The murder of Heidi McCourt sealed their fate of the Van Der Linde gang. There was absolutely no reason for Dutch to murder that young girl, even if Micah encouraged it, Dutch was insane all along. The game states that a man doesn’t change, he just shows who he truly is.

Yes, I'm tired of people blaming Micah for everything. Dutch was an adult. He is responsible for his own actions.

Hear me out…Micah seems like he’s been on the wild side. I think he dabbled in psycho drugs and knew how they could help out. So Dutch and Micah were tripping balls and things just went sideways

You're style of storytelling reminds me of the great Harry's Horror Hive, you have a real good knack of getting a point across through storytelling, great work.

Honestly, I do think he's somewhat worse than Micah. Dutch tries to act like he's this great guy who is too good for the world. Even from Colter before he went "crazy", he reminds me of manipulators from my own childhood. He knows how to make you feel like garbage. You don't do something he wants, he would pull at your strings until you either do so or snap. And if that isn't enough, he'll manipulate people close to you and try to turn them against you. Micah's a monster, but he admits who he is and doesn't pretend to be this grand standing guy. He's a survivor.
Can Dutch be redeemed? Well, maybe, the redemption would come with HEAVY PRICES and a lot of HUMBLING. He would have to be brought down to the lowest of the dumps and rebuilt from the ground up. JAVIER and BILL (before RDR1 at least) are more redeemable than Dutch. People are like Hosea could have reasoned with Dutch in Beaver Hollow, but let's face it, Dutch treated Hosea badly in Colter. Javier treated Tilly nicely and Bill held affection in his heart for Cain. Javier and Bill is far more tragic than Dutch because I actually do think Arthur and/or John could redeem them. Dutch would want to change on HIS terms until almost the very end. And I'm glad that there are many people pointing that out in either the fanfiction worlds or when it comes to the topic.

Sure and then what ? The gang go to Ambarino and we replay RDR2 ? And what about free roam, we do a massacre and then what ? This is the shitiest and dumbest idea I ever heard. This idea is as shit as a RDR3 that will follow Jack story.

Very interesting video, I throughroughly enjoyed it, and while I am not negating from all your points, I do want to point out a conversation Dutch had with Hosea about how he "messed up in Blackwater and made a fool of himself" I just thought I'd bring it up at least. Thoughts on that?

@@rdrenjoyeryeah, I’m not interested in any stories taking place after RDR1. Certainly not interested in anything taking place during WW1. It’d have to be another prequel taking place not too long before RDR2 or it’ll have to take place alongside of RDR2.

Nah, I think Red Dead Redemption 3 should be the story of Landon Ricketts. With a young Landon Ricketts, seeing his journey through the old west in it’s prime. His shootout against the Butcher Brother, him being the fastest gunslinger in the west, becoming a lawman in Blackwater, maybe a side story of him and his wife, having some sort of altercation and confrontations with Agent Ross and Milton, hearing about a Van Der Linde gang, with main storyline ending with the Blackwater Massacre in his perspective finally witnessing what went down. I would love to know if he knew Heidi McCourt, maybe that was his love that Dutch murdered, and I would love to see that it was Landon Ricketts who killed Jenny Kirk and Mac Calloway.
Epilogue 1: Traumatized by the events of Blackwater, Ricketts starts questioning the law, his stay in the country, and even Maybe his wife dies.
Epilogue 2: Him moving to Mexico, becoming some sort of hero and a 13:58 vigilante living a "quiet" life.
Epilogue 3: a full circle cameo by RDR1 John Marston, as Marston and Ricketts say their farewells at the boarder as John needs to head back to Mexico to find Javier Escuella. A scene in 1914 shows an aged Landon Ricketts hearing about the death of Dutch Van Der Lindes death, but also Marstons. He narrates the final scene, how killing man is a strange kind of fame, how there is No Country For Old Men, and we see he was talking to Jack Marston who will make a book about Landon Ricketts, and he dies peacefully in his sleep.
The true moment when The West finally died.
