Hey Tank! This is/was your merch driver Tony. Just wanted to thank you for an amazing tour and the memories along the way! It's easy to see why the band loved you so much. Hope to see you on upcoming tours!!!
Can only speak about the past, but I first met them at a small festival a few years ago. We got to talk a bit and drank a few beers together, they are really nice and extremely fun to be around
Seconded. I've been going to their concerts since 2012, so obviously I've been to quite a lot (and very small ones in the beginning too on top of it). After a small gig in Düsseldorf or Dortmund(?), we ran into Kevin and had a very nice chat. He was so pleasantly talkative, kind, funny and genuine that time flew and after half an hour, we had to go "Sorry, we need to go home now ..." 😂 He remembered me though and when we would meet him after gigs, he would still know my name every single time. What you guys see of them in these vlogs? 100000% real. He was EXACTLY like that back then already. I have nothing but respect and love for these guys.
I can only agree with you. I was their double driver for the Hypa Hypa Tour in 2022, even took over the last two days as Solo-Driver. The Band and Crew were just normal human beings. Nerding out Backstage about Cardgames, jamming to music while driving and having a smoke, it was a blast. Everyone knew their shit, everyone DID their shit and it was just very well rounded all around. I have the Lanyard of the Tour proudly hanging on my PC-Desk to this day. And I was on Tour with Bands like Destruction, Exodus and Overkill. NOTHING beats Electric Callboy when it comes to human decency and absolute Respect. Nothing but Love and Positivity when it comes to my memories of it.
Electric Callboy was the most fun I’ve had at a concert ever! They were always showing appreciation and love to the fans throughout the show. It was so cute when they’d bring people’s kids on stage for the group photo. It’s awesome how respectful they are of their whole crew. The complete opposite of the douchey rockstar persona. So happy you had a great experience!
This tour was absolutely insane. It was great to finally meet you and some of the band! Glad to provide the video for you! It was an absolute blast seeing you on stage with these guys!! ❤
Can I just say, that while I love the music of EC, what I appreciate the fuck out of all this is grown men in this genre of music and the industry being comfortable and confident in speaking about their feelings. Like fuck. it's a breath of fresh air.
Thihi... Tank loving that Nico is so "direct", while knowing that being direct is just a normal german thing is so funny. Tank, I am sure you would fit right in here in germany! 😉
These guys are from my town, a former mining community. Down in the mine, you used to value two things in a man: He had to work as hard as yourself so your team could meet its production target, and he had to have half an eye on his collegues always. One day your life would depend upon one of your collegues having your back. There was very little time for small talk. In short, miners grew up to be hard working and very direct teamplayers. The mines are closed now and the old miners slowly die out, but that mindset is still part of our culture to an extent.
I can’t believe that this kind of behavior isn’t standard. I would never expect somebody who was my tour manager to ever do anything meaningless like carry my bags or clean up messes and shit like that it’s really nice to hear that there are other artists out there like me who believe in, including the crew, and treating them like family as opposed to treating them like they’re disposable. ❤
It's SO NICE and refreshing to hear that a band can be this nice while on tour 😊❤❤ And Electric Callboy is literally a huge band right now. It's really nice that none of that success has gone to their heads.
I think the fact they started to be internationally successful in their 30s instead of their 20s might play a part in that, it's probably easier to stay down to earth with that extra level of maturity! But also they seem like genuinely real good people!
@@misscrackwood Well... not necessarily. Even in their mid 20's most of german youth won't excessively exeggerate themselves, because that is not meant to be in our educational approach. Our children are trained constantly to humble themselves knowing being a dick will get you nowhere in Germany. That is, why we don't have any Zuckerberg's, Musk's or even Trump's over here.
In one of the interviews Kevin (I think it was him) said that they have a pledge - if any of the guys starts acting like a star the rest is expected to beat him back into humility xD

I'm so happy for you to have become part of this beautiful family. Everybody should have friends like this, and the world would be in a much better place. ❤😊
Nico is very straight forward. He told one fan that was in the front at the show in Santa Ana not to flip him off because that is not the way to tell him you love him. He said maybe a kiss would, but not the middle finger. LOL!!
