I think in the next two to three years, the Class 90 Intercity sets will be replaced gradually by modern twelve car units. The interior and seating layouts are okay.
@@GA170208 That's all but confirmed that isn't going to happen, shame really, given that the 225s may end up out of work, but given ScotRail's experience with HSTs, I don't blame them. Still, at least for now we get Mk3 DVT sets which are in my opinion the best looking train out there.
An amazing compilation, sure does bring back many memories
my favourite train along with class 66 seen loads where I am
The Class 90's are FAR Better Than The God AWFUL FLIRTs.
Excellent video.
A large majority of these are at Stow and Needham Market
at 3:06 it looks like a bird flew into the train but thinking about it I think it's a bag
Nice Video Mate Gerat complation:)
Cheers mate! :)
Real trains , not the plastic rubbish of today
They had a much more unique look to them and they were designed well
When are they replacing them?
I think this year or the year after. However it will be a gradual process so it may happen over the coarse of 2016 and 2017.
+Train & Lorry Hub The VTEC 225 sets might be cascaded down to the GEML after the arrival of the class 800's/801's in 2018.

I think at some point during 2019, possibly into 2020 by newer ones.
