- (15 Oct 1978) For the second time within the space of two months, St. Peter's Square in the Vatican City, was crowded with mourners at the funeral of a Pope. With his Pontificate only just over a month old, the World was shocked to hear of the death of Pope John-Paul I.

I can still remember my shock and sadness at his death. He is not forgotten!

He was elevated to the cardinalate in 1965.
