Calling a Lyre a “crossbow” and a “three pronged sword” when it being a musical instrument is established already is wild. Maybe a harp? Or a weird guitar? Nope, tri-sword.
Thanks for the laughs, Tyler.
"That's definitely a three pronged sword" "Nope, it's a musical instrument" "ARE YOU CALLING ME A LYRE?!"
Are you saying that swords and crossbows arent instruments? Cause when i have medieval self defence and i use them, it always makes music.... or screams. Hard to distinguish
actually insane that he collects music notes and then thinks hes gonna play the notes on a crossbow... then a sword
@heinshaaine8153 „you don’t want to see my dark side.“
Tyler, I'm gonna save you a few future headaches (no puzzle spoilers whatsoever):
There are a lot of missing / incomplete things in the game. Some of the islands you were trying to get to don't actually... Exist. There also is no turtle exit in the magma island. There are some map inconsistencies and unimplemented meta puzzles, too. From what I gather, the devs planned to put this in but IRL troubles got in the way. So if you're racking your head on how to get to an area, don't. However I will say that every visible collectable and snake eyes IS some valid puzzle that has been implemented.
Will it get implemented later on?
@@JavierGarcia-su5vn Devs say eventually
@@JavierGarcia-su5vn (like kman said) devs said eventually, after IRL stuff has been sorted. Personally I don't like that they released the game with so many visible loose ends but for now we just respect their decisions and trust

Awh, sucks.. :(
24:45 That’s so cool, he’s actually wearing the upgrades. The digging claws, the heat-resistant armor, and the flippers on the waist. What a fun detail.
that is cool!!! it seems like he wears them both in the game and on the title screen
If only he also knew there is a cape that allows him to jump over holes in the ice mountains, and a upgrade for a special suprise at the head of the big snake.
@@pavelogorek6575seriously bro no spoiler warning
Hi Tyler. If you’re aiming for 100% then you should know that along with the 109 stars there are 12 of each stone and 13 keys once everything is unlocked. Also, the cloud covered islands don’t exist. They don’t show up on the world map so they’re probably for a later update.
In regards to the story… from what I understood the Green Goddess, accompanied by the 4 Elemental Gods, fought the Void Serpent in space. The Serpent pushed everyone back but the Green Goddess exchanged blows, damaging the Serpent’s core but getting bit in the process. The Serpent fell, the core dropping into the sea and the corpse becoming an island, while the Goddess power dispersed into Stars and fell to the islands below. The 4 Elemental Gods took the sleeping Goddess and created a temple for her to rest in before separating to their own islands. As this happened the core, infused with the Green Goddess’s energy from her last attack did the Yin/Yang thing and created life. When the Green Goddess woke up (now as the Priestess) she sensed the core and went to finish the job, however when she pulled out her spear and prepared to strike she hesitated. What she sensed inside wasn’t a monster or a beast, but a person. The Priestess decided to wait, returning to the temple, as the core hatched and drifted to shore where he awoke under the control of the player.
From there the reincarnated Serpent gathers the Stars that were once the Goddess power in order to reach new areas, learns from the Priestess about his origins, and seeks out stones to get the favor of the 4 Elemental Gods to reawaken their elementals and open the door to the sanctum before finally returning the power and working with the Gods to expand the world.
As for why the priestess slaps you it’s probably because you’re the reincarnation of a dangerous beast. Even if her contribution to your birth would probably make her your mother you did nearly kill her and destroy the world, she’s definitely wary that your evil nature still exists until she can witness otherwise. The puzzles she creates might even be a test of rational thinking and logic over crudely bashing your way through.
Actually, the whole thing has more to do with the traditional world creation myths of the Polynesian cultures than anything you described, thanks to the scene at the end of the video, as it is traditional in those cultures to have the gods create the islands.
@@alexsmith6281So why does she slap him?
@@drdca8263 I don't see why it has to be a slap, since that 'slap' give him insights on her memories. Perhaps more like a zap, and perhaps you fall unconscious when relive the memories of a god, I dunno
@@drdca8263 The developer didn't intend for it to be a slap, but was amused that so many players interpreted it that way. I believe he mentioned this on either his X or Discord.
@@Taruby Ah! Thanks!
I honestly love the “Last time on” section, and how it blends into the actual video
It’s really nice of a refresher
24:32 fire dude got so mad he crashed your game
It was probably the water guy being indecisive
that happened to me before, crazy bug
@@edwiinandresmosqueramarulandaNope, it's a fire guy being pushed into the river. Happened to me a bunch of times
22:50 I just found out that when the character goes into idle animation, the elements have a special animation
-wind becomes a cloud
-fire juggling fireballs
-rock just clapping
-water becomes a sprinkler (about here 25:31)
The fire elemental also juggles with the number of shots he has remaining.
Also the water elemental copies all have their own unique idol animations.
