    Glad you agreed about Ong Soo Han the big Chinese guy that fought Jason Scott Lee in Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story in the ice factory scene, for the guy had the god given/ inherited height (6'1" ) muscularity, & martial arts skills (tae kwon do black belt), but the 1 flaw that hindered him in my opinion was his lack of self belief in himself also known as a lack of heart. It reminded me of the Rocky movie when Apollo Creed said to Rocky that he was able to beat all those guys was because he had heart & Ong didn't have enough. Ong was from Asia & even spoke the language & knew the culture & always felt if there were barriers hindering him in the US film market that he was in a position to go back to Hong Kong & stick to acting & figured he would probably have the success of say a Simon Yam ( only a shade below the success of Yun Fat in the field of acting) the Chinese guy that played lead villain opposite Angelina Jolie in Tomb Raider by now & Yam even turned down a role in Yun Fat's Replacement Killers. When Ong said he stopped pursuing acting because he didn't think he could ever have a career as great as Arnold Schwarzenegger is in my opinion dumb similar to someone saying that if he can't have the career of Tom Brady in football then there is no point to play football. I definitely felt that it's a loss of the international cinema within the action genre when Ong tapped out & decided to manage a hotel in Asia as a permanent career.

      I don't as a fighter because he never fought anyone. I saw him spar a shitty built smaller haymaker throwing homeless looking guy that was wacking him. It looked like atoycghman contest. and that Stronghold guy was not impressed with his punches said he didn't come close to hurting him. Judges were bored of his slow pacing and showboating with 1 minute rounds. He was afraid to engage. He's more fearful than you think.. His actions or non actions in that first round showed his fear.

    Agreed on the importance of self belief. That reminds of the tall, yoked Chinese guy that fought Jason Scott Lee in Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story in that ice factory scene. Ong Soo Han I believe is his name & he did a few b movies with Bolo Yeung in Tiger Claws & a movie with Roddy Piper named Last to Surrender. That guy had height over 6 feet, muscular size, & martial arts skills & even won a body building title in Asia & read an article that he stopped pursuing acting just because he didn't think he could ever have a career as great as Arnold Schwarzenegger & I thought that was a dumb reason to stop pursuing acting & from what I last read is now just managing some hotel in Asia. Always felt that guy was a yoked up Yun Fat with martial arts skills, but simply fell short of expectations due to in my opinion his lack of self belief in himself. In my opinion, the saddest part is seeing true potential go to waste.

    I watched the "Last Kumite" and found it enjoyable. The acting was decent for a martial arts film and David was in it more than a few times and had a good amount of lines and I thought looked good on screen and delievered the lines well for his first movie gig. As for everything else, I would have liked to see Rothrock fight more. She seemed to be on it one day and that was it. The bad guy seemed to over act. It was too much. Mathias Hues was a good actor and was the lead , but didn't fight at all. The plot wasn't all that believable and the reactions to family members being kidnapped wasn't believable, but the fights were cool to watch. David knows how to react and sell punches for the camera as well. He looks good on camera. The way it was edited was great all the fight scenes were filmed well. David definitely has a future in films in my opinion. This was a good (as he would put it) "stepping stone"

    So, if you’re stepping into the ring with Mosley in a celebrity match, don’t fool yourself. It’s not a true test of skill like a sanctioned fight would be. You’re not facing him in the brutal, unforgiving world of professional boxing, but in a controlled, regulated environment that’s all about entertainment. Celebrity boxing can’t go beyond sparring because they simply aren't licensed to handle real, full-contact fights. It's showbiz, not sports. Know the difference.

    • @antimediaman9354
      @antimediaman9354 23 дня назад +1

      @@VikingSamurai Well, if Damon is planning to have professional-level bouts in the XRumble series with no headgear, he'll need to address several regulatory issues. Under Celebrity Boxing’s current licensing, these events are classified as 'exhibition matches' and are not permitted to exceed sparring standards. They act like it's more than that but in reality and legally it isn't.
      To conduct professional-level fights, Damon must seek 'sanctioning' from a recognized 'athletic commission.' This involves acquiring an official 'promoter’s license,' which he does not have. I checked. It ensures 'regulatory compliance,' and meeting 'medical and safety standards' typically enforced in professional boxing.
      Without obtaining these credentials and complying with 'governing body regulations,' any bout labeled as professional would be unauthorized.

