Apologies for the unbalanced audio in some spots. I was trying out a new mic/camera setup and didn't realize how much ambient noise was being captured. Thanks for watching!
Didn’t seem to be a problem Eric. Thank you for these videos from the track. Gives us fans that can’t be there a chance to experience it through you and your videos. Always look forward to daily NASCAR news from you. Keep it up! Hope to see you at a race eventually.
There needs to be more Disney parks type vloggers videos like this for all tracks. For fans who want to go to a particular track and have never gone can see and know what to expect. There might be such videos I just never seen them
Mate so stoked I found this! Massive NASCAR fan from Cape Town South Africa! You film exactly what I want to come see! Next year we are coming to do the door bumper clear fan experience and will definitely try to do a second race to come meet you! Thanks for the inside info!,
One of the best visions of expression and very professional. For sure a higher standard than other similar presentations. Better than the professionals being an statement of excellence
Hey I’m in this video! I met you out in front of the Dale Sr Statue! Had to stand on the bench to get to your height lol. Thanks again for taking the time to take a photo!
It was awesome to finally meet you at the Tweet up just before you started filming all of this! We talked about the differences between Daytona Rising and the old grandstands!
Hey Eric ran into you at the fan experience after the Pastrana and Reddick interview. Was my first ever NASCAR race and it was really cool seeing one of the youtubers that got me back following and watching a few years ago. Sorry about stopping you so forcefully 🤣🤣 just didn't want to miss a chance to meet and talk to you for a second after seeing you walk right by lmao
Just seeing your pre race videos every year gets me hyped and excited to go to my first race of the season. Can’t wait to go to COTA for the 3rd year in a row!!!
This was my second Daytona 500. I suggest you go all four race days at least. You don’t have as many lines, you get to do tons more than you’d miss if you just went Sunday. Fanzone, SIK that’s down the road, the Motorsports Museum, Midway, the Bass pro shops across the street, actually in the grandstands, and who doesn’t like a pre race trip to Krispy Kreme. And on top of that races everyday.
I've been involved with racing since I was thirteen years old after my Uncle took me to the Daytona 500. I was living in Florida at the time and began going to the Palm Beach Fairgrounds Speedway every weekend. Over time some of the drivers would let my hang out and I got to learn first hand what was happening behind the scenes. Conditions were really laid back during those times. Must have been due to my enthusiasm. I like many forms of racing, but always seemed to gravitate to stock cars. The actual point to this, is to say that my enthusiasm for the 500 last weekend diminished considerably as the race went on. Is this what we have now? Freight trains with some pit strategy thrown in and a wreck fest finish bringing us a totally unpredictable winner from out of the blue? And there are so many advertisements that you have to take notes to remember what was going on when they return to racing. Looking back at "race week," I'll have to say that my favorite was the Arca race. Second favorite Xfinity and third was, unfortunately the 500. Just want to say that I really enjoy your reports and analysis. Your true enthusiasm for the sport really shines!
Very cool. That NASCAR experience area looks awesome! I hope they have it at MIS this year. 6’7” tall? What the….that’s the first time I have heard you say your height.
Man Reddick and the Fries Hauler is brilliant. Him and Bubba need to tag team and serve up a Big Mac meal for at least an hour. Quick way to make fans, easy way to please those sponsors
Hey Eric you ever been to Michigan International Speedway before? I couldn’t find any videos about it. I only ask because I just bought tickets to my first ever Nascar race. Going to MIS august 6th for the cup race. I can’t wait!!! Been checking out some of these videos just to get an idea of what to expect. I’m in Ohio, it’s the only track remotely close to, and is still like 3 hours away lol. Pocono was second closest but atleast 5 hour drive
Eric, honest opinion - race day traffic. How hard to get in/out of the track contending with 100,000+ fans. Do they manage the parking, traffic situation well? Met you down there last year during Speedweeks at Buckees. Haven't done the 500 yet, but have been considering it. Any tips/tricks, appreciated. Thank you!
It wasn’t exactly smooth, but it wasn’t impossible either. We sat in the parking lot and chilled for ~2 hours after the checkered flag before attempting to get out. It still wasn’t fast, but it wasn’t frustrating either. I’d suggest bringing food and drinks with you, then having dinner in the parking lot. By the time you get out of there, many restaurants are closed …..and those that aren’t closed are packed.
Personally I parked at Lot 7. Free off-site parking with free shuttles to the track. Shuttle took you from the lot to bass pro shops then picked you up there after the race. Took maybe 45 minutes from leaving my seat to being back at the car in the offsite lot. Maybe waited 15 minutes in line for a shuttle. Traffic leaving was backed up a mile in the left lane to take the first turn to I-95 so I just went a few miles farther down the road and got right on lol. Race ended around what 7? I was back in Orlando before 9 PM.
I wanted to go too Daytona but tickets and hotels were ridiculous. I could get multiple season passes for my local dirt tracks. Along with a couple regular nascar races for the price I would pay to go too the 500.
Were the trams running while the race was going on so that you could go to the stands? Also, how do so many people have hard cards? I thought those were extremely hard to get?
I went to the inaugural cup race in St. Louis and there can zone experience and such wasn’t that great and food lines where over an hour wait they where not ready or prepared
The Daytona 500 was as disastrous as Balloonfest 1986 Especially Considering the amount of commercials during the broadcast and yet again KFB gets screwed out of winning the Daytona 500
This sport needs to do more to attract fans. I'm 52, love football, baseball & hockey but nobody I know is into race car driving. On the outside to people like me it seems like you're watching cars going in an oval for hundreds of miles on end. I have no idea how the "league" works, structure, how many races per season, no idea of rules, team structure. If someone would break it down compared to one of the other sports like how many races in a season, how many teams are there, are there playoffs, do you need to just win a race or do you have to win all the races, is there points to be won, does every driver in every race, are some races more important then others etc. etc. etc.? Since I was kid I've wondered all these things. If there was a guide to introduce someone to it I'd be interested to learn but again, all I see are fast cars going in a circle which sometimes wreck & don't understand anything about it. Seems like if at least someone in your family watches it then you can pick it up as a kid & grow up with it. It also seems like this is a southern thing and maybe the entire "league" is happy with it the way it is.
Hey Eric Estepp I’m looking for a favourite Ford driver to join Chase Elliot (my favourite Chevrolet driver) & Bubba Wallace (my favourite Toyota driver), any suggestions from you be appreciated? I’m a fan
Only thing I hated about those horses is the tiny cages they were in….horses like that needs to be outside and if that many people is over stimulation for the horses then don’t bring them…bring one and keep him behind a fence with a handler
Apologies for the unbalanced audio in some spots. I was trying out a new mic/camera setup and didn't realize how much ambient noise was being captured. Thanks for watching!
Didn't really notice
Didn’t seem to be a problem Eric. Thank you for these videos from the track. Gives us fans that can’t be there a chance to experience it through you and your videos. Always look forward to daily NASCAR news from you. Keep it up! Hope to see you at a race eventually.
Won’t know a thing
Your presentations are still better than 95% of the others.
Your welcome eric ❤
It's on my bucket list to get an RV and spend the week at Daytona with everyone for the 500
Hell yea 😂
My bucket is so old that it is rusted and everything I put in it leaks out from the pressure of ongoing high inflation .

