    He is the equivalent of what MJ was to Basketball, Ohtani is single-handedly reviving the sport that many felt was not drawing enough attention. Once he gets some post season games under his belt, it’s a fucking wrap!!! Ohtani San 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽🦄🦄🦄🦄

      MJ, Gretzky, and maybe Bo/Deion combined into one super athlete. I want to see Shohei chuck a football or take out a receiver just for fun.

      Before 2021 I never watched the MLB in my 25 years of life. Now I’m consistently tuning into the Angels games just to watch Shohei make history. Hope he can get onto a better team soon. If he can get onto an actual contending team with a big market, then he’ll really take baseball to the next level.

    Before the 2021 season, no one knew what kind of player Ohtani was, except CC. I remember him saying during Spring Training of that year that Ohtani was the best player in baseball. Love Jeter, but not sure he's the first retired Yankees player people should think of to run their team.

      I’m obviously not an MLB player but oml I had the same reaction as CC to Ohtani purely off eye test in 2019. He’s the best player I’ve ever seen. Now he still had a lot to prove then as he does now but purely off eye test he jumps off the page like no one else.

    I appreciate how much of an Ohtani fan CC is, even though he exaggerates just a bit on some of the details. I think it's funny how many guys, especially other players, perceive Ohtani to be a huge dude. He's listed at 6'4" and 210, as he has been for the last four or five years. I think he's actually closer to 6'5" and certainly closer to 220, but CC describes him as 6'6" and 250 lbs. Other players say he's really big and it surprises them when they see him in person. He's definitely more bulked, but not in an excessive way like heavy lifting would produce, than he was when he joined the Angels. Anyway, his talent is incredible. He's one of a kind, a player who is historically unique and transcendent of the sport itself.

    • @dathunderman4
      @dathunderman4 Год назад

      Well Trout is listed as 6’2 and Ohtani seems a good 4 inches taller than Trout.
      You see this with basketball a lot too tho. Basically it’s because once you’re past a certain height, a couple inches here and there don’t really matter much. Like 6’10, sometimes even 6’9 guys in basketball will be labeled as “7-foot.” Jordan was really 6’4 without shoes but people say he’s 6’6 and he’s listed as that. I imagine in basketball tho there’s more of a motivation to exaggerate height since height has such a direct effect on the game

    • @surfwriter8461
      @surfwriter8461 Год назад

      @@dathunderman4 Yes, Ohtani looks a lot taller than Trout. I doubt that Trout is 6'2". I think he's closer to 6' even. My guess is that Ohtani is just short of 6'5" and 218 lbs. or so.

      The crazy thing is, Ohtani can probably even play a decent RF. Trout had said that he thinks Shohei would be an above-average outfielder and Maddon raved about his ability to track fly balls. We already know he has a strong arm.

      No way he stays in the angels. Why the hell is will be stay? Shohei cares about legacy and he will get paid at any team. If you are a century talent like shohei, legacy matters the most. Not loyalty…. Shohei needs to win a championship in order to be in the goat conversation. He will not win anything in the angels.
