Those are fun Super 8 movies. I have quite a large collection and I even managed to buy a bulk lot of 50 films or more on eBay for roughly $3 per movie including many Universal monsters horror movies, 'The Planet of the Apes' movies, some Laurel & Hardy comedies, etc. Later from other eBay sellers, I purchased 8mm or Super 8mm prints of Fritz Lang's 'Metropolis', F.W. Murnau's 'Nosferatu', Disney's 'The Black Hole' (like you have, Ian Marchant), 'Star Wars', 'The Empire Strikes Back', 'The Magnificent Seven', 'Westworld' (three reels for a complete 'Westworld' movie), etc. However, a lot of 8mm and Super 8 movies are quite expensive if one is purchasing them on eBay to the point that it's cheaper to buy Blu-rays instead of films even though the film projector experience certainly adds to the fun of watching movies. :)
Sounds like a great collection. I agree if you are buying to just watch the film then bluray makes much more sense so I see these as more interactive collectibles. Some of the prices on Ebay are crazy, like $5,000 dollars for the 1931 Dracula etc. The best way is probably buying a collection as the prices would even out I suppose.
The Black Hole is one of my favourite sci fi movies. Brilliant collection!
Thanks, it is a great film :)

Ah, the sound of film clattering through the gate
Music to our ears
Yes, that's all part of the fun for sure. :)