"Previously On Isles Of Sea & Sky"
I’m glad it exists for those who want it but man do I wish they’d use the chapter function so I could just skip it
My favorite phrase coming from Tyler
fun fact: a lot of the more spoiler-y puzzles (like the statues or dragonflies) in this game are actually different per player so you cant really get spoiled too much about them
The exactly positions/movements differ, but the key to the puzzle is fundamentally the same.
@@OriginalPiMan well yeah i wouldnt expect anyone to make so many completely different puzzles
@@alexdacat7052
My point is that people are getting plenty spoiled because the trick to the puzzle is being revealed.
@@OriginalPiMan true
EVERY COPY OF ISLES OF SEA & SKY IS PERSONALIZED
I've really started to love the "previously on..." thing, really helps since this channel rarely uploads the same game twice in a row and I have the memory of a goldfish.
Oh the thumbnail puzzle. I searched around the entire isle to find the remaining statue. When I finally concluded the blue one wasn't there, I decided to push the blue statue off the grid. I just so happened to push it into the ocean while all others were at the right place.
That also took me a while but I also used the flags on the map to mark where each of the dudes is so for reference(there are multiple colours, about 8).
Snake eyes are any secret, Tyler- music notes, hidden paths like the ladder on that first island, or something like the star sleeping behind the waterfall from a few episodes ago. If it is not immediately visible and obvious as something you can do, snake eyes are there for you.
19:11
Fav moment
Its funny because i started of not enjoying this series but now i have come to love it
I wonder if he'll start this journey by finally getting the wind item? I wonder what the minimum number of equipment is that you need to reach this ending.
Thank God description says Tyler already 100% the game
I've 100%'d it and still perplexed by the obvious unimplemented gates and far off inaccessible islands. There's a few unimplemented puzzles and inaccessible rooms on some of the islands
I don't think I had ever read a RUclips video description until this very moment. Thank you for letting me know they exist
Tyler didn't 2000% the game?
Why even watch him... :p
@@GygasDistruttore because he's a good content creator
Oh THAT'S how you use the buttons in the water room! I don't remember how I solved it, but I distinctly remember looking at those two buttons after and being like, "...why?"
This series is one of the best I've seen in a while, it's sad to think it'll be coming to an end soon. For now though, thanks for another banger
Then the game will be updated some time after with everything that’s not done yet, and there will hopefully be more episodes!
It’s amazing how you solved the puzzle for the water crystal in such a different way from what I did, experimenting with tons of ideas that were all different from what I experimented with. Really open and creative puzzle. (I used the water elemental to copy other elementals a lot, mainly by copying the air elemental. It allowed the water elemental to escape on the right, opening a tons of other ideas, like trying to extract the right most water cube, etc.)
It's funny how the air elemental consistently manages to get other elementals and the dude killed while being basically invulnerable himself
I think it's funny that this puzzle stumped so many people when it's a pretty blatant reference to a very famous puzzle in another game (which is all I'm gonna say to prevent spoilers)
I don’t know the reference but after a few laps around the volcano, it seemed obvious enough.
The one that stumped me was the ‘sleeping rock’.
@@TheRestedOne The sleeping rock was much more obvious in the demo. In the full release, they made a nice change of showing it with the Earth symbol that you learn about - but also a bad change of making it extremely unobvious to solve
What's the reference?
@@nextProgram If I had to guess, probably: (putting in read more if you want to be cautious about potential spoilers for the other puzzle game)
The game being referenced is Riven, and
The puzzle is the fire marble puzzle
@@TheRestedOne that's the only puzzle I had to take a hint on. The rock symbol threw me off because I thought it was somehow supposed to be related to the stone elemental.
22:49 even the wind sleeps with you
These puzzles are slightly randomly generated! When I did the pushing demons puzzle, red was my missing one.
There are also multiple ways to solve a lot of them. I think Tyler’s solutions are over complicated at times.
23:58 just got to get it to finish shoooting its load - - Tyler ( idk how to spell it )
31:15 "Fire dude has to be the one to hit" 😩
I ran around the whole island twice before the Idea hit me, and I thought "It couldn't be this, could it?" low and behold.
Fun fact, I solved the water gem puzzle without using the rock dude, clearing the green directional block for his area, or pushing down either of the buttons...
The key is an interaction mechanic between the wind dude and the fire dude. If you use the wind dude to move the fire dude, the fire dude moves forward one square and then rolls into the next, as if pushed again. He only fires if he successfully rolls forward a square after being moved. So you can move the fire guy into place to shoot the bell, without spending any charges on it, if you carefully block its forward motion with the ice block accordingly. Then, send the iceblock down the river to cover the first spikes, and leave the wind dude on the final spikes, and he'll push you up and over if you jump into the river. Then just push the water dude into the gem yourself.
In short, Wind dude interactions are OP, this helped me make short work of the final puzzles.
You can just abuse water/wind interactions as well. Water can copy wind endlessly, if you adjust properly, you can move them to break puzzles. You can use it to break water out of it's intended zone in that puzzle, and swing it around the right side.
that coloured statue puzzle was DIABOLICAL like the solution completely makes sense but idk if i would have thought of it
In my opinion that puzzle is one of the stupidest in the entire game. It's just way too obscure, because nothing else requires you to just... throw stuff away. And given how many people had to look this one up, I'd guess they would agree with me.
