bit late to the party ;) but i totally agree. this band certainly knows where their frequencies are. guitar in high mids and treble, going crazy and providing texture and stabs etc while bass and drums lay down the foundation. mixing the bass into the background is only detrimental for this kind of music.
How is it possible that this band can be so awesome? Like, I haven't thought of a band as being straight up "cool" in years but damn. The music and the album covers and the D&D/fantasy references and John's live energy. Just damn.
@@joseyjudson1287 i dig both, well all who is influenced by jpd, like ty n mootheart, and you can definitely tell stu n the gang were influenced by the king. 🤘 as long as the energy n vibes keep a coming! I'm not comparing a tall! ❤
Doesn't get much better than this when it comes to psychedelic music or even garage rock.. Oh Sees is the most perfect mix of the two I can't get enough.
i was literally watching this on 1.25 speed and i was doubting am i too high or is it the right speed then after 3 minutes i realized they also have 2 drummers and i had to ask my cat what he thinks about all that
And your cat said, "Well, to begin with, I am a cat, but not yours, save by my own semi-feral cognitions. The Melvins dual drum from time to time. Same can be said even of KLF. But yeah, it's still rare and cool, just maybe not as original as some might say." And then the cat thought some more about killing anything it could get away with killing.
Thank you so much for this! I was up front the whole show and I was the guy at 39:10 that is being made fun of by John for being so adamant about him playing I Come from the Mountain. Now I can relive one of the best shows I've ever attended.
It's so trippy watching this, the music is so cool and interesting and when you zone out listening but just focus on the drummers it's like watching a strange psychedelic dance routine
Andrew Olynyk what happened to Brigid? or even the bassist, Peter was it? He always killed it. hell, what happened to that whole og lineup, even the drummer who always looked like he had to shit. Always went hard.
@@andrewolynyk2770 I agree that this lineup is awesome, but John, Brigid, petey, and Mike were awesome together. I hope they can at least get Brigid back

The "Encrypted Bounce" extended jam was just awesome and the dual drums and bass just driving it on and on. Then when it was over "whew!" and John Dwyer apologizes to the crowd!!!! LOL I wish it and any other "extended" plays were on a list and downloadable.
Thanks for saying so, we were only allowed one camera operator, an hour and a half single shot was a workout! There’s also some 360 footage from John’s side that is amazing.
I'm not saying everyone has to like the same kind/type of music. But the Oh Sees? You're a goddamned buffoon if you gave this a thumbs down! GENIUS BAND/UPLOAD!
If there is an alien invasion some day this band is going to save the world with this out of this world sound !! Those two drummers , that cool as shiz bass lines and that killer guitar that transcends time and space !!! Man love this band !!!
As a bass player I am so torqued on how high it is in the mix
its wrapping the wall of noise

Take a look to King Gizzard's stuff!
Sorry but Dwyer is the real king.
Josey judson that’s a fact

his guitar sounds like thunder being played by the gods
john is a god.

good and loud. don't be scared *bleep*

+Sg1Ironman we remember, hilarious! Was a great show!
I wish they would come back to Florida again. How much are tickets to Cali?
Good call!
They ripped right threw it!
:D
it is indeed one of their best songs the riff is addictive as hell i cant count how many times ive listened to it allready
the mix is incredibly good its a pleasure to hear tim so clearly
RegularDude exactly what i was thinking! they tend to keep the bass pretty low in the mix
@@slayerattack3751 Its a shame when you got a rock solid bass player like tim.
@@RegularDude00 I freaking love their bass lines. It's like getting bludgeoned over the head, but in a good way. Tim is amazing.
@@taiidaniblues7792 Yeah me too. John is so privileged having this rythm section.

Oh Sees do not fuck around with their live sound. This sounds so good.
+BazookaHorse glad you like it!
The bass on The Dream just kills me every time.
The sound quality is better than their live album! Wicked sweet
I love how they all play up front, as a huge direct wall of sound with the drums at center stage. Awesome sound!
One of their best performances they have on RUclips. They are fantastic and give 100% every time. Thank you for upload!
120% even
Yup. Honestly, if they give 25% when I see them before Halloween, that'll still be the best show ever!
Plastic Plant is one fuckin badass song
Oh Sees...... a band that cannot be Shazamed! Awesome music.
I'm getting absolutely zooted to this tonight, and it is beautiful
The drumming is absolutely hypnotic
the *ONLY* thing that could make this better is brigid on backup vocals .. miss her. but gotta hand it to dwyer, this line up is KILLER
