    I follow this recipe every year for like 4 years now, it never fails me. I have done some modifications once where I made a Nutella whipped cream filling with some bits of nuts, another time I did raspberry jam and vanilla whipped cream, they were all so great and perfect for my boyfriend who's allergic to wheat. Thank you so much for this recipe ❤

    L 205 , The Bûche de Noël cake is a French Christmas tradition that dates back to the 19th century. The cake represents the yule log that families would burn starting on Christmas Eve. The burning of the yule log symbolized the new year to come and would bring good luck to the family....... Tom ( Alberta - Canada )

    But can I substitute the sweet rice flour with almond flour? If yes, how much almond flour I need?

      Hi there. I haven’t tried almond flour for this kind of swiss roll cake, but I don’t think almond flour will work. Because the glutinous rice flour plays a major role in gluten-free rolled cake. :)

      I haven’t tried that way, but I think you wouldn’t get enough volume.

    I tried this recipe last year and it was amazing, but i have no idea why this year the cake didn't stay together after i rolled it
    Did anyone had this issue?
    Nb: i mixed whole eggs with sugar together for like 15 min to get the same result like in the video (and this way worked with wheat flour perfectly)

      @by_misun I wanted also to know if possible, I have almost the same recipe but for 3 eggs we put 90g of wheat flour
      Is the ratio of flour different this much?

      Yes, of course. Cake flour and all-purpose flour can be used as substitutes for sweet rice flour.
