    📝 Instructions:
    Step 1:
    Make Cuban-Style Lechón (pork) using our family recipe

    Step 2:
    Chop a white onion into thin rings or half rings. Sauté them in oil over medium-heat until soft. Ideally you want some of the rings to be a little crispy!
    Step 3:
    While your onions are sautéing, finely shred the pork so it will be easier to bite into once it’s in the sandwich!
    Step 4:
    Cut your Cuban bread loaf in half.
    Step 5:
    Generously butter both halves of the bread.
    Step 6:
    Add your finely shredded pork to the bread. Make sure you put a good amount of meat on the bread and leave no gaps.
    Step 7:
    Top the meat with sauteed onions and top the sandwich off with the other half of the bread.
    Step 8:
    Cut the sandwich into individual sized portions.
    Step 9:
    Put a decent helping of butter in a pan on medium heat. Toast the sandwich until slightly golden-brown on both sides.
    Step 10:
    Serve and enjoy!

    Hola,
    My husband is Cuban and came to the US when he was 7. ( I'M Puerto Rican...foods are very similar) He said your grandma is spot on with this recipe. We just made a lechon yesterday and had leftovers. Made your sandwich for lunch today.
