I rate Douglas Laing bottlings. Actually did an on-line tasting with the man himself last year. A real character, and interesting to listen to. I’m tending, more and more, to try independent bottlings as I’m finding that they are where you get, as the Americans might say, more bang for your buck, and true integrity bottlings.
Blending whiskies is an art, especially when blending from multiple casks and distilleries. I first tried Timorous Beastie from a 5-pack whisky sample box, and it was one of the stand outs. I then went on to buy a bottle and it is even better than the sample. Nice to know that other variations of Timorous Beastie are good too. Cheers!
I have a 24 year old Sherried Timorous Beastie bottled for the US and the malts in the blend feature Glen Garioch, Dalmore and Glengoyne. it may have changed in newer batches.
I really like the standard Beastie. But can't get any age stated versions or special versions in my area. Haven't found it online from a reputable source in the US yet either but I keep looking.
Cheese Cellars? Interesting.
I remember hearing, "Blessed are the cheese makers."
Douglas Laing delivers real whisky for real whisky drinkers. God bless them

You got me at sour pineapple - love it. I enjoy the Cutty Sark Prohibition ( with generous water) for exactly that sour pineapple note.

I DID get a timely notification that this video dropped. At least some of us are staying current with RUclips (such as it is). Keep on keepin’ on!
Timorous Beastie is a Highland vatting. Their Speyside is the Scallywag. Doubt there's any Spey-o in this Beastie then.

I thought Billy may have seen the little rodent on the bottle and decided to take a closer look.
