Wow!! for a one day trip, you did a lot in Mumbai. I am from Mumbai, now living in US. Some of the areas are my favorite. You visited Chor Bazar!! Panjarpol, Bhuleshwar etc., also the south Mumbai. These are the places I use to roam around in my childhood, my school was in Bhuleshwar.Your guide Anand really helped you well. I visited these places last January and I am 83y old!
Fell in love with your channel video of Mumbai, and not because of I am from India residing in u.s. , but the most beautiful and important thing that I have witnessed was your down to earth personalities. May God bless you with all happiness and wealthyness with lots of love and blessings 🤗🤗🤗
Absolutely loved this! My husband and I have been filming our travels too, and it's so nice to see other adventurers bringing their own unique storytelling to the table. Thanks for the inspiration!
hidden gems in India - Ladakh and Spiti Valley- some of the best mountains on earth Andaman Islands- some of the best beaches Tamil Nadu- some of the best architecture Western Ghats- some of the best nature and wildlife North East India- some of the best tribal culture most known places in India are the worst. best places are all hidden.

That tour guide was very sweet and a bit adorable haha i think it was because he's a bit on the older side but oh my god. Bro was explaining a sandwitch to a westerner 😂 that was cute.
I came here after seeing your "is india safe for female travelers" video. I just wanna say, if you love india, but felt unsafe and uncomfortable so much of the time, you would probably LOVE Nepal 🇳🇵 ❤ my husband is from Nepal and I've been many times. It's amazing. There was ONE time I got the paparazzi treatment from like 3 teenage guys, but it was lowkey and I didnt feel scared or threatened. I didnt know why they wanted a picture with me, and I didn't say no or anything, but I feel like if i would have, they would have gone away. Nothing like what you described in India. Nepali people are mellow and super friendly! Beautiful country and mountains and amazing food! ❤
Anand....perfect, as you said. He says his name means "happy" and that is definitely what he appears to have given to you--your Happy. Your smile and energy. As you said later, he restored your humanity. Made you feel like a welcomed guest instead of the object that the people in the North treated you like. We can see just how great a time you had there, and it really seems like a lot of that came from Anand, as well as that amazing place. He sounds like he was a great teacher and created that genuine connection. Heck...he's obviously a great person. * What did that laundry smell like? Clean? Or...not so clean? * Loved how he always called you "Ms. Lee." * Really like you allowing Anand to talk about his own city. The looks on your face while describing the prior use of the gardens was hilarious! * After describing the food at that one stall, props to Anand...let's go find something more "authentic!" And good job working with you to find a great coffee. * This is what a real tour guide should be! Show you his city, but make sure your tour works with what you want and need. Not just take you to some photo spot or some over priced restaurant or store, but show you the city. Awesome. * Pretty beach! Was it vacant because of the hot weather? * This particular vlog is "Travel with Anand!" Awesome to let him take over at the Gateway and the hotel! 🤣 * When next you visit--try the Taj Mahal hotel...wow. Would love to see what it's like in there! * Good call on skipping the caves...better to see the city and learn as much as you did from Anand. * Watching your videos makes sticking to my healthy diet a bit challenging...that Masala looked soooooooooo good! * Pretty neat seeing the street market...that turned into a "chop shop?" Wow. * How cool to go to the Cow Shelter...you really enjoyed that so much! * I've got a big grin on my face while you talk to us in the taxi and hearing how happy you were in Mumbai and how well Anand restored your faith. What an amazing day. Glad you were able to continue to persevere through the bad in the North and discover beautiful Anand and Mumbai! Here's hoping the good vibes continued and we look forward to next week! Rob&Erin
I'm so glad you enjoyed watching Anand too! I was grinning ear to ear editing this episode. I'm sure you and Erin, of all people, sense the difference in the episodes when there's so much genuine joy coming from my side :) This was one of those! He made this day so much fun. hahaha the laundry actually smelled so good! It was so fresh hahaha Love it! Yes I think the beach was empty because it's the height of summer and super hot. Maybe it's more popular later in the day and maybe on weekends too? Hope you both have a great week ahead. P x
Miss Phoebe:Thanks you so much for your new remarkable video today’s this weekend to heads Mumbai, India to visits these amazing places on the streets in June of 2024❤❤❤

