Aussie Truck Spotting Episode 385: Port Augusta West, South Australia 5700

Shot at the corner of the Stuart Highway and Yorkeys Crossing, the location of the IOR fuel station and trailer drop yard, this episode features multiple full-length triple and BAB quad road trains, short triple, B-Triple and A-Double road trains, as well as a few B-Doubles and single trailer setups, and a couple of oversize loads on Yorkeys Crossing.
In addition to the Kenworth IOR fuel tanker road trains, there are also Mack, Western Star, Mercedes-Benz, Volvo, and Scania prime movers heading the road train combinations, hauling a diverse range of cargo and trailers including livestock, dry bulk tankers, containers, gas and sulphuric acid tankers, flat decks, tautliners, drop decks, car carriers, and bulk haulage and side tippers.

I love all the close up shots of the triples turning into yorkeys crossing as well as all of the Kalari K200s and T610 SAR Road Trains flying past👍. Also were you able to see any ABB-Quad Livestock road trains near the stuart highway? And what day was all of this recorded, so that I know for when I go to Pt Augusta Next!

Thanks, yeah I got a bit dusty and wet getting in there but the resulting shots were well worth it! I’m not sure about ABB quads, most livestock setups seemed to be either B-Triples, full triples, or BAB quads. This episode was shot between 6:38am and 1:10pm on Saturday 23rd.
