Do u ever go over the drop (the steep drops that are in the delta) and drop a jig? You gotta find a nice drop and jig somthing that will move up and down not side to side. You can bait the jig as well. I find it a nice switch when it's warm you never know what you'll pick up from bass, big catfish, even sturgeon. Have a blast.
Greg I've looked at charts for the Delta and the different things that may affect the fishing! You have a spider web of waterways to deal with and i can see it will be a challenge at least at times. I think maintaining your focus is what has to be done, just as you found that female after sorting through those little fish. I hope your tournament goes well and you find those big females.
YEEHAW I'm so glad you brought your net this time for your PB fish. What a monster toad! Congrats Gregg 👍👍👍 As always, thanks for showcasing the Delta. I continue taking notes on lures and techniques to he!p get fish into the boat. Continue to have fun and stay safe out there. 😊
Was just out there today, where I was at had so much debris! Wish it was cleaner water like where u fished at. Guess need to find a new launch. Great catch! Hoping I land on a biggin soon as well
@@GregBlanchardFishing honestly just GTA punch the heaviest nasty shit...or way back in tullies where no bass boat goes!! Throw where nobody else will and that's where GINA is!!! 😂
Greg ur videos have made me realize how similar the California delta and the Delaware river are I swear I been experiencing the exact same thing here it seems as if all the big fish just disappeared. I haven't seen a fish over 5lbs this year and not even other people have even yak fisherman I've ran into that have literally wondered same thing but. I think sooner or later they have to come by.
Greg what a fish bro!! I thought it was another 13" fish, until it started to fight near the boat. That was awesome, good luck in the tournament. Love the Delta Tournaments. 💯 🎣 🛶 🌊
Damn, that one that broke you off looked like you swung on something serious! I could here your mind saying why TF did I not re-tie. Beautiful fish. Good luck on tournament day.
The potential for Giant Florida strain Largemouth, on the Delta is phenomenal. Caught a lot of big bass on blades, but my POB is an 11.4 oz. toady. Caught it fluttering a 5/8 oz. Rod Strainer spinnerbait, on a riprap bank at the back of a large marina, 3 miles north east of Buckley Cove. hint...
Not too sure of the tournament rules but if you can bring a casting net for the shad as baitfish maybe after the tournament so that you can get some lunkers, that would go crazy!! ❤❤
Hey Greg, would you mind sharing with me the exact drop-shot worm that you were using the color looks awesome! Thanks again for the vids keep them coming
Thanks for another banger Greg! Man the Delta has always been tough for me, everywhere looks good to cast! By the way, what knot do you tie? I notice there are two tag ends from you cutting through a loop.
Where did you launch at greg. I think I know where that at but not too sure if it’s true. When you went under the bridge we was just on the shore a week ago on shore. We couldn’t go over the bridge so we fish right by the bridge
This is my first time watchingi your video's. Great video but wow I'm surprised at the water you're carrying in that kayak. I fish an OldTown 120 so maybe it's just because that is a larger yak. I fish saltwater on the swFL coast.
Do all Native kayaks take in that much water? Might preorder the Titan X, thats why I am asking. Seems there is a good amount that your feet are sloshing around in. Nice action video!
Just curious, and I’m sure you’ve answered this many times. But what kind of trolling motor thrust does your kayak have? What battery are you using? And how much run time do you typically get from it? thanks
Greg did you re-tie after you caught that 7.5 lb bass. If you didn't and broke off on the next fish that would be bad tournament day. I felt the pain in practice.
Haha for sure. It's all relative. That Otisco fish is probably 1 in 10,000 where a fish like this on the Delta is 1 in 500 (well maybe more like 1000 this year atleast)
@@GregBlanchardFishing I’ve lived my entire life in the finger lakes area and I’ve never heard of a large mouth that big. We get big brown ones as you well know, but largies over 6 are exceptionally rare, and your reaction to that fish tells that same story.

Awesome! I use the Jimmy houston knot for all straight fluorocarbon applications. I snell my punch rig setup and I use a palomar knot for the drop shot rig.
@@GregBlanchardFishing ok awesome, I know the palomar , but the other two I will look up and learn. On your videos I always like to the notes to see what line you rig with. I like a challenge. Thank you so much. I live on Lake Murray SC. Hope to see you here competing at some point. Kelly
@@SethVenableFishing Thank you so much. I’ve been in this lake before it had only a handful of homes. My father was a professional angler in the 80’s and as crazy as it sounds, i wasn’t into fishing as a kid, I was into skiing and kneeboarding. In my twenties, I took up fly fishing and was always up in western NC. The rivers are a bit dangerous for me alone at my age, so I decided because of Greg’s inspiration to go for it in the kayak. I’m looking forward to learning these techniques. Happy 4th of July 😊
@@TheDarkHorse949 Happy 4th to you! Fly fishing is something I haven’t spent much time doing… I bet it would be a blast up in the mountains of the Carolinas though! Enjoy the journey of this new kayaking experience!
If you keep the scuppers in it's a dry ride. I jam around with my motor which kicks up water so I just leave them out and its always draining although it looks like theres a lot more water in there than at least what I notice - maybe i'm used to it
I know you like throwing a Senko, and you should keep throwing it but, you really should through a 7 inch instead and you'll see more of those big bass.
Braided violin time ❤ love a punch bite.