Am a Mumbai resident. Its not what you'd call a typically 'touristy' city. Youve more or less covered everything that any tourist visiting Mumbai would cover. Its usually a lot of walking in town- 'South Bombay'- where all the Victorian Buildings are - the same larger area as the Asiatic Library you've captured in this video. My city's got by far the best vibe in the country (ofcourse im biased - who isnt ? ) so just walk around- enjoy the vibe- the constant hustle bustle - the honking not so much- the food & the sunset at marine drive. An added tip- next time, try the 'filter coffee' WITH sugar/jaggery & NOT with cow milk. That'l give you a real taste of it. Given your experiences in India- just be safe and commence & end your trip here in Mumbai. Happy Travels !
I am absolutely DYING to go to India and my co-worker has family from there and really wants me to go with him, but it looks SO bloody hot. My asthma is bothering me just watching this. Stay safe!
Don't go to the cities...Go to the Himalayas...I get surprised when people only visit Delhi Jaipur and say they have seen India...the Himalayan regions are our main tourist locations...Look up Ladakh, Sikkim, Dharamshala, Shimla, Rishikesh, Darjiling, Kalimpong...you will love these areas more I feel...Less crowd, clean air... beautiful mountains...

It's better to travel during Nov end - Jan. Being an Indian we can hardly handle the rest of the months, it's either too much rain, or too much sun, The humidity is going to ruin everything you wear within a couple of mins. I'd definitely recommend visiting the Himlayas (not during winter). And places like Jaipur, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Kerala, Goa.
India is a very huge and diverse country in the world 🌏 28 state + 8 union territory = India (36) 🇮🇳 And many more indian island like Andaman Nikobar, Lakhyadeep etc..🙏🙏
Hello.. Hope you can visit my city again. I am a mumbaikar a proud one. Hi! Phoebe 👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻Glad you met Anand the tour guide that made your holiday in Mumbai stress free and entertaining. Anand really made you feel at home and relax. Please stay safe and take care while traveling alone. Don’t want any bad things to happen to you. Thank You for sharing this wonderful vlog of Mumbai. Happy holidays. Take care ❤️
HI ! What you have seen is just South Mumbai. There is much more in Mumbai. Mumbai festivals like Janmashtami. People make human tower to break a pot hanging upto 50 feet up in sky ?? Come to Ganesh chaturthi time. Lord Ganesha festival 10 days. Mumbai goes creazy, Come Navratri, 10 days Dancing festival for Goddes Amba and her nine different incarnation. We all celebrate these festivals Plus there is much more like Borivali national park where canheri caves are there, You missed on Elephnta caves around 5th or 6th centuries ! There is more excellent food places all around Mumbai. There is much ore to see. Come again for atleast 5 to 6 days atleast if you want to explore Mumbai in depth with planning ofcourse.
Hiya! It's me again, catching up after moving houses. I'm happy you finally found a good tour guide that treats you with respect. I'm not staying in a Taj hotel since I've seen the Taj Mahal movie, it's so freakin' scary. What'd you think of that hotel? Because it truly does look beautiful. Any dish that calls something masala is amazing. I love the Indian curry tastes. It's just a pity that my bowels get upset by onion and garlic and that seems to be the main ingredients. Those cows were so happy with you bringing food. Being rich is not about money. Being rich is about learning cultures, experiencing things, travel the world. It makes me proud seeing you travel all around the globe, even at places that are not the safest for a solo traveling woman. Thank you for sharing and have an amazing week ahead 🤙
Hi There, generally in the summer tourists visit the Himalayan regions more than the cities ...you should definitely visit places like Kashmir(called Switzerland of India), Leh Ladakh, Sikkim, Rishikesh, Darjiling and places in North bengal....You will love those places! Totally diff vibe than mainstream Indian cities...Visiting these places is a must if you visit India...if not in this trip but you should definitely visit them in the next one.

