    That Spot and that View is Amazing! I'm a Disabled Veteran and I'd give my whole check every month to have a place like that to call Home. My dream is to have a little spot in the woods or the mountains for me and my Service Dog to be away from everything and disappear. Perfect little spot you have right there.

    I like how you guys spent all that extra time to make sure no framing material gets rained on! Here in Seattle area, even expensive custom home builders don’t want to go extra mile to protect their building. It’s “Sorry, it’s Seattle, can’t do anything about it 🤷🏻‍♂️” type of deal

      First home build. Learned lots. Happy to say the customer is perfectly happy 3 years later. All nine of us built this over 6 weeks time for a total of $12,000. Gotta start somewhere and this video has got me two more contracts to build exactly as you see(minus the wet material)

    Next cabin build , in my humble opinion, brace fly rafters on the overhang and stagger joints on plywood decking to include those areas. Over time they will sag and cause leakages in your roof system.
    Humbly submitted. Thank you for an excellent video and great music choice.

    It's funny how the cabin seems like it's bigger on the inside than on the outside. 👍

    I realize you put in under floor insulation and some plywood to I assume to hold it up. I hope in the future you line the underneath of your cabin with wire mesh as critters like to chew there way in and be a pain in your arse for many years to come.. Otherwise i enjoyed this time lapse build, Hope you spend many years enjoying your cabin, the sounds of pitter patter of little feet every morning, A life time of memories with family and good friends.. Cheers Pal..

      This was a build for a friend. We are currently building one as a guest cabin. Undercharged for this on purpose at $12k but gained more experience and training for the kids. This was our 9th in six yrs in Alaska. Lots of good times

    Looks like a good place for a wind turbine for energy ?? Is R19 enough !? What does it look like now ?

    • @jedidiah5131
      @jedidiah5131 2 года назад

      I wonder if its too windy for a turbine as I know this place does have very high winds...The previous owner on my property had to take his wind turbine down because of high winds and the breaking function /built in safety kept failing and even when that worked he said he thought it would collapse one day.......Another guy had a complete collapse of his turbine, I would like to know what happened but he he's not people friendly lol...his wind turbine was very large, I would guess 90' up at least, and I would say each blade was 20' long....for a span od 40'.
