I have the same filter i fill the two top trays with biohome ultimate and the bottom tray the same as you, i also have a little intake sponge in the tank, this works really well for me .
I love these videos!! I have been fishkeeping since i was just a little girl with my dad and now im doing an animal science degree and have 2 fancy goldfish that are almost 8 years old in a 112L tank with a homemade stand and a somehwat run down Seachem Tidal 75 filter, (both which need a good upgrade haha). Anyway, I love this as i am thinking of getting this exact setup for them! they need more space :)
Scoobz pleased the media worked 👏 My layout is done different to yours. I don't think you know but you have Detritus worms in your tank, that fine brown dirty film is Mulm 😉 in the gardener world great compost they eat away at the waste & turn it to Mulm & they're great live food for fish. The difference in your tank in 2 days is excellent ❤
@@ScoobzNPetz Now your water is clear you will & when you put your light on look for a thin white piece of string wiggling in the water but after the lights settle they go back to the surface, they have no head 😂 As soon as I saw your waste I knew it was mulm, so keep looking each morning because if you have them it's a good ecosystem going 👍 Scooby watch this video I learnt a lot when I saw mine ruclips.net/video/MtnMLB0Pn74/видео.html
What filter do you have? If it’s something like a u4 I would definitely recommend upgrading to a canister filter. That alone can clear your water right up, if not I’d say do the same upgrades I do in this video. It definitely works!
Considering the size our you tank it might be worth investing on a bigger filter.. Less work for you in the end. Love your channel though been following for a minute
What a difference! I need to clean my filter this weekend, will try that first and if it's still cloudy I will do this. Great video
Thank you! Let me know how it goes !

@@skedwin3020 Thank you for sharing your experience, I’ll look into the biohome ultimate
@ScoobzNPetz be careful not to overfill with media as that'll cause a leak as I found out.

@@ScoobzNPetz and i have just finished my white spot treatment completed and i have turn on Carbon filter along with canister filter is it fine ?
Where do you purchase your NT labs products?
I buy all of my products either from wholesale tropicals or fish planet. If I can’t find what I’m looking for there I’d go pets at home or online
Hi. Your filter was terribly dirty. After how long you cleaned your filter?
I clean my filter every few months. All that dirt holds the beneficial bacteria that’s essential for your aquarium

Thank you, appreciate it! And yeah I’ve been considering running 2 filters on it, going to do that soon hopefully
I would be careful not to use to much phosphate remover it can affect your plants
Really? I didn’t know that thank you for letting me know!