If you come back to India again , definitely try Luxury hotels of Udaipur. I have heard it is once in a life experience. Also explore South India ( more developed than north ) or Ladakh or something.
Coming to Mumbai on Friday and excited just doesn't even cover it! Can you remember the name of the cow shelter as feel that this is a must see place in Mumbai? Thanks Carol-Anne
Next time stay at say Oberoi or Trident - the service is great and u should get out early morning or late evening and walk down the marine drive stretch .. it’s worth it.
Phoebe, am so glad you had a good time in Mumbai. I live in Bandra, Mumbai and wonder if you explored Bandra. You are always safe in Mumbai, which is the safest city in this country. If you use a black and yellow taxi or Rickshaw, you pay by the electronic meter so you don't get ripped off. You can eat cheaply (Street vendors) or eat expensive food too. Come back to Mumbai and if you need any advice, do get in touch. I won't charge you. 😂😂😂
If you enjoy seafood (Very ethinic to coastal region of Maharastra), you should go to Highway Gomantak.Used to be my favourite place when i lived in Mumbai.Mumbai is ny birth place however i have moved to New Zealand. Highway Gomantak is a local gem and very few might know about it.Another place for good sea good is Mahesh lunch home but will be pricey. The real gems in Mumbai for food are the ones that are very local .
Phoebe I told you you’ll love Mumbai.!! Right Now talking about nice hotels is Taj lands End (Bandra) or Oberoi hotel (Worli) You can also visit BKC (Bandra Kurla Complex) Many corporate offices & big malls are there ..! You can also visit Mount Marry church at Bandra West
(South India) State of Kerala🌴😍☺️ must visit places: -Aleppy backwaters ('Venice of the East') -Vagamon ('Scotland of Kerala') -Munnar hill station ('Kashmir of South India') home to tea plantations, spice garden, tasty homemade chocolates and different wildlife -Varkala Beach and Kovalam Lighthouse beach -Fort Kochi attractions with Jewish synagogue, Dutch Palace and Portuguese church alongwith the European influenced streets -world's first water metro also try the land metro -Kerala is a major football hub and has got featured in FIFA channel ⚽🔥 -Athirapally waterfalls ('Niagara falls of South India') - Lulu International Mall (largest malls of South India in Trivandrum and Kochi) -Jatayu largest Bird Sculpture -Do interact with the locals they are really sweet and helpful -This state has the highest literacy rate -Christians, Muslims, Hindus, Jews etc.. all live in peace and harmony♥️ -It is also the home of Ayurvedic medicine -The Kerala cuisine consists of non-veg including beef and pork and seafood. Also try the traditional meal served on banana leaf 😍
It’s the second time you and I are in the same city and haven’t met :( I was last in croatia when you were and even today! Pls have a lovely day and I wish I could have met you
Hey, there are people who just want to make money by extorting people, especially people from other countries. Happy to see that you were able to meet Anand and have a good tour around Mumbai. Sorry for the bad experience you experienced in the north,I must say as a fellow Indian.
Northern suburbs will give you a different profile of Mumbai altogether. South Mumbai, that you visited is very good, but a lot of travelers do not get recommended to try the northern part, which is equally safe, if not more. It is not as glorified as South Mumbai, but it is definitely free of british feeling. I am not the right person to suggest a good tour guide, since I am from Mumbai, but I can definitely recommend you places to visit in suburbs.
@@gamingink1252it is true. Mumbai is very chill that way. I think I was 19? Visited Mumbai, we 3 girls were drunk and still roamed around safely across the city and not a single man looked at us weirdly. Wonder what’s wrong with Delhi (and the neighbouring states too) guys 😅
Stay at Taj Mahal Palace in Mumbai at your next visit. It will be a experience u will never forget for your life time. Hotel Taj Mahal Palace is bit expensive mind it.
Please show us Sanjay Gandhi National Park (an 87 km² protected area in Mumbai), Borivali (East) & The 2400-year-old Kanheri caves, sculpted by monks out of the rocky basaltic cliffs, lie within the park.
Hi Pheobe you should stay in Good hotels in Andheri near to airport. Also next time do visit Taj hotel, Leopoldo cafe, colaba causeway, Kaala ghoda festival, mount Mary church, Bandra sea link, explore Bandra. You can spend good three days with some relax time explore Juhu night clubs and night drive to BKC etc.
Hi Phobe, I'm from Gurgaon, near Delhi and was really disappointed to hear that you had a really bad experience in Delhi, Jaipur and Goa. It would be better if you do not book through a travel agent and stay at decent hotels in all these places. Please do visit India, including Northern India. There is so much to see. However, I agree that you may need to make sure that you have trustworthy people to take you around like you had Anand in Mumbai.