I picked up a goodie bag from the out of the groove tent. Definitely a nice little package. Definitely appreciate all that you do
Great video! Always nice to see whats happening at the track! Looks like things are trending in the right direction again!
Great video. And it was great to see you again in person, my friend.
Always enjoy your tours of the tracks!

to the person who signed “go Denny Hamlin” on Ross Chastain’s show car, you a goat for that
Thanks that was me!😂 not kidding

Mate so stoked I found this! Massive NASCAR fan from Cape Town South Africa! You film exactly what I want to come see! Next year we are coming to do the door bumper clear fan experience and will definitely try to do a second race to come meet you! Thanks for the inside info!,
We was in the Fan Zone and Pits was looking for you Eric. It was a great Speedweek in my opinion. Love your videos.
Thanks for taking us inside!
It looks like you had garage passes bc I don’t think I could get that close to the pit wall with the fan zone pass.
Thanks for the video, definitely want to go one year.

Damn that’s awesome 👏
Thanks for sharing that Eric!!
It was awesome to finally meet you at the Tweet up just before you started filming all of this! We talked about the differences between Daytona Rising and the old grandstands!
That place has changed a lot since I was there in 2004!
Eric you have to drive a car pr do a ride along. It would be so epic for this channel
Great video! NASCAR and the Speedway have gone a great job of giving fans their money's worth. Looks like fun!

Would not have thought that, but TV skus the view sometimes.
Great Work!!!!
It was nice meeting you at tweetup that day. I hope to see you again someday.
Awesome!! Thanks Eric.
I’m sure you did have an amazing time
It was great seeing you out there on Sunday when Chase was giving his interview!

That Fan Zone man in front of Stadium.
You know Battier as a Rocket.
I know him as 2001 National Champion Duke Blue Devil before his Pro career.
Ok I definitely want to go next year now, thx for videoing your experience

I was the one that took you the picture with at the Ally display, I was wearing the gray Kyle Busch shirt
Great footage! What camera are you using here?
2:39 Bro 💀 “Oh my gosh it’s the clash at the Clash at the Colosseum”
Eric is living the dream, He gets to write off the Daytona 500 as a business expense for taxes.
Shane Battier sighting lol so random but cool
Great video. Looked like fun.
I would make a beeline to get diecast and a T-Shirt at the merch haulers. I like the infield section of the track.
Amazing stuff you showed and great vlog too!

Being 6’6 I did the racing experience it was tight but I fit😂
What the What? You're 6'7"??? Holy Crap! Good for you.
Were the trams running while the race was going on so that you could go to the stands? Also, how do so many people have hard cards? I thought those were extremely hard to get?
The trams run through the entire race. Lots of sponsors and guests are invited to the Daytona 500 compared to other races.
Need to make a 1/64 OOTG & Power Hour
I went to the inaugural cup race in St. Louis and there can zone experience and such wasn’t that great and food lines where over an hour wait they where not ready or prepared

Joey Ogan's cousin.

Your 6'7? I'm 6'8 and fit just fine (once I got in) for the driving experience at Charlotte
6 ft 7! Serious? I had no idea
JRM Merch at the Legacy MC Hauler? I say it first in here. Look at this video and things will make sense in a few years.

COTA, Wilkesboro, Chicago, Michigan, and Phoenix 2 for sure.
