A couple days before my period I get almost anxious waiting for it to start, and bloating + sluggishness are at their peak. Once I bleed it’s almost cathartic release haha - I’m still slow, but so happy , and by day 4 of 5 I can comfortably get back in the gym and enjoy slower lifting and exercise, then it’s just an upward current of energy, I love it. Keeping caffeine low throughout the cycle makes a difference!!!
My ovulation phase can make me feel more anxious and overwhelmed. I kind of like the slower cycles like follicular and luteal cause I'm more in control. I also have insomnia around ovulation too. I sleep alot coming up to my period but I love feeling calmer 😌
Another great video👍🏼 I really need to start logging my cycles. I definitely have some days when I’m so exhausted it’s hard to accomplish anything and other days when I can go like a whirlwind. Just never have any idea when or what my energy level will be like.
My energy levels seem to follow that Progesterone curve. I get a lot done right before my period and have very high energy, and then as soon as my period hits I crash. After my period, my energy slowly climbs back up and the cycle continues.
Clue app is a free app that is pretty good and its a great place to start. I like using the Read Your Body app because its super customizable but it does cost money to use (its super affordable though and I think it has a free trial). Its great if you track temperature/cervical mucus changes.
Make sure you get a complete blood count. Complete thyroid panel TSH, T4, T3, T3 reverse, anemia/ferritin levels, vitamin D3, vitamin B12 , magnesium, zinc, and your hormones
it really depends on how you experience your cycle and how sensitive you are to hormone fluctuations! Some people don't notice the decline in estrogen and rise of progesterone after ovulation as much as others so they feel pretty good after ovulation whereas others may feel this dip more intensely! Does that answer your question?
Before my period, I sleep a lot. As soon as I’m off, I get more and more energy. And the closer I get, I get more fatigued.
I feel that! Thank you for sharing your experience with me ❤️

Can low iron levels effect your hormones? That fatigue hits me like a wall half way through the day.

Yes it can! Definitely a good idea to get your levels tested and try to bring them up if you can - it can make a big difference in how you feel.