The whole crew may not go on the stage and perform but every member of the crew is important for making sure the tour goes smooth. There's no reason to treat them like crap.
I flew out to Minneapolis to see this show. It was one of the most fun concerts I've ever been to in my life. EC is a class act from everything I've heard even before this video. I mean just the fact they changed their name when nobody asked them to because they didn't want to alienate anybody. Absolute legends! Really hope I get to see them soon!
Kevin & Nico are my favourite bromance in Metal. Whole band is super wholesome. I sadly missed out on seeing them here in Australia coz they sold out so quick!
Man that actually made me tear up a little and I wasn't even part of the tour. Awesome that you had such a great time! If you ever move to Germany you will surely fit just right in!
I met them in person back in the day when they had released their first EP. Self-published. They sold their own merch. This was over a decade ago. Kevin and I did goofy stuff up until 5 AM until the club closed the doors. It is so great to see that you had this experience!
As a teacher who has taught in both Canada and the US, I can tell you the education system in Germany is absolutely first-rate with a stellar international reputation.
As a german I am happy that you see it that way. But I still have to ask why you think that. In Pisa studies we are constantly on a bad place etc. This is not an attack i am just curious:)
We dislike it and it's honestly sad, that we are praised so often for it. Teachers and money are the key parts missing nearly everywhere in our schools and that a building isn't up to some regulation isn't too uncommon, too. Our system needs an overhaul and good staff, which isn't chronicle overworked and on the edge to burnout.
@@raven2k714 Frankly, those studies are kind of worthless. But the system could still be better. *All* countries are investing far to little into education.
I always struggle to separate the artist from the art, but it works both ways... knowing the artist(s) are absolute legends opens my brain and ears to stuff I wouldn't normally appreciate or enjoy.
One of the things that initially drew me to this band was their huge air of positivity and joy in what they do. You don't see that enough in metal. It's great to hear that they walk their talk and are really sweet guys! So happy for you man, and thanks again for introducing me (and so many of us) to them in the first place! Also, holy shit dude, you've got a nice bark! (Harsh vox)
Wow, Tank, your german part is awesome!🤩 The prononciation is really, really good! And the verses in CastropxSpandau aren't easy, because they're quite fast. Much love from Germany! ❤🤗
17 minutes of joy and I can't stop smiling. It's like having a first date, you write for months, than meet for the first time and then you are over the moon, that the person is really is as nice as you thought. And then it's pure love.❤
You have not found good employers for whom you enjoy doing your job, but real friends. That's rare, but it makes me incredibly happy to hear and see that something like that still exists. You deserve it! 🤗
Getting to see EC was one of the few bright spots of blue ridge for me. so glad to hear that on top of being amazing performers they are also great people.
1,000% agree!! BRRF Friday had 2 bands on my "must see" list...Electric Callboy and Lorna Shore. Neither disappointed! There with my daughter and bumped into an old friend waiting for EC to go on. He'd not heard them and I was like "you're gonna love this!" and he did. @tankthetech I'm pretty sure I caught a glimpse of you during setup & if so, it was clear you were in the zone and not too happy at that moment. Watched your video about the debacle from your perspective and totally understood. Wish I'd been able to meet you but know better than to try when someone's eyeball deep in work mode. Maybe next year at a show. Hope that sh!t experience didn't leave a bad taste for Virginia and it's people because it is not representative of either. ❤
There is so much awesome about these guys. I'm 40 now, and this is actually pretty much the only metal band, that both me and my kids (17 and 16) really enjoy. We saw them live in Hamburg earlier this year, and it was a total blast, and maybe the best family trip ever 😅 So awesome to hear, that EC actually are as nice as they seem to be ❤
honestly, I have NEVER heard anyone say a single bad word of that band. I saw them live at Copenhell, and they seemed like such a chill and awesome band.
I went to the show in Philly and that was literally one of the best shows ive ever been to. Electric Callboy are just one of those humble and amazing nice bands that I love. I will forever be a fan after what I saw/experienced after that show. They really are the nicest guys
All I can say is you looked like you were having such a blast being on stage with them and it couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. I'm so glad you have all the good memories to wash out the stank of Blue Ridge promoters from your brain. And even I want to say thank you to Electric Callboy for taking care of Tank and showing him what metal in Europe is all about.
