How to reset/bypass linux login screen password - Ubuntu | Linux mint | Pop! Os

Commands used in the video tutorial
1.mount -o remount,rw / - it is used to change read-only file system to write permissions
2. passwd username
3. reboot

Hope you were trying to reset the username password and not the root password....
If it's the root it ain't gonna work because you need the username and password

passwd username or if it's root passwd only then press enter
Then you are going to enter your new password and confirm thanks