    • @robcampbell5840
      @robcampbell5840 23 дня назад +1

      @@antimediaman9354 Mosley has already referred to it as an "exhibition fight." Which makes perfect sense. No disrespect to Mosley, but he's retired, middle-aged, slowed down, not hungry. I doubt he's looking to have a knock-down, drag-out fight to the finish at this stage in his life, and I don't blame him. But an exhibition bout against a guy with pretty much zero boxing experience? Sure, why not? Obviously no one is really gonna get hurt in this fight, so it's just a bit of fun for Mosley.
      Unless this whole thing is a bait and switch, and Mosley is not the real opponent. Either way, I'm skeptical of anything hosted by Celebrity Boxing. Like I said elsewhere, Jimmy Justice would be a much more dangerous fight. Not because Jimmy is a world beater, but because it would actually be a real fight and not a Celebrity Boxing exhibition. Nam Phan would also be a real fight. Mike Seal would also be a real fight. But I think Viking is content to just talk about fighting those guys. I don't think he's looking to have a real fight. We're talking about celebrity boxing here, which is practically just glorified sparring. It's all about the show, not the knockout. You're going to be bound by lighter rules-headgear, bigger gloves, shorter rounds. This isn't the brutal, no-holds-barred world of pro boxing. Viking, I don't know where to post this but last night I finally got to see the long awaited and anticipated "The Last Kumite". I don't know what to say. It is so freaking bad. It's terrible. My goodness, I wasn't expecting much as I always said but it's so bad. The lead actor was terrible and a terrible choice, the fight choreography was awful (who on earth was responsible for that) they used wires, the slow motion, the punches. It was dreadful. Even the old actors were bad (except a little glimpses of Kurt). What on earth that Draco was supposed to be is beyond me and why did they basically copy Rocky 4 with the name Drago. Honestly it was appalling. One of the worst action martial arts films I have ever seen. It's so bad it's laughable. I had to fast forward some parts. The training montage was so lame, the music standard was a far cry from what Paul produced years ago. The old saying is right "You can't go back". There are reasons these guys don't do it anymore. I said from the very start the choice of lead actor was a big mistake and I was right. The whole Dracko character was way off , the acting was cringe and the fighting just dreadful. I don't ever want to hear about these choreographers who's worked with Stallone or other stars, it was a shambles. I suggest they check out the final fight scene in Death Wish 2 at the hospital to see an amazing realistic fight scene that looked great. Sakura Killers had 10 million times better Choreography. What a mess. At least Sean and all the crew had a go, they fulfilled a goal but it was terrible and sometimes some things should just be left in the past. If I was forced to give it a mark out of ten it would be 2. The best actor in the film by far who I can see has a good career was the girl who played the daughter. That's it. The rest need to let it go and leave the past in the past. They are well past it and it just shows back then, tose actors were reliant on a team of people. Mattiaus Hues was so bad in it, I was laughing. That training montage has to go down as one of the worst I have ever seen. It was hilariously bad. Terrible choice. Who signed that choreography off and did they never watch the 80's action films?? It was nothing like it. Anyway, at least they all fulfilled a goal and made a movie. Will I ever watch it again. Whoever was responsible for that choreography should have been sacked and the person who hired him/her simply didn't "get it". Did they really watch the action films of the 80's. My goodness compare this to Charles Bronson's fight scene in the hospital and it shows how lack of care and thought was involved and almost copying Drago name from Rocky 4, come on, where is the imagination. Bro, it was freakin terrible. I told you all from the very start the leading actor was an incredibly poor choice. They were all bad. They need to keep it in the past now. As I say, the young girl was good. She has a future, the rest, what a load of nonsense. All these "fancy names" they were going on about who were involved because thy had worked with Stallone or whatever, blah, blah, blah. It was an embarrassment. Total cringeworthy and copying the punching style synonymous with most action flops of today was just pointless. They could have thought it out much better, got better people involved, better yet, keep the memories in the past. Paul Hertzog and Stan are now past it. It was terrible. 2 star and thats been generous. All we kept hearing over the past months was how Jason Brant was involved. For what? The whole thing was shocking, rushed and ill thought out. An insult to that genre of films. Epic Flop. Those actors involved should not quit their day job. It takes an incredibly special person and team to create a worthy movie. My goodness I am shocked how poor the fighting was and that Dracko my goodness what an embarrassment. I've asked for a refund. lol. Waste of time and money except to feed the ego of a few people. How anyone can be proud of that is just in complete denial. Rubbish.
