential of a Hardy so no reason to even consider closing Omax.
As a Mavs fan, I like to hear this. Am unfamiliar with his game, but it seems he adds solid (although not elite) point of attack defense, can hang with scorers in the paint, has great hands, above average passing abilities for his position, can score a bit in the paint, and maybe has a good 3-stroke? Anyhow, we welcome him to the Mavs and look forward to rooting for him.
The superb thing is that the Mavs seem to improve their players lately quite a lot, so I expect the same with Marshall. To start with my first impressions, he is a better ball dribble and more secure penetration to the basket than Jones Jr, also more secure 3pointer. He has less verticality but excellent still, which is ok, Mavs have many vertical guys, we need better dribbles, Marshal seems to be same as PJ or better even. He is one year younger and a bit more frame build than Jones jr. Wingspan very much same above 7 feet.
I like this move a lot for the Mavs. You're right this isn't THE move that pushes them over the top, but it makes them at least a little better because Naji can ball a little with some of his playmaking and passing. DJJ really was just an 3nD (inefficient shooter) that can catch lobs and pretty much do nothing else 🤷♂️ I don't want Klay Thompson as their 3rd option, but i believe Jaden Hardy can be the 4th scoring option next year and having PJ and now Naji as their 5th and 6th scoring option who're capable of scoring a little and play high level defense is huge for the Mavs!
Naji is reported to be 6’7” with a 7’ wingspan. DJJ would have been signed by the Mavs if he didn’t mess it up by changing agents. Mavs couldn’t wait the mandatory time to start negotiations after that happened. DJJ cost himself same money and the chance to play for titles. Oh and a boat load of State Income Tax. 👀👻🤣
Not to mention Quentin Grimes shifty moves, long range shooting, and good defense like a small Ben Simmons is crazy. Forget about Klay Thompson who is used to be good defender. Hooe he could get it back, but his shooting would be a great help for the Dallas against Boston and GSW.
Dante need confidence, bc he is a good shooter(& defender)... What are Dallas going to do with Hardy, because something has to happen with him this offseason or they could lose him in 1 year when he becomes FA?..
I agree he is a huge connective piece that has insane ball handling for a bench wing and can just fill in whenever needed. Hopefully his shooting wasn’t a fluke. He does do too much from time to time but that’s something that can be figured out.
Everyone outside of luka was bs’ing in the finals besides exum (who should of been playing way more) gafford (who should of been playing more than lively)
Do you like this signing?

yes
Naji, Grimes, Klay vs. GREEN, THJ, DJJ...a clear win
Naji always brought energy. Green gave too many players minutes and we didn’t use him enough. Sad to see him go. Definitely a fan favorite.

If we get Klay Thompson w/o losing anyone more than Josh Green I’d say that’s probably a chip
👌😈
As always coming out with the quick analysis. I like the signing, just unsure if size is going to be an issue for the mavs at the Wings.
Yeah could definitely use a Taurean Prince type
@@barrettloweshowvet min?
@@jjcometa9333 doubt he’d sign for that little. If he does I want him on the Bucks 😁
Marshall is 6'7" 220.. Dude is bigger than DJJ..
@@djwhitman34does he play better Defense than Jones he didn’t play defense with the Pelicans
I'm thinking he's an upgrade to DJJ with room for growth. Great pick up in the uncertainty of DJJ and not spending too much on DJJ chasing consistency
I Think the issue is not about the talent, how he can go along with luka and kyrie..the mavs is stacked they just need a better 3point shooting players

He's got untapped playmaking ability. Naji pould possibly be a 3rd option.

Why did Pels let Naji go?
He’ll be coming off the bench, mavs are still hunting Klay
Klay will be coming soon watch
This is wild. Why is this vid getting more views than Chris Paul signing with spurs
🤷♂️
Maybe cause you didn’t like or comment on that one
who´s chris paul?
Is that really big news?
B/c spurs didnt make finals...and signing chris paul on a one yr deal aint going to put them in finals...
I wasn’t a huge fan of Derrick jones. Especially in the finals. He made a lot of dumb plays in the finals.

Smaller? He looks bigger than Tatum in some clips that I saw. He has a 7’1 wingspan too.
Might be tripping
Marshall is heavier than tatum.... tatum 1 inch higher than him.... hes has longer wingspan than tatum
