Because the exclusivity makes it even better, but the car can still be an M3 (well M4), which means a lot to the brand.
They all do it. It used to be only for top brands like Ferrari but now Porsche, Mclaren, Peugeot, etc are all doing special editions of special editions. And they do it to hike the price. A few 911 R which they sold to anybody who wanted to make a profit, just o see the prices go up. So Porsche can keep hiking their regular 911 prices.
This is the only M4 GTS review that anyone should watch on RUclips. The rest of the reviewers, just don’t understand it.
i have watched this video a few months ago and the next day I saw this car on my way to school. I dint expect that. The car looks even better in real live, dream car.
Wow that exhaust makes it sound soooo much better. The standard noise is just muffled and kind of bleh :/

Think he means reducing the weight of the M4 is good. But adding power as well, is better.

You know, I just recently read an article in a German Car Magazine which was comparing the M4 GTS to the GT3 RS. And, you know, the GT3 RS was still 2.5 seconds faster around a circuit. And cheaper.

The car is so awesome! I remember a video of mine with 2 times 20 of these revving at the same time that was carnage!
And the exhaust is so different you can't even hear the whole difference in the video, you must experience it in real life.

Exactly! The ///M4 GTS is already supercar kind of quick and it might get Porsche GT3 into trouble. In fact, it does. The ///M4 GTS actually hanging and tied with Porsche 991 911 GT3 on every tracks where they both lapped. Good news is, Yes, BMW is going to build a supercar based on ///M6!

there is company in australia called armatrix by valvetronic that makes an exhaust system that will make any bimmer sounds like that and if you put the system on a gtr good lord...pure eargasmic

As an M4 owner, I don't like this car, the reason I don't buy an M6 is because I don't like to pay for the extra weight, the standard M4 is elegant and practical, it is the best in its kind. But with this price tag, this track toy car is not fastest in its class and not elegant, and the most important is I have to pay for the extra because without back seat, it seems like the car doesn't need this much of space in the back and in the trunk, I believe they should put those technology in M2 and make an M2 GTS, and if I have the money to buy an M4 GTS, I would probably buy a Porsche 911 which is smaller and there is less unnecessary volume in the back, or an M4 and rest of money go to investment and years later I could get a Ferrari or McLean.
This is basically the BMW m4 MotoGP pace car so if we have the BMW M2 MotoGP pace car does that mean we are going to get a BMW m2 gts ???
hopefully not I've ordered a standard one and want it to hold it's money a bit haha. May have to ask them to put my name on a list of some sort haha
+Chris Dorgan congrats but who knows I'm just saying this m4 is the pace MotoGP car same technology and same crazy aerodynamic and the m2 took over its job this year so it's a possibility

The lucky few who are fortunate enough to purchase this car will no doubt enjoy every minute of ownership. That is until that day when an even happier owner of a 911 Turbo S passes them on the track like they are standing still with his audio system and air conditioning blasting, then leaves the track and goes to pick up his girl in the same car so the two of them can go on a 200 mile journey to their weekend getaway. LOL

Very special car, the first few meters a M4 GTS you will feel its special and give racecar feel, way more than many other cars that cost more and lap slower. Its very, very well priced. Its accually cheep. It will take a while but most will understand it was cheep and not at all expencive.

I want to see how this car does against the competition, I want to see some numbers. I think Motortrend has spoiled me. Anyways I think they are doing best drivers cars and the M4 is going to be tested along some great competition like the GT350R and the Camaro 1le. It's going to be interesting to see how much faster both the 1le and the GTS are against each other since we now know that the M4 barely edges the 2016 Camaro SS.
2:18 I completely disagree. I think that weight is much more important than power. Removing weight makes you faster everywhere. Adding power only makes you faster in places that you can use it (such as straights).
Giving that car a titanium exhaust made the already terrible sound even worse

markup included a GT3rs is $250k whereas an M4 GTS is $175k so value per dollar the M4 gts stands a chance, overall GT3rs all day
gt3rs was nearly as quick as a 675lt on a track and faster than the aventador sv,the bmw will be as fast as a 991 gt3 if it's lucky.
the M4 gts is only .4 seconds slower than a 991 gt3 around hockenheim. (source: Sport Auto Track battle) and as for the AMG GTs it's 7 seconds faster than that around the ring. I would still rather have a 991 GT3, and I agree that the RS is in another league from the M4 gts
Kaisuke971 amg gts is an extremely fast car no matter how many retarded abreviations you use to describe it.It has 'only' 503hp and it's a heavy gt car,yet it punches above its weight, it should be in the same region as v f type's and v12 vantage's etc but is closer to the performance of the gt3 and m4 gts than it is to its rival gt cars.

What a car !! probably as exciting as a Porsche GT3 (991), but not as precise as a GT3 RS. Definitely way better than a merc C63 (still waiting black series though)
10k for lightweight alloy wheels when a you can now get a Ford with carbon wheels included stock. classic german options list
the 10k wheels are the carbon ones (not shown in video)
Have to remember that those carbon wheels are on the gt350r not the standard gt350 it's about a 10k-15k upgrade package witch includes the carbon wheels and a few aero pieces so it's basically the same thing
Well this, the One:1, Regera, GT350R and Ford GT are the only production cars with carbon fiber wheels, and there's a reason for that.

Water injection isn't complicated at all, and its been around since the early 1960s. Probably just needed this long to be fine tuned for a road car.
