Dyskinetic - Morse Codex

Here’s the music video for Morse Codex, created by the wonderful Nicci Craig - it’s out in all the usual places on Friday :)
I’ve been recording a lot lately, and it was going well. I had a setback when I got a cold and ended up taking vocal rest. I didn’t want to drop the ball, so decided to try my hand at an instrumental.
Inspired by my buddies @craiggouldmusic and @grantjamesuk, I knew I wanted to make something that the same kind of rustic vibe, but was definitely electronic music. With the typewriter/Morse Code sound, I got the rural, rustic feel I wanted. Less futuristic, like music that wants a spot of oil.
Made partly using iPad, it was a fun exploration of electronic music making and a different kind of accessible music tech.
The video really brings the sound together with the big nature imagery I saw in my mind while I made this; I hope it brings you a moment’s peace ❤️