@@Schilani Literally half of the game requires you to throw stuff away by blowing up blocks or destroying logs. This game already breaks conventional thought, I can see frustration stemming from having to push it off the water, but it is not at all illogical. If you're frustrated because you spent a lot of time lost on it, sure, a lot will agree, don't blame it on it being stupid.
@@swordzanderson5352 As far as I have seen, it's the only puzzle of this type still. Sure, you throw boxes into the holes to create a path, but you never just push a box out of the map.
It was easy to figure out to move it off the grid. It was not easy to think to completely destroy it by shoving it into the water, which isn’t don’t on any other puzzle in the game.
Difficult puzzle: *exists*
Tyler: Did you just dare to look me in the eye?
I found that bug as well. I reported it already to the discord. Fire elementals that move by any means other than you pushing them crash the game. It also happens when you use wind/ice elementals to push the fire elementals.
15:21: Tyler accidentally quoted Random Thoughts from Jaiden Animations.
Tyler could do all of this game in 1 sitting and i won't doubt it
Famous instruments, the sword and crossbow
Classic Aliensrock move, solve an extremely difficult puzzle that most other people can't
This series is so great! Looking forward to more puzzles!
AliensRock video on my birthday? W.
great series. my brain is too tiny to ever play this game but it's fun watching you solve it
Your solutions are unexpected and unique!
I love this series ❤❤
15:35 It’s a musical instrument, Tyler. So… probably a lyre.
The burnt sprite of the protag after using the phoenix looks terribly close to the Mother series‘ failed teleport sprite… would be a neat easteregg :)
29:55
Rock dude got angry (great job to the editors)
Yeaaahh, new video!!
19:29 "what if it was like gone? like fucking dead- *pushes in water and works* OH MY GOD..... *laughs*"
This playlist needs a compilation video of the “story times”
[looks at title] [looks at thumbnail] Yes, yes it did. One of the ones I needed a hint for, actually.
We need 3 episodes of this game a week, pleaseeee
Funny enough when I did the idol puzzle while in a call with a friend, my friend said as a joke “What if you threw green one in the ocean?”
Great video 👍
"gone like f***ing dead" *solves the puzzle*
Every time he calls the BRONZE bell RED.
This was an interesting one to me. There are multiple ways to solve most puzzles it seems, and you chose different paths than I did. For games I haven’t played, I thought you were just big brain gaming solutions I couldn’t see, but now it seems like you just see it very differently, and more complicated. Maybe I’m wrong, but some of the solutions you came up with seem way more complicated than what I did.
there's a pretty huge powerup you missed in the ice area, I'd vote you go there next
0:43 nice Earthbound reference
This would be fun to watch 100 percent. The game reminds me of monsters expedition.
Let's goooooo new video
You can know if there is a music note on the screen because one of the music note symbols in the inventory lights up !!
7:09 missed the stairs! You can go up left!
finally another episode!!
I have to say, on the lava island, when I found out you are meant to simply find secret invisible paths on lava felt dumb and wasn't satisfying at all.
I might be going crazy but when Tyler went by the path to get the fire dude his lore rock there was what seemed to be a lock behind the trees, but in that spot it was just a wall and the snake didnt have red eyes
“Who cares if I’m plugging the hole above when I should actually be plugging the hole below”

I have no idea what's going on but it's entertaining
Woohoo we cheer when Tyla-r uploads

Tyler please play wormwood! Its kinda short, but I know you would love it
I think this game deserved her place on your screen of glory aka outro
8:14 Is there a music note here? No!
Music note: exists
11:45 Seriously advanced and involved battles (or chess)
0:43 AAAA NOT PETSCOP AGAIN!- oh. Nevermind..
The last fire pussle I think you could solved with the green portal as well
I cheesed the shit out of lava island when i realised i could push and move into a bomb in the same tick
like what if the blue one is dead
It sends out a sigal!
33:52 mmmmmmm, the post game....
Seems to be a creation myth similar to some Pacific Islander cultures
Still need to go back to dead snake island and see what six black rocks gets you
But you need like nine or something. Definitely more than six.
WOOO
Sure it did
I love this series to bits, the channel has introduced me to a game that I would never discover or finish on my own, and I'm excited for every episode.
But what's with the intro? I think it would be so much better without the tiktok voiceover, ooo'ing and aaa'ing at everything and talking endlessly without a breath
Push some blocks, dance with a god, average adventure
I love how the elementals are just "dudes" now
26:40 i was completely stumped by this puzzle. are the two buttons just red herrings or is this not the intended solution.
Bro thinks he's Aang💀

The puzzle with the statues on the volcano island was meant to reference the story unlocked at the end of the episode. the blue statue being in the ocean makes sense.
Except that it's random per playthrough soooooo.
It wouldn't be an eastern game if you didn't either fight god, or become god; sometimes both.
