You are doing an excellent job! I appreciate your honesty and not making the passion of guitar playing a chore. I also appreciate that you are playing a Yamaha, and not trying to sell your audience that only Martin & Gibson can be the guitar brand. I have a few too many Yamaha and they are the best value.
Man you and I are old enough not to let comments bother us. I've been on the WEB from the beginning. In fact I've worked for over 40 years asTech Support for a major bank during my career. All people who try this utube channels all have to put up with nasty stuff. Your great! Warren from Florida. Keep up your great work brother.
Beginner guitar player here learning his first song, could you make a video on how to sing and strum at the same time without screwing up the strumming pattern? Love your channel, really helped me out with switching chords
It was called Beatles Complete. I'm leaving the theory to the Rick Beatos of the world, right now I'm sticking with short and simple. Maybe in the future. Check out some of my short lesson videos 😉
I agree with you on everything except maybe equipment. It seems to me it is way more of a challenge with bad or old equipment. There are people trying to learn on equipment that is not playable.
I know what you mean, but I learned on equipment that was unplayable by today's standards and even by older standards. My point is just that the most important thing is the desire to play.
Myth. There are guitars for all sizes and shapes. Angus Young picked the Gibson SG because he was so small and the guitar is small. You may not be able to do stretches like Steve Vai but that doesn't mean you can't be great.
I’m a 58 year old that’s just learning guitar , I love your lessons
Been playing for 6 months and I agree with all your comments !
Awesome!
I agree with everything you are saying,I've been at it seriously a little under 8 months and I find it hard to Not pick up my guitar. So much fun

Some really great advice, i need to practice more. By the way, what was the name of the Beatles book? Do you have any theory lessons?

@@grogueQ As long as it works.
@@texasrebroker And a good setup does make it a lot easier to learn. Having to fight an instrument with a bad setup will slow any player's progress.
I have a lot better guitar today than when I started and I still don’t sound good,,, hahaha,, but I keep playing and having fun with it! ✌🏽
what about you need big hands and long fingers to play guitar well, is that true or a myth?
Myth. There are guitars for all sizes and shapes. Angus Young picked the Gibson SG because he was so small and the guitar is small. You may not be able to do stretches like Steve Vai but that doesn't mean you can't be great.
Rhythm is king. Can you teach us the Rhythm Method?
Check out my other channel.
Was your friend who didnt know the chords he played named Stavos Matrize?
Haha, no. It's some guy you don't know.
I just saw the Ocarina i gave you!
You see the didgeridoo?
