Makes my heart hurt that Giancarlo “Gus” was hardly acknowledged.. his acting was absolutely phenomenal!!!
Imo he is the best actor on the show. His acting was every bit as good as Bryan's imo
CeLtiC CroWn I agree
I think he was acknowledged in the better call saul panel which was held prior to this one

@Dick Thick'em ikr? I'm really looking forward to it
I completely agree
Seriously Giancarlo deserved a lot more recognition for his role as Gus!
Andrew /\ H-TOWN u can tell a lot of people weren't real fans they barely clapped for Vince gilligan and more for Bryan and Aaron which I get they were the stars but without Vince none of them would have been possible
go away with negativity. clapping doesnt mean youre a fan. being a fan means youre a fan.
@@whatisthishandlegarbage Which is why I love being a fan. A rotating 3 bladed inanimate object. I am a fan.
stop appropriating fan culture. it's very hurtful to real fans of the show.
@Richter the spoon is the special one. especially if it's from breaking bad
Very disappointed Giancarlo didn’t get any attention. He’s the gravity in the show… He deserves damn near half the credit
They focussed on the meh stuff about Marie but couldn't spend 2 minutes with Gus. What a shame.
Indeed truly disappointed. Gus was the villain of villains there
@@behindthelense5448 true I was just not happy that Gus was not recognised :-( I'm a huge fan of this show I don't know how many times I've watched it lol
@@behindthelense5448 Walter White was very manipulative and selfish. Also betrayed by the gray matter company.
That’s because he was acknowledged on the better called Saul panel that ran before this.
Gustavo is truly underrated. I personally loved his rivalry with the Salamanca Family.
My husband and myself literally named our Chihuahua Lalo Salamanca. We are waiting for our next pet to be named Gustavo Fringe. He is a genius character and he was executive greatly.
@@sauerfamily I named my aggressive bearded dragon Tuco
Those damn Salamancas. I was on Gus's side for that, not gonna lie.
The fact that Walt helped Salamanca get the last laugh and kill Gus is a huge travesty in the show

You can always tell that Aaron misses the show the most. Must feel like being on the highest rollercoaster as a kid and after knowing you'll never ride that high again.
Don't jinx him man!!

Yeah it’s a shame Aaron doesn’t get more big roles especially considering how good his performance in el Camino was he hasn’t lost a beat
No one has a question for Gus Fring himself?!

I would have said
" Explain Yourself?!!!"
Cause he talked the most during Better Call Saul one
I would've asked if he really can cook that Paila marina
Its fucking comic con. 95% of those sweaty losers are there for marvel.
I'm reasonably disappointed that Huell isn't present
Would've been nice for him to see Bill Burr again
He's still in the room
Yes, reasonably
Yep
Lavell and bill would have just taken over and turned it into a standup set
Giancarlo is a LEGEND in my mind and deserves more recognition for his performance of Gus. He was one SCARY bad guy and even when that bomb went off and seeing Gus walk out of the room and straighten his tie, I thought 'This guys never gonna die!!" Next minute......There were so many memorable characters but Gus is the one that stood out for me.
Loved Gus' death scene, best part of Breaking Bad for me! 🔥🙌👏👊💖
That last scream of realization, when Gus spots the bomb beneath Hector's wheelchair, is the icing on the proverbial cake.
summer w is that you in your profile picture ?
I fully agree. His calmness and cleanliness made him actually loud so to speak.
I agree! 😢
Giancarlo was an incredibly important piece of the show, and he’s a phenomenal actor. He was perfect for the part. He deserved more than this.
"Well ya never know, ya know. Uh..."
*All right let's move on"
His antagonism is what made Walt what he was in S5

Vince and Peter are masters of the craft. You can see that with Better Call Saul, aswel

If only GOT had gotten 2 writers who are as competent. Goddamn you, D&D.
Vince is a genius. He also wrote x files back when x files was one of the absolute best shows ever. I grew up on the x files and fell in love with dana Scully from when I was 3 yrs old lol one of my earliest memories tbh
Such a shame not to acknowledge Giancarlo! His acting was literally at the highest level!
Bill did kind of cut him off while he was speaking.
@@stevenrichards3699 i cringed at that
I love that the series never has a single line about Marie liking purple, but every fan could tell you without a moment's hesitation that purple is her favorite color
It would be even funnier is someone said "oh wow, you really like purple huh? Everything you own is purple" and she responds
"Huh, I never noticed that before"
Being colourblind, I did not notice. My girlfriend did, and she did point it out lol
It’s criminal that Giancarlo didn’t get to talk...I hope he knows how much he is loved throughout the show.

Giancarlo Esposito's contribution was completely overlooked. Gus Freng was an incredibly maniacally horrifying character played by a brilliant and consummate actor.