I am so incredibly proud and happy for you and what you have become to the modern online metal community ❤️ thanks Tank and EC for all the joy you bring , love from Denmark 🇩🇰
@@TankTheTech I generally just travel for techno, so it was my first mosh experience as well. I then shortly after went to Jinjer when they were in my vicinity, so thanks again 🥰
It’s so refreshing to hear that a band that is growing that quickly, is still humble and respectful to their crew, especially one they have just met for that tour. So glad you got to do this with them, you deserve it dude. Keep up the awesome content, and keep being an awesome roadie ❤️
Oh Tank, this is soooooo chuffing wholesome. I did a cry for ya! Honestly it's just so beautiful. Humans being good humans, showing mutual respect as standard. As the world should be. Gives me faith in humanity again. ❤️
I'm so glad to keep hearing good things about this band. With all the bands and musicians I used to love who leave a bad taste now that kinda ruins my enjoyment of them, I am so happy these guys seem to be as nice as I think they are. I so hope it stays that way.
I'm really not surprised that they're so nice. Just watching the videos of them reacting to reaction videos of their new songs, I always noticed that they always had something nice to say about the reactor and so much appreciation that people were reacting to their music.
Well I think one reason for them being such cool guys is that they've not forgotten where they came from. I had my rehearsal space next to theirs (they've moved a few weeks ago) and I've met some of them multiple times and they're really nice guys. They knew that all of us small bands know who they are but we didn't treat them differently and so they didn't aswell. Nothing ever like "oh common, get on our lvl" or smething, just some bros who love the same music and the same beer that happened to all of a sudden be popular 😄
It's so heartwarming to hear you all speak on how awesome and special this tour has been because it really felt like that for me and my bff as well. I said it a few times already but it's such a great feeling to know the band I fell in love with are genuinely great people. For the short time we spent with them and you, it really felt like we were just a bunch of friends talking about nothing and everything. I'm so happy this tour turned out to be such a meaningful moment in your career and in your personal life, and I can't wait to see you all again, hopefully soon! Also shoutout to the girls from Conquer Divide who are absolutely badass ❤
Very Glad to hear the guys are as much of a pleasure to work with as is it is listening to their Music. Some bands make good Music and then are kinda assholish backstage (from my Experience as Venue/Stage security). Cant wait to be security for them during some of their upcoming gigs in germany next yeah hehe
Electric Callboy helped me trun my messy life around. They are in my ears be in travling to work or being at the gym. Seeing them in Sweden really left a huge impression on me, the love and crowd was really something speciall compared other bands I have seen. And this was even tho they where one man short. Love the band and love your channel. Keep up the great contet Tank!
Man we try and take care of our crew in every kinda way....they are the most important part of what we get to go out and do ..just cant do it with out our crews ..to me they are as much as a part of our band then the band itsself ....much love bro looks like you guys had a great time and thats what its all about...
oh boy, time to get emotional again. loved to hear you talk about the tour and following you via social media, it looked to be an amazing experience both professionally and personally and I'm glad that you came out of it with new friendships ❤ waiting for that trip/move to Germany ;)
Ive worked IT for 7 years for evenko / Montreal and seen around 700 shows and events. But never ever expected to be this impressed by a show or band anymore, Electric Callboy made me love music in a totally different way and god Am I in love with the vibe they create in the last years, I needed that badly. I’ve had so much fun, it made me want to go back to The entertainment scene again just to meet with them and guys like you Tank. I love your video, keep it up, peace!
