Here's a guy who's in his 80's, on stage for hours and hours, giving it his all with a terrific band (each one at the top of their game!) and this bloke is actually a living legend. That phrase is used too easily nowadays...but this man is responsible for writing some of the most popular songs EVER...just think about that! Yes, his voice isn't what it was 40 years ago but just enjoy and get swept away by the experience - once he's gone that's it. I'm a huge Queen fan, saw them a number of times with Fred but I was brought up on The Beatles and when I saw him in Liverpool a few years back I'm not ashamed to say that I shed a few tears....what a performer - and easily the best concert I'd ever been to!!!

Got to give him credit for putting together a good band to back him up. A powerhouse drummer and the two guitarists. Plus his steady keyboard player from years ago. This current lineup has been playing about 20 years and they have done a great job. Macca appears to enjoy playing live unlike Lennon and Harrison who said they were done years ago and wanted to stay home. Macca knows a band has to play live or it’s over. You’ve got to get that feedback and live interaction. Macca doesn’t have to play live anywhere. He simply wants to. And I’m grateful for that. He’s kept the Beatles music alive in public. Thank you Macca! And thanks to whoever posted this show!

He's been doing 3 hours sets for decades! Sadly when first saw The Beatles at the Hammersmith London 1965 they didn't have this much material.... So a "Set" was typically 40 to 50 minutes...
@@alastairmurray3153 The Beatles were only doing 20-25 minute shows in Australia. But the promoter got them dirt cheap at the time. Paul had mentioned it before that it was a bargain deal. They were signed up before they made it big.
Thanks for posting this! I saw him last year in Boston. What a legend and he has the energy of someone half his age and his voice is great for his age. Try doing this when you're 81!
Thanks for the upload, and I appreciate the time stamps. I saw Paul at Parramatta Stadium in 1993, and I think this was the first tour where he started playing Beatles songs again. It is a major highlight of my life, as I never imagined that I would get to hear 18 Beatles songs performed live and be able to sing along to "Hey Jude".
I was there and he was fantastic, is a legend and thats why I was there. Yes his voice faltered here and there but thats not a problem, I was there to appreciate his music and song writing and see a legendary Beatle. Thanks Tony for recording the whole thing you rock mate🤘
Despite that I have mentioned in the recent past that Paul's voice has gotten pretty bad and I've seen him in concert for my last time, quite a few years ago, I have to admit, this guy still puts on an amazing show. I just looked through the song list only to realize this concert isn't nearly over. I have never in my life seen him perform so many songs in one concert and with so much energy. when he was with the Beatles, which I never got to see, their concerts consisted of no more than 30 songs. When I saw him with Linda and the band in 1993 Off The Ground concert, and again with his amazing backup band in 2002 in the Driving Rain concert he did about 40 songs I think. 81 years old and he did at least 50 songs here? AMAZING!
People not raising their phones, but instead fully immersing themselves in that moment is a true testament of the profound impact Paul's music has brought on poeples lives. But I'm pretty grateful tho for this video!!

He should consider tuning everything down just a half-step. Night not pack the same punch on some songs but it could save his voice a bit & he'd feel more comfortable.

Musically sounds pretty good for live. Unfortunately, Paul's voice can no longer reproduce his dynamic range from his younger years. But whoa, performing at 81 is fantastic. He's a legend and I"m thankful he's still active. I saw him in Brisbane in the 70's when Wings were pretty much at the top of their game.
nah for real he sounds great for his age but for his benefit I think he should down tune his songs slightly maybe by a half or whole step would make those notes a LOT easier to hit. still not bad by any means just some of the songs with higher notes it will be hard to hit for most people on a good day (hell i'm 19 and can't hit half the notes he can at 81)
I really hope Paul comes to Houston or at least to Texas. I know a lot of the songs played here such as “New” which is a personal favorite and underrated

It is totally different from the Beatles days. I was only 3 when they came to Australia. But they only performed for about 20-30 minutes back then.

Musically sounds pretty good for live. Unfortunately, Paul's voice can no longer reproduce his dynamic range from his younger years. But whoa, performing at 81 is fantastic. He's a legend and I"m thankful he's still active. I saw him in Brisbane in the 70's when Wings were pretty much at the top of their game.
nah for real he sounds great for his age but for his benefit I think he should down tune his songs slightly maybe by a half or whole step would make those notes a LOT easier to hit. still not bad by any means just some of the songs with higher notes it will be hard to hit for most people on a good day (hell i'm 19 and can't hit half the notes he can at 81)
