As a native Floridian, I am a huge fan of these gentle creatures. I once went kayaking on the St. John’s River, and a manatee family camped out in a small lagoon where the kayaks were kept. Darn near tipped me over once 😂
I'm not one prone to jealousy but I really do envy this man. Breathtaking (literally).

I never realized how much Manatees really do look like early hybrid terrestrial mammals.... these guys really are proof of evolution.

He has labelled himself as Agnostic and has no positive belief that any god/s exist.
Therefore, this also makes him an atheist (somebody who doesn't believe that a god exists), although he's reluctant to label himself as such for some reason.

Not all manatees believe in evolution. Some believe we were divinely created in the image of the great, omnipotent Godatee, Steve. All praise Steve - creator of the waters, provider of sea grasses, Steve, who protects us from prop strikes, (sometimes) and leads us south for the winter. Amenatee.

I mean I usually believe Sir Attenborough, but when he says "warm, clear water" whilst wearing a drysuit, he must either be lying or is extremely sensitive to temperatures!
they probably live one of the least stressful lives out of all animals.. no predator, and food is readily available