I was at the Montreal show and Electric Callboy sounded amazing! I had an absolute blast! I typically do not dance, but I did not stop for these guys, it was so much fun! My friends and I hung out back, by the bus after the show in hopes of maybe getting a chance to say hey ....Nico was kind enough to come say Hey, despite being tired. He was very nice about it, seems like a very down to earth guy. I did yell "Tannkkkk" to you when you were headed in the bus at one point but it was clear you were very busy and it was late and dark (sketchy! lol). Glad the tour was a blast, you clearly did a great job for them and hopefully it turns into something bigger for you! 💀🤘
It's really refreshing to hear about a bunch of guys just getting along and being buds, and musicians being decent people and not full of themselves. Happy stuff. 🙂
This honestly makes me so happy to hear, I've become a huge fan of them and I've always had the impression that they're lovely people, and to hear this makes me feel good about supporting them. Also, that's one thing you'll notice in general about Germans, is they're very very real. They're very honest, and when they bring you into their inner circle you're there pretty much for life unless you really fuck it up somehow. That's been my reaction with all of my friends I've met over here and I love it so much. Hopefully I get the chance to see them live some day before too long!
Brother oh brother if your voice was that loud on stage then your german was literally perfect. Electic Callboy really chose the best guy for this job and it was Tank
Was at the Sacramento show. Was the most fun I've had at a show in my 36 years of life. I was worried that they wouldn't give it 100% Boy was I so pleasantly surprised. They just seem like the nicest people. Glad you had an amazing experience!
I am so happy to see you and Electric Callboy together. I am so incredible happy that they honored you like this! It is so freaking metal to see this. That has to be a Core Memory for you. Oh and if it wasn't clear You totaly rocked that segment! God damn I will never forget when I saw your videos the first time about Sabaton wich is one of my favorite bands and then you started these Videos about Electric Callboy and it evolved into such a great Bromance. I love to see this. And for me the most emotional thing in this video is that a Roadie got honored and valued like this! Love you Tank! Love you EC!
What an experience that NY show was man. Has to have been one of the craziest, most fun shows I've ever been to. Our little makeshift group in the front row turned out to be a ton of Tank fans too so we went NUTS when you came on stage, so fucking happy for you dude. I cannot wait for these boys to come do another tour in the states again
Ok who is cutting onions around me right now 👀 It’s so great to get the insight of how a band is behind the scenes when no cameras are rolling. And to hear that they’re genuine nice people who treat their staff fairly and even like family is amazing to hear. It shows that one picked the right band to be a fan of. I wish more artists were like this and it would be just normal and not special. But maybe with the positive feedback out there others get inspired to become better😊 Thanks for sharing your experience!!!
I was lucky enough to catch the Montreal show, truly and genuinely top 3 performances I've ever seen. I have baaaaad ADHD so whenever I'm at shows I'm always either fidgeting with or constantly checking my phone; when EC was on stage I did not do that once, I was that pumped and hooked. Super glad to hear the tour went really well, and thank you for being an integral part of it.
I met the guys back when they were “Eskimo Callboy” with the old second vocalist Sebastian at the Blue Note in Missouri touring in like 2013. They are genuinely the nicest dudes ever, I was super upset when I couldn’t see them on this tour. Such a welcoming and wholesome group of dudes. They deserve every bit of their success, I’m glad you had a great time!

Our System is very good in comparison...but sur it has somme issues. But my fellow german likes to complain and very hard to be satisfied
Are you joking? Because as a German I feel like you are joking
(Harsh vox)
As a german fan of the band i thank you for youre great work and am happy that you and the guys had so much fun and developed a bromance ;D!!!
Hell yes...part-two this. And I wouldn't mind if you part-3 it as well.😂
You have not found good employers for whom you enjoy doing your job, but real friends. That's rare, but it makes me incredibly happy to hear and see that something like that still exists. You deserve it! 🤗
Happy you had this opportunity. Looks like a helluva time.
Vielen dank für deine Unterstützung von EC. Es ist schön zu sehen, wie sehr du diese Bands liebst, so wie wir. ❤
There is so much awesome about these guys. I'm 40 now, and this is actually pretty much the only metal band, that both me and my kids (17 and 16) really enjoy. We saw them live in Hamburg earlier this year, and it was a total blast, and maybe the best family trip ever 😅
So awesome to hear, that EC actually are as nice as they seem to be ❤
honestly, I have NEVER heard anyone say a single bad word of that band.
I was at the show in Portland and it was an absolute blast. Great work to @electricCallboy and @TankTheTech for putting on such an amazing show.
