I burst out laughing every time I watch the Making of Fckboi. If only for the Reason that everyone is singing Backstreet Boys between Takes. 🤣 I first became aware of your Band through Electric Callboy. And the Kind of Music i've heard from you is just awesome. Especially Atonement and Chemicals are just Bangers at least in my Opinion. 😊 I wish you a lot of Fun on your US Tour with the Guys. 😉

According to my teenage daughter I'm too old to sing along to this song in the car. Awsome song and such a good vibe.

I don't know what it is, but metal musicians doing silly stuff and still putting a lot of technical skill into it is always great entertainment.

So i had the opportunity to be one of the 150 people in the Background. It was so much fun and i met some really cool people. Also after the Video shoot i had the song stuck in my head till the releaseday. :D i'm verry happy to get to knew your band cause your music ist pretty nice. I think what most of the people mean by "why didn't Kevin scream?" ist mend to be a whole Vers. At first i was a bit sad after I found out that Janel screams too so it could be a nice part together but it would not fit good in the song. So i'm glad there is no big shoutpart. But maybe it is somthing for the Future. ;)

I didn't know your band before Fckboi and I had no idea what was coming(like with every new song Electric Callboy releases), but this song is just awesome. Keep up the good work :)
You ladies were awesome in the video. I’ve enjoyed some of your heavier stuff, but this video made me do a double take when Kia started singing; and, since you have watched reaction videos, you will understand what I’m about to say. I heard the influence from Avril Lavigne in her voice and it immediately made me smile ear to ear as my eyes opened wide. It is the same feeling many get when they hear Niklas from Orbit Culture sing for the first time and they start looking around asking “Where’s James Hetfield?” Getting influence from and giving respect to the giants who have come before while doing your own thing can be such a beautiful thing, and you did it perfectly. I like your heavy stuff but, as you perfectly out it, you channeling your inner Avril made my day. Thank you for embracing the silliness, not taking yourselves to seriously, and bringing back some good memories. The world of metal needs more women like you, so stay heavy. 🤘🏻

10:00 - I honestly have never understood what The Merovingian was going about, talking and cursing in French, but I get the sense that listening to Kira's phenomenal vocals (the extra emphasis on each Fuck of Fuck Boi, the changes in pitch and tempo... it's like the woman is a siren goddess.) Is something close to what he had in mind.
Considering that they have not done more than one collab with any artist yet, i don't have a lot of hope for another song. While i love this one, the potential with these two bands for some heavy song is so great, it would be awesome to get some more songs. At least join them on stage during the tour for some of the heavier songs and let us see the live video afterwards.

As I have already written in some comment sections, this was an incredibly good collaboration. I hope to see you in Germany in the future and I hope that you will have a lot of fun together on the US tour and that your friendship will grow and you will work together even more in future projects. I always like it when bands get along and do projects together. As you can see, nobody expected this song. :) The whole setup of the music video to the outfits is really great and you guys just look great. Keep up the good work and stay as likeable and down to earth as we have seen you.

FCKBOI was a nice change of pace following Electric Callboy. The song brought me back to the mid-late 90's and early 2000's real hard and it looks like you all had perfect chemistry doing this collab, you can see and hear it in the video and song.

I’ve watched this vid I don’t know how many times but caught it here for the first time- The brothers DID edit you guys together! Extremely well, too!
There’s the transition of Samantha @ 11:06 rolling a fill in the chorus, slam cut to David continuing … BUT ITS ALL LINED UP. Down to head height, body/kit position and framing
It’s only really used in that final face-to-face finale… and I had to rewind a few times to see how purposeful it was (conclusion- 100% conceived and achieved ) and a few more times out of respect to that tiny yet impactful editing decision.
Then literally 20sec later you guys are talking about trying to figure that out. Pascal gotchu, bro xD

I am from the land of Maple Syrup and Avril Lavigne... and we have this lovely Canadian law that says roughly 1/3rd of all music played on the radio needs to be of Canadian origin (in some way) so guess who grew up listening to Avril Lavigne on repeat on pretty much any radio station that isn't country??? ME. all. the. damn. time.... *cries* I was a CHILD. Oh well, at least we got Alexisonfire out of the deal. Also, sorry for the scene they created.

