Ahh yes, thank you, i want to build one with concrete, so its good, and you hit some things of concern, ive built a few now, but not concrete the last one was a 80k fuel bund, a BP one and worked well but it sunk a little. Heated with a waste oil burner to 40 degrees c I can't believe you dug by hand, legend.
I had to Google Fuel Bund! 40c, Nice! That must have required some hot tub chemicals to keep sanitised, What sort of size are you going for your new one, Have you considered ICF?
@@dehenb I used the software to model different shapes and sizes for pools. And also to help calculate the materials. Definitely not needed though. The software is called Blender. I added xpool xps insulation below the concrete base to assist with the thermal properties of the pool.
@@RJ-cc1fz nope, just two coats of standard sand cement render. 2nd coat had a waterproofer in it from Antel. Didn't need Basecrete as it was going onto a more robust solid substrate 👍
Great video can’t wait to see the new pool
Cheers James! Hoping to have the ICF in soon. Video to follow!

Awesome work: saw the other video, overall build.
Thanks 👍 glad you liked it!
Thanks, Rich. Great video. A quickie - what did you need the structural engineer for?
@@buildingsheriff hi, ground condition evaluation for base thickness, wall thickness and steel schedule form walls 👍.
@@RichDoesDIY Great. Thanks.
I noticed you are using a computer modelling system, would you recommend that?
Also you mentioned you plan to use foam base prior to concreting?

Did you use basecrete xtreme on the block pool?

hey what software did you use for the 3d model? is it free?
@@SorteCasas hi, I used Blender, yes it's free !
Not painted blue, who knew?
HaHa... Yeah! May go for a slightly darker shade of grey next time. We shall see!