Gods... I got emotional. Its so good to know that band i love so much is also this good in terms of people.
Ok now we really need a EC feat. Tank song with some hard vocals from Tank! Your voice fucking fit so good in the sound of EC!
Liebe geht raus an dich, Tank 🫶 I'm happy for you and the band having such a great time 👍 Greetings from Germany
I went to the show in Denver and it was amazing 🔥 I ended up there all thanks to you! 🙏🏼
Oh man Denver was WILD.
DAMN TANK! You rocked the Stage :D That was some good pronounciation! Your a natural at speaking german.
That hardstyle part makes so much sense, I saw a glimpse of Nico just dancing around backstage this year in Tuska before their set 😂
I'm so glad to keep hearing good things about this band. With all the bands and musicians I used to love who leave a bad taste now that kinda ruins my enjoyment of them, I am so happy these guys seem to be as nice as I think they are. I so hope it stays that way.
You treating them like this ensures they'll come back again, and maybe this time they'll come to GA so I can finally see them. Thank you!
16:00 song name is move 2 da beat by rooler
I'm really not surprised that they're so nice. Just watching the videos of them reacting to reaction videos of their new songs, I always noticed that they always had something nice to say about the reactor and so much appreciation that people were reacting to their music.
so refreshing to know that a really dope band that has such a wholesome energy in their videos are actually like that in real life 😭💖
Well I think one reason for them being such cool guys is that they've not forgotten where they came from.
So glad everyone at the Fillmore in Minneapolis gave you a round of applause and we got a bow from you
Very Glad to hear the guys are as much of a pleasure to work with as is it is listening to their Music. Some bands make good Music and then are kinda assholish backstage (from my Experience as Venue/Stage security). Cant wait to be security for them during some of their upcoming gigs in germany next yeah hehe
im so glad to hear they treated ya well.. makes me like them even more
Callboy Tankinsky - love it 😂
It's so Beautiful to hear so much kind words.
So happy for you Tank! You´re such a nice guy, you deserve this and more!
New nickname for tank is tankinski 🤣🤣
Incredible performance, singing in a foreign language and then getting it spot on like this.
oh boy, time to get emotional again. loved to hear you talk about the tour and following you via social media, it looked to be an amazing experience both professionally and personally and I'm glad that you came out of it with new friendships ❤ waiting for that trip/move to Germany ;)
What an awesome memory! Proud of you for getting up there and working so hard! Amazing!
I was there and just assumed you had this spot in every gig. Makes it even more special to have witnessed it. Congrats, dude!
Heartwarming words from a heartwarming Human! You are insane and it is absolutely deserved.
Hopefully I get the chance to see them live some day before too long!
they genuinely seem like just chill dudes to be around and are in the music industry just to have fun and make people smile
Glad you had an amazing experience!
your eyes in this video are all I need to believe you 100%, you look so happy
I am so happy to see you and Electric Callboy together. I am so incredible happy that they honored you like this!
It is so freaking metal to see this. That has to be a Core Memory for you. Oh and if it wasn't clear You totaly rocked
that segment! God damn I will never forget when I saw your videos the first time about Sabaton wich is one of my
favorite bands and then you started these Videos about Electric Callboy and it evolved into such a great Bromance.
I love to see this.
And for me the most emotional thing in this video is that a Roadie got honored and valued like this!
Love you Tank! Love you EC!
Damn Tank you got some pipes! Amazing performance from you and the band. You deserved every minute of that love!
Ok who is cutting onions around me right now 👀
It’s so great to get the insight of how a band is behind the scenes when no cameras are rolling. And to hear that they’re genuine nice people who treat their staff fairly and even like family is amazing to hear. It shows that one picked the right band to be a fan of.
I wish more artists were like this and it would be just normal and not special. But maybe with the positive feedback out there others get inspired to become better😊
Thanks for sharing your experience!!!
Hearing from you, you definitely get the feel they have nothing but appreciation and gratefulness for being where they are. That's very refreshing.
If you ever move to germany you won't be left alone, the Band and their Fans (including me) will welcome you with all our hearts ❤
You did really good on stage. All I can say is „Ehre Alla!“