Thank you for sharing with us! One question, though: In the recording (and well, also in live performance later on), how did you do the both bands playing / overlay? Do really both bands play syncronized? That must be a tough one, isn't it?
During a music video shoot, they are hearing the same audio as you, blasted over PA speakers, louder than the drums. The guitar amps etc. are off. Everyone is basically "lip/hand-syncing" and performing to playback - you don't hear any audio from the shoot.
I don't know the specifics of this particular production, but usually, in a modern studio recording, tracks are done one instrument after another, starting with drums playing to a click track and probably demo recordings. Judging from the EC-typical sound, I assume all instruments were recorded by EC, and CD added their vocals later, probably even in a different studio. Drums and bass only make sense to record once, anyway. (Motown recordings sometimes had two drummers, but that's very niche.) Could be wrong, but that would be the obvious way to do it.
(And JTBC: Both bands are great musicians, and they could probably pull off playing together - it just wasn't needed.)
I kinda miss the kind of sound of the early 2000. Need more new stuff like that. Not all the way but here and there.

I know you and EC both were in a 2000s vibe
but for me, being an oldie,
the vibe was of an earlier time
seeing bands like
Green Day in a pub in Southampton
with 100 others in the early 1990s.
That pop-punk sound though far higher quality

I've seen some Electric Callboy vlogs. I'm not sure if it just for a vlog, but they seems to be VERY fun guys and just fooling around. And tour manager at states said they are persons who are very humble and carry their own bags and stuff. They don't want to these selfish rockstars
I wonder how this song will work out on stage, especially for Sam and David, will they share one kit, or make a roll in one, or have the second one set up all the time? I hope there will be some videos on stage and backstage. Also i want to see how a metal-core crowd works with a pop punk song.
In Montreal, our drummer swapped with their drummer, and Kia came out on stage with them. We didnt have enough wireless units to do full band

I kind of wanted to know how the recording of the song went down, were you guys in the studio together at any time, great song and video, you have a new fan here.
We recorded separately in the states and they recorded separately in Germany. We both used the same Steven Slate microphone, by pure coincidence. It was mixed and mastered by their guitarist Daniel Haniß.

My question is what was the songwriting process like? Were both bands fully involved w/ the writing & recording sessions?
They had the song fully demoed out instrumentally and we co-wrote the vocals back and forth online!

That's a lot of third wheeling...
All of the US dates - it’s just one tour lol
Here's what Conquer Divide don't seem to realise...alot of people are being newly exposed to them through that dope feature. People are loving the band because of the feature, now they're rushing to react to the band itself and explore its music. Problem is, majority of those people were impressed by the POP-PUNK type of sound Conquer Divide was featured on, coz it obviously brought them back to Blink182, Avril Lavigne and Paramore type of feel... only to hear a whole different sound from the band. Now this ain't nothing bad by the way, but at this point, if I were part of the band I'd honestly recommend them to tap-in on the POP-PUNK genre. Not change their style but two or three tracks to be POP-PUNK every once in a while.
Y'all honestly should consider this... y'all sound even more better, as you always are, but now with a touch of POP-PUNK/EMO/Screamo. And if you decide not to, I still love your sound guys...been a fan literally for years!!!💪🎵🎸
Most people that listen to electric callboy are metalcore fans, and have been pleasantly surprised to find out that we are also metalcore, :)
@@conquerdividemusic you guys haven't been paying close attention to the reactions of their fans regarding this song feature. Listen to what their fans are saying about the band doing something different and trying out POP-PUNK for a change. Be attentive to the reactions and you'll hear what I'm talking about for real.
Alot of their fans are saying the same thing that this time around Callboy tried a different style(POP-PUNK) and it's a fresh sound to what they're used to.
We’ve been very attentive :) the other half of the fans are pissed off that we did a pop punk song lol. We’re a metalcore + hard rock band at heart though. Can’t please everyone :)
