I had this and was sooooo disappointed. Ended up on a mannequin for about a year before I got rid of it. For the price, I expected something so much better. The plastic parts were quite flimsy, which made it look quite cheap and the under suit had a horrible smell that I just couldn’t get rid off. I made the mistake of trying it on once and more or less ripped it off because it was so hot. It was like being in a sleeping bag. I had also bought the XL version and even though I knew it would be big, I wasn’t prepared for just how big it was. Even Dave Prowse would have had problems filling it. It was massive! I remember it being advertised as an exact copy of a movie costume, which is why I probably had such high expectations. More specifically, it was advertised as being a copy of the Episode III costume worn by Hayden Christensen, which it clearly wasn’t. Especially the helmet.
That’s what we call false advertisement. Showing the real pic, but In reality you have cheap plastic stuff. The shoulder armour is worth saving. If you check my recent videos, you’ll notice a big difference.

I bought this costume new, and although I was disappointed at how flimsy it is, I have to admit that it's a decent costume. For those of us who are more demanding, it's a nice costume "base". I reworked my own electronics into the suit for breathing and to play the actual theme as I walked around, I upgraded the mask to the Black Series, so I'd have the collar part. Out of the box, this is decent, but there is ALWAYS room for improvement.
I may have missed it in the video, but how much did you pay for your suit?

The rubies body suit is the WORST. It could be 50 below and you’d be sweating and claustrophobic before you can say “sand”

Some of my costume is supreme, some from the actual Disney park/studios and I’ve got different helmets to choose from. It’s not the greatest but gets the job done just fine.

The helmet in that kit is rubbish, the pauldrons can be repainted, make sure you cut out the back of the suit and add mesh for breathability, add fans to the helmet and some to the suit. For the moulded parts and the jumpsuit and boots, you did OK.

Chuck Ybarra it’ll most certainly will, now that it’s been extended. Although, I would recommend getting a 2 piece real leather suit. Less hotter, and more screen accurate.

How tall are you? Just curious because I’m interested in ordering the standard size and I’m 5’7. I’ll be using 4” insoles inside my boots to help my height situation… Will need to find boots with enough space for them of course.

I've been tinkerin' wit' it (off & on) for some time.
I've seen some videos that one person took
Supreme edition of Vader's helmet and reconstructed, and
Fabricated it.
The "Black Series" has All tha' Electronic goodies to work Wit'.
When it comes to the very likeness,..The Black Series don't stand no chance.
If Ya' try studying by gettin' into Tha' "Gut" of the matter
Is to Re-create the exact same thing in every detail of the helmet.
The mics, speakers, wiring, voice changer, Eh'thang that comes with it. The exterior part of the "Supreme edition" version of it,
Jus' as 'bout as close as to original you can get. The Very likeness of Vader is There........You can B-E-T On that.
Now that’s it’s been a year, my last video I made, you can see the upgrades I’ve done. I now have a EFX helmet, Fibreglass shoulder armour (in which I’m replacing) a decent ANH chest box (which I’m going to replace soon) new gloves, a 2 piece real leather suit, a home made Rogue One codpiece, and a decent voice changer (zoom Multistomp) still need some stuff replaced.
@@CanadianVader according to the color of Vader's chest plate, observe a lil' mo' closer, and comparison to it.
Notice when Vader made his 1st appearance through the corridors of the costodian. The Original one-tone color of a more darker gun-metal.... Well,...... almost Black.
They've changed it to a Two-tone for ESB & ROTJ.
The shoulder bell has been redesigned at least 3 times.
Pay attention to Many versions appeared in all Vader scenes.

All the plastic and mechanical components are still ok looking I’d say purchase a new bodysuit, gloves, and helmet (no offence to the rubies suit but it’s helmet sucks)