Gus is one of the best characters of BB. He deserves lot more respect
He was absolutely amazing. So menacing every scene he was in.
@Sindematic Pictures Chris Pratt? LOL
@@HugoStiglitz88 underrated by what standard? He’s a primary antagonist in two of the best shows to ever be created, and is the the primary antagonist in the far cry 6. Doesn’t sound underrated to me
Gus needs a prequel out of them all. We see in the show a lot about his past that we know nothing of!!! I’d definitely love to see that and also direct so HMU Vince.
Facts I kinda want to see how his life was in Chile because when the cartel killed his friend they said they knew who he was so he must’ve been someone important. Or just how he ran his business before Walt or even before better call Saul because he’s in that show too.
@@JohnnyBandicas exactly bro like when hank was looking into his past in Chile he couldn’t find anything like who was he in Chile and how did he get from being “trash” to who he was.
I’d rather there be a Salamanca prequel that maybe hints at gus somehow. I’m just not sure if there’s an actor that can pull off a young Gus. It could feature a young mike, since he already knew all about the salamancas right from the beginning of better call Saul. Plus we would get to see how mike became a dirty cop.
We get enough prequel of him in Better Call Saul I don’t know what more you want of him. He’s a good character but he can be dry sometimes
So I personally feel a Gus prequel could go 1 of 2 ways. Either it'd be too similar a show as it would just be Breaking Bad with Gus in Walt's shoes, or it'd be mostly business meetings and cartel dealings and not all that interesting. I'm of the opinion that Gus is perfect as he is in BB and more information about him would ruin his character or be generally unsatisfying to watch. All of the best, most dramatic moments of his life are in BB
Giancarlo's acting was just unbelieavable, and the same goes to Odenkirk

This detail is actually pretty interesting.
At the beginning of season 1, Jessie calls himself "Cap'n cook". This is of course a play on "captain hook", but it could also have something to do with the historical captain james cook, who also ended up being murdered horribly. This could have been foreshadowing for something that never ended up happening.

sign if respect.. theres no way they gonna out Betsy there if She's the least talented or even the younger Walter Jr.. thats why Gus on it..
He was the only one on the panel who never actually got to speak.
Wish we got to hear more from every member of the panel, besides Bryan and Vince. Vince being the show's creator, and Bryan being the driving force of the plot, it makes sense they would get the most attention, but I genuinely wanted to hear more from Anna, Betsy, Bob, RJ, Dean, Bob, and Giancarlo. Even Aaron got a relatively small amount of air time. As Vince iterates many times throughout, it really is a spectacular cast. In a perfect world they would have enough time to discuss the show and its cast at length.
I love how Aaron always looks at Bryan when he finds smth funny. Almost as if to laugh with Bryan. The bromance is strong man
Yeah they even run a business together now.
Yeah Mr. White!
People intuitively look toward those with whom they have the strongest bond in a group when they laugh. This is true, and now when you're with friends and family, you'll catch yourself doing it.
This body language fact brought to you by a guy who reads too much.
@@BoringpenguinYea Science!
Their friendship is too beautiful 🥰🥰❤❤
Giancarlo's acting as Gus terrified me. he always had a very kind, caring demeanor, he was polite. but when he handled business, he kept the same demeanor. he was really quiet. never raised his voice once except right before his death. but even after that, his body language, his facial expressions, were really intimidating, and that in itself is pretty scary. he didn't say a word for the whole time on the episode he killed Victor, silently looking at Walter and Jesse, not a word. never changing his face. even after being drenched with the blood of his own works, he silently cleaned himself, dressed for work, and before leaving, said 4 words: "Get back to work." you know he was very angry with Walt and hated the fact that he couldn't touch him. but you can't read his face. that was terrifying for me. cheers to Giancarlo Esposito for a great performance. deserved more recognition.
Not to nitpick but i do think of one time he raised his voice. When he killed Don Eladio but yo if you finally kill your enemy you've had for years you'd get loud too lmaoo
What he said
How’s the lumbago?
It is really hard to believe that a man like Giancarlo who is always smiling when not acting can put on such an amazing performance.
Agreed. After rewatching the series several times, I've decided that for me, Gus is definitely the most terrifying of them all.
I want to know why they didn’t give Giancarlo time to talk he’s literally a legend in my book‼️‼️
Apparently it's because he talked a lot in the BCS panel that happened before this one
That stage is too small for this show! Every actor deserves a standing ovation for their outstanding performances. Never seen any serious so ridiculously acted well. Masterpiece 🤘
Giancarlo created one of the greatest villians on t.v. Ever!!!
He'd be second, to me It's Benjamin Linus from Lost.
@@nived_4558 it's literally a name that's not even a spoiler
he wasn’t a villain
The end of season 4 shows that Walt is just as much of a villain as Gus. Gus is so in humane that he kills a child for business, and the lily of the valley reveal shows that Walt is just as evil and also a villain as he also hurts a child
Amen
Aaron Paul lugging around his child like a sack of potatoes is the funniest thing.

Lmao!!! Aaron Paul’s baby with the little gas mask 😷!!! I was dying 🤣

Vince Gilligan’s attitude toward telling a good story is a huge part of the reason the show was as fantastic as it was. He isn’t going for headlines about his plot twist or crazy revelations, but to tell a story for the enjoyment of the people.
That’s part of the key to Breaking Bad’s success and the fantastic acting, filming, and direction of the cast and crew
I was hoping to see Gus answer a question
Duh Man yeah sucks that he barely talked
If you watch the Better Call Sual one he does a lot more

Why? So he can tell the same story....how the description of his character was "a bad guy hiding in plain sight" inspired him to act a certain way....again? Heard it like 10 times on various YT interviews.