Awesome video Phoebe. Glad you had a good time in Mumbai. I was born in Bombay, but have lived in the U.S for the last 40 years Hopefully you got to wind down, in the next state over Goa? Goa is awesome place to visit, there’s slew of gorgeous beaches there.
Places to eat at in Mumbai:
*1. Elco Pani puri - (area - Bandra west in Mumbai)* -
One of the best Pani puris in town. Very clean & hygienic. They use bottled mineral water to make these. So very safe to eat Pani Puris at this place.
*2. Sardar Pav Bhaaji - (area - Tardeo in Mumbai)* -
The best and the most buttery Paav Bhaaji on Planet Earth.
*3. Bade Miyan - Late night place - is open till 3 am or so (area - near Taj hotel & the Gate way of India in Mumbai)*
A late night place, patrons eat in their cars, but has a seating area as well. Famous for their wraps, Tikkas, Tandooris & barbecued stuff.
*4. Leopold Cafe (area - Colaba causeway in Mumbai)* - Nice beer, barbecues, nice desserts.
*5. Pancham Puriwala - (area - fort in Mumbai)* - 5 types of puris(bread), savory dishes & desserts.
*6. Persian Darbar - (area - Bandra west in Mumbai)*
Famous for their Raan Biryani. Delicious Mughlai cuisine. You'll love it.

*8. Mini Punjab's Lake side - (area Powai in Mumbai)* Need to call and book a thaali(platter) in advance.
Famous for its Dara Singh Thaali - available in both veg & non-veg versions. A must try.
*9. Britannia & co. restaurant - (area - Ballard estate, Fort in Mumbai)*
Famous for its Irani / Parsi cuisine. Awesome Desserts & Sodas.
*10. Anand Stall - (Vile Parle west in Mumbai)*
A fast food joint famous for its awesome Vada Paav, Sandwiches & Dosas.

Wow!! for a one day trip, you did a lot in Mumbai. I visited these places last January and I am 83y old!
good to see you're having a good time in this country
Fell in love with your channel video of Mumbai, and not because of I am from India residing in u.s. , but the most beautiful and important thing that I have witnessed was your down to earth personalities. May God bless you with all happiness and wealthyness with lots of love and blessings 🤗🤗🤗
Absolutely loved this! My husband and I have been filming our travels too, and it's so nice to see other adventurers bringing their own unique storytelling to the table. Thanks for the inspiration!
I've stayed at the Westin Mumbai Powai Lake twice and it's awesome. It's a bit north of Mumbai, but it's a great hotel.
hidden gems in India -
Ladakh and Spiti Valley- some of the best mountains on earth
Andaman Islands- some of the best beaches
Tamil Nadu- some of the best architecture
Western Ghats- some of the best nature and wildlife
North East India- some of the best tribal culture
most known places in India are the worst. best places are all hidden.
Kashmir too, genuinely feel this is the most beautiful place in the world with Ladakh coming a close second.
Didn't understand Why Foreigners visit Delhi Mumbai Agra Rajasthan etc ....Even Indian people never go Their...

literally the worst and unsafe places to go
That tour guide was very sweet and a bit adorable haha i think it was because he's a bit on the older side but oh my god.
Lee."
* Really like you allowing Anand to talk about his own city.
* When next you visit--try the Taj Mahal hotel...wow.

He was nothing short of wonderful! I can’t recommend him highly enough 🙏🏼 oh so good! I truly do love Airalo, it’s the easiest of all the travel esims I’ve tried. Hope you enjoy it too ♥️
Am a Mumbai resident.

I think its better to travel. india in october, november

You enjoyed here because you felt safe and because you didn’t get scammed!

Look to stay in Bandra or Juhu area, which is like the centre of Mumbai.. You won't be dissappointed.

The name of the financial capital of India Mumbai was changed to Bombay in 2025. It was 2026 the government decided to change English name Bombay.
2025 💀?

In Mumbai women can go out at 2 in the night, and feel safe. And it has an energy you cannot miss - its like New York.
You joking right?
