Discovered these guys at coachella 2018. Wanted to roam around and see some acts i havent seen before so i split from my group. I ended up in a dark corner of the grounds that contained an unassuming tent and maybe some portapotties. So i investigated. Inside was a punky band aka the oh sees and a relatively small crowd moshing. Once again, spontaneity and exploration presents me with such a fruitful experience. Long live osees!!!!
My wife and I met John at kop’s records in Toronto before their show on my birthday! It was one of the best shows I’ve seen and the best birthday every!

I have seen them twice! you have to be there :) they make you feel alive!!! :) forget all those silly little bands who think they are too cool to be fun!! the Osees give you 200 percent energy, fun and effort!!! very loud as well :)
The level of intensity these dudes play at can usually be found halfway though a bands set, once they've been warmed up gotten comfortable. You can find that intensity with Osees from the down beat of the first song to the last note of the last song. Fucking amazing

A very similar setlist on the show in Vienna. JP ended it really pissed off and threw a piece of paper before he left. Since I was in the front row and the lights went up and the band had already left the stage, I climbed up and took the setlist. Promptly a guy showed up while I was glancing at the paper and took it from me, throwing me off the stage. It was a crazy gig, I think I surfed for thirty meters at least, round and round while they were blasting Withered Hand in the full Osees might and glory.
Oh damn john looks mad at someone, guessing someone he hired to help AND he's shouting cuz he did not have the squeeky rubber ducky out by the stage for The Daily Heavy. Never seen them with help, that's all i can think it was.
@@Grandremone You can see John signaling to someone on the side when the dream is ending at 15:00 and calls the guy over, guy walks over, they don't say anything to each other because perhaps John didn't see him and then John just starts the next song while giving a death glance to the sidestage where his help was. John brings the squeeker on the road for the daily heavy, if you listen on the album you'll know what I'm talking about. The whole beginning of the song is outta sorts because the band is used to hearing the squeeker, so john just goes in on the vocals before Tim is even playing the bassline or Tom is doing any synth.

It seemed like sound issues in the dream, cuz it looked like.he was wailing his arms in the air at the sound guy, then went right into the first verse of daily heavy with out the squeaker, and during rogue planet he looks to be shouting at Tim and Tom. Lol something was definitely up
you see... those drummers don't need to be so emotional about what they're playing, bc it's so intense, so just need to be calm and steady haha maybe inside they're waaay euphoric lol

J'espère qu'ils seront a nouveau a la route du rock 2024 pour enfin pouvoir aller les voir!!! J'attends ça avec impatience! Le line up de l'an dernier était incroyable. Je regrette trop de pas y avoir été. 4 de mes groupes préférés y etaient avece eux, brian jonestown massacre, black angels et king gizzard. Que du lourd!!!

Quand tu vois comment certains galèrent a ne trouver ne serait ce qu'un batteur potable😅... c'est drole parce que j'ai souvent remarqué que les meilleurs n'ont pas besoin d'une batterie énorme faite de 15000 futs, cymbales et double grosse caisse pour faire parler leur talent. Bien souvent ceux qui ont les plus petites sont les plus doués. Suffit de regarder ceux issus du jazz.
Love these guys, but damn do they need to expand their touring material. With the exception of Intercepted Message, I heard every single one of these songs last year. And the year before that I heard all the songs on this setlist, save for the songs on A Foul Form. Both were great shows, but its so weird to me that they dont rotate the classics more when they have such an expansive catalogue of music.
Also what’s up with the sound on this one? Sounds muddy, the 2014 show sounds so much better sonically, was he getting annoyed during the set due to the sound guy?
