This song makes me wonder what the true soul of Electic Callboy is. This is without a doubt one of the best pop punk songs to come out in the last decade.
Hey all as sb from Germany who realy enjoys metalcore bands - I knew "Eskimo Calboy" for some years. I saw them at several festivals - I always thought... ok...nice band, but get me another drink. Then Covid19 came and Nico arrived.. and MAN DID THEY EXPLODE!!!... a different style - NO!!! I DO NOT LIKE TECHNO - but their vibes where awesome since then.. And now they are gettin to some oldschool Sum41 or Blink 182 stuff? I am blown away.... this is like "Skater Boi" ft. "Fat Lip".. great song, great appreciation of their generations musical background!
Never feel bad for whatever type of music you like.. its your ears.. if they dont like it, they dont have to listen to it.. enjoy what you enjoy!
This collab is so great. Clallboy and Conquer is such a fantastic mix. It just fits. in all the right ways

I love it. One of my favorite songs of the year and I tend to lean towards the heavy. They just took the sound MGK is trying for and showed him how to do it correctly. Enjoyed the reaction!
MGK would never go this heavy though. I really dig the track but it isn't really pop punk. It's more easycore than pop-punk.

Love this and I love Conquer Divide. You should definitely check their stuff out. This is probably their softest sound you'll get from them too. Check out Atonement, Chemicals or their cover of Bad Habits.

As a late post I'd just like to mention that, while I'm this generation culturally speaking my semiotics clearly are a little off and I would have put this as a late 90s vibe, but as everybody mentions this is beginning of the 21st century vibes... I was too lame for this - I was going to Blind Guardian concerts back then🤣.
But both Conquer Divide and of course Electric Callboy do an incredible "period piece" here - EC always do this, or, more precisely "mostly", and they by now excel at filtered, condensed period semiotics, mostly as a parody but in this case it's clearly a loving, let's call it "musical period cosplay" - love it, there's way more thought applied to something like this than it seems on the surface😁!

Bro, just do the pop punk, music is music and pop punk is a fun and "happy" genre (at least in sound). I love this song, to me this gives a Paramore vibe from the Riot! album with modern elements. EC may get a lot of flak because this is not metal, but I hope people will like this song - just to show the band that people will dig their music even if it's not party metalcore.
Pop punk is notoriously NOT happy music lmao. There are definitely a lot of upbeat/happy sounding pop punk songs but the most of the modern pop punk (basically anything post 2010) is sad boy music. Think bands like Movements/ The Story So Far/ Neck Deep/ Hot Mulligan. Artists like MGK aren't accepted at all by the pop punk community and most of the people that listen to him aren't pop punk fans. It's a weird thing where he sort of makes music in the genre but people but also not really.
They will bring more different types of music out during this phase cause they don't want to limit them self to one style of music.
I hear like Sum 41/Fallout Boy meets Paramore. I'm not mad tho!
For me this sounds more like Avril than paramore, but mainly because of her voice tbh

I know as a content creator you have some pressure to please the algorithm, but as someone who watches a lot of reactions the ones i enjoy the most are the ones were the reactor really finds something to enjoy or analyze whenever you like it or not even if the fanbase disagrees with your thoughts.

What you can try to do; is listening the "punk goes pop" songs from their different albums. Basically, it's super famous pop song, by rock bands (like Justin Bieber's "Boyfriend" song, by Issues). You could like it a lot !!

Yo! I dig your reactions, but some advice: use an actual thumbnail from each respective song/video. Using the same one, I find myself going to other reactors that tease what their reaction may be by using unique thumbnails for every video.

Every old video on this channel, that's been changed from that style, to the current style thumbnail, has seen an increase of click rates by over a 25% increase on average over a 90 day sample size. Yea they changed their name a few months ago
"Eskimo" is a derogatory term. A couple of months ago they changed the name to Electric.
US & Canadian Tour Locations threatend to blacklist every band from the Label EC is signed to.
So they went in and checked why and they found out that "Eskimo" is a racial slur and thats why they changed the name. They even made a video on their Channel about the topic!
