Took my first trip to Barton Saturday/Sunday. Didn't catch anything but very cool place. Found a couple on beds but they weren't quite locked on yet. Had several follow my swimbait to the boat but not hit. Downsized the bait but still nothing. One guy was catching on dropshot out in the middle of the creek, so tried that awhile, too. All in all, incredible sunrises, beautiful days and a good time on the kayak. Not always about catching...sometimes it's just nice to be on the water.
I have never thrown a drop shot in my life😂. Sometimes that’s what it takes though. Barton isn’t easy by any means, it can be really good at times though. Even tougher fishing on the weekends
Definetly like the new style, i was out there today and there were 18 other fishermen, so i went up by the dam and got on a good bite with the dropshot, caught about 10 and biggest was 3.5. I totally think you should come through with that 10 best frogs vid, that would blow up. Keep up these vids tho man, maybe ill run into you out there.
Shhhiitttt I’ve been wanting to make that vid for a while. The only problem is, my list is constantly changing lol. I have one for sure #1 and after that it’s pretty shotty. Definitely need to give it some thought. Good to hear maybe I’ll drop shot a hollow body frog next time I’m out there😂. Town lake on the weekends for me is a big no no. I’ll be floating the Colorado next week, looking for that giant frog bite. Stay tuned man. See u out there
