NIce job and video! One tip for crack climbing is to bring 1-2 large hexes on bandoliers. They are absolutely bomb-proof protection, cheap and light! Might be showing my age though lol 🙂
we toproped a bunch of things in that area 30 yrs ago. this one looks v2 to 5.8. upper part looks easier than "they died laughing" (i think that is nearby somewhere), but lower part looks harder.
Nice job overall. Not a fun start - myself, I don't like thin finger cruxes at the start. Seems like a nice, if somewhat biological, 5.10 hand crack otherwise. I'm an old geezer, 51 years rock climbing, sometimes I think past experiences has some value to the present. That new young climbers can learn something from old broken down climbers whose heydays were back in the last Millennium. If I may make a suggestion about your technique. My criticism concerns your cursing. Using just one work is a personal choice, a relative thing, like, say, modern art. IMO, one doesn't have to have the repertoire of a navy chief, one word can do. But if I may - at the appropriate time tacking on a "me" can really enhance the routine use of the "F" word. Like when you bobbled the blue cam just above the crux. The simple addition of the "me", especially with a bit of a whimper, adds an oddly satisfying element of self-flagellation, and more effectively communicates your desperation to onlookers.
That first move is KILLER for a 5.10 (which it "was" back when I did it.) The rest looks pretty casual with cams and pussygloves, neither of which were a thing back in my day. Nicely done!
This is sick dude, im glad you're posting these full lines! Gettin me hyped up for spring climbing
Nice! I enjoyed revisiting this climb in your video. I did it in about 1975. All passive pro, EBs, swami belt, no gloves or tape.

They died laughing is to the right. There are also two other 5.9 finger cracks right where this climb is, but died is all the way to left.
@@user-ky4jp8jf2p Died laughing is to the left.
What a beautiful day! Put draws on all your pro! Great climb!
Sick!
Henry Barber called this 5.9+, maybe as a joke
