Climbing Recluse 5.11a in Cathedral Ledge, New Hampshire. I think at one point this thing was given 5.10d, some would say even 5.11a is still a super sandbagged grade. I'll let you decide for yourself. My main channel: @NoahKane Patreon: www.patreon.com/NoahKanePOV

More minimally edited POV leads like this please
climbing in kalymnos is on my bucket list and id love to go. Youre so lucky to have climbed there!
Some interesting pro placements....
7:40 foot slip 👻
Nice send and video! Sew it up!
That was a fun climb. A Yosemite grade 5.10b.
Sure... can never mention a grade without armchair sandbaggers. Yosemite ain't that stiff.
nice job dude! Hoping to lead this next season and it's nice to see your POV for beta.
Making 5.11 look easy!
Really impressive
Loved to see the struggle. Trying to find the right placement. Switching between jams. A little cam bump here and there. Bit of faffing is all part of a successful onsight! Way to keep a good head on you. Honestly a little surprised how shiny those cams are given the grade you're climbing at.
2:00 that’s a bad feeling, just cycling through gear. We’ve all been there.
👊 well done !
TC Pros?? Braddah...!?
You should do a main channel video about Squamish!
I think you are really over-using your upper body, and not getting enough out of your foot jams here.
"no, fing get in there!"....😂I too talk to my hands and feet when jamming, very relatable.
Wow, what a beautiful line! Insane. I loved how calm you were after all of that sustained crack climbing when you just said "Yeah, you can take". Personally I wouldn't have bumped gear that much, it looks like you are on a single point of failure at times when the gear is that spread out, and cams have slipped out in sandstone. Look up Göran Kropp. Though I'm not here to safety-shame you! Each to their own comfort level, and oyu fucking SENT IT! :D Love these POV-videos btw! Started doing some of my own, but Swedish cranite doesn't really offer this sort of splitter cracks!
One day these amazing sandstone lines will be gone. But climbing them is so bloody fun I don’t know what to think about it
That was wild
I used to my belayers to shut the hell up. I couldnt stand having people yap at me everytime I moved! 😂
Henry Barber called this 5.9+, maybe as a joke
Great climbing noah! -from a guy who climbs!
Awesome! These kind of climbs I want a crash pad for haha
I climbed this 33 years ago when the crack actually had sharp edges that kind of hurt. It's unsettling to see what it looks like now.
What a beautiful day! Put draws on all your pro! Great climb!
👍👍😁
Lmao those post clip sighs of relief are so real - good stuff
dope!
helluva a burn, bud!
Sick!
my cardio is probably worse. its hard to watch him gas like that knowing exactly how it feels to run out of gas on a trad line. great job.
Nice! I enjoyed revisiting this climb in your video. I did it in about 1975. All passive pro, EBs, swami belt, no gloves or tape.
NIce job and video! One tip for crack climbing is to bring 1-2 large hexes on bandoliers. They are absolutely bomb-proof protection, cheap and light! Might be showing my age though lol 🙂
nice knee bar!
Nice one man, love Kalymnos, looking forward to doing this in Autumn! Will be studying this video 😂
🎉🎉🎉
😮😮😮
How do you make this recording look so good? I've tried recording with a gopro on my helmet but it doesn't show my entire body like your video shows. Do you do anything special to position your camera?
Fisheye or wideangle lens is probably on there. Bought separately for gopro
Love to see more of this tipe of videos I love them I wound be soo cool to see those on trees
May I recommend - The Rock Warriors Way by Arno Ilgner :)
great quality footage, prefect fov
May God protect you, man, take care of yourself. Greetings to you from Libya 🇱🇾
Nice effort! There's nothing harder than picking the right piece when you're gripped--you've nothing to apologize for! I was surprised that you were able to recover during those "rests", even on the jug. Those looked pretty strenuous and I'd have thought you'd be better off with a quick shake and moving on. Easy to say that from here though.
What do you use to record? Looks amazing
Nice attempt. I’m guessing this was your onsight attempt, and I know you have a ton of gear climbing experience, but you’d waste so much less energy by 1) picking a placement you’re confident in and sticking to it, and 2) not placing gear in the way of your upcoming jams. Especially on a sporty pitch like this, it makes a huge difference.
Breathing like that in the beginning, 5 moves up, lol... all mental. I only know because i do it too )
What I would only attempt in my dreams
your cardio needs work. nice vid
