Shows that have definite ending are the ones that are the best. I am so glad Vince Gilligan recognized when it should've ended. If it dragged on, it would have suffered (looking at you, The Walking Dead...). Seriously one of the greatest shows of all time
schradester8 Well, I don’t think Walking Dead is a fair comparison. Don’t get me wrong, the show sucks, but it’s always had shitty episodes that outweigh any good moments the series has had. The show was a 6 during its first season, but as AMC showed their true colors the show was rapidly on the decline. Worse is that it became a success and convinced AMC that their route was the right one. Not only that, the show was meant to go back and forth by adapting certain moments of the comics while going in its own direction. That was Darabont’s plan. Now it’s used to stretch the show as far as they can.
EvelioandZgroup I guess I just miss the days of Season 5 and before. Those seasons had crappy moments but it still took risks. Now all of the characters that die, I don't care about, except Glenn, and at that point I was just pissed off. I quit watching it last year and am all the better for it. I actually watched BB only last october. Glad I invested time into that, instead of TWD.
Funny how you used Walking Dead as an example, and 4 years later the show is still going being on its 11th Season, and well passed its 150th episode. I mean people have been asking: "Is that show still on?" in regards to TWD for half a decade now... Makes me somewhat sad as I was rather fond of the show up until they killed Glenn. Moreover I also think it's somewhat funny that the Breaking Bad universe (Better Call Saul and El Camino) has 11 seasons and well over a 100 episodes, but it just feels so much more natural than TWD. With every episode and season trying to have a point rather than just pad the run time.
Death Note suffered from that too. When L dies the confrontation he had with Kira ends and this was an essential part of the plot. From this the rest of the anime doesn't feel the same.
When I first saw the BB finale and that Badfinger song began to play at the end I had goosebumps that wouldn't go away. How can this show be topped? It was perfection. Also, I think Better Call Saul is outstanding.
@@fro_e agreed. Also the Jeff recast really threw me off, the new actor was good but I know that really confused a lot of people when it first happened and people didn’t even realise it was supposed to be the same character, which if I didn’t watch BCS breakdown videos on RUclips at the time I probably wouldn’t have noticed either because he does have a very different face. I kinda wish they would go back and edit the scenes from the earlier seasons and swap the Jeff actor for the new one for continuity reasons. Although I’m not totally opposed to the theory that Jimmy/Gene saw him that way because in his mind he was scarier than he actually was and then once he realised how harmless and gullible Jeff really was the way he saw him completely changed.
@@DylanHart8yeah to completely recast a non-child actor in this BB/BCS universe was very off-brand and confusing, should’ve just scrapped the idea of Saul dragging some random into his schemes and just found a new guy to go with. The finale was very interesting but not as iconic as BB’s. Overall a very worthwhile show and I hope they leave the IP alone now before another Slippin’ Jimmy cartoon is made
Anthony Perrin eh, I think it’s good and definitely one of the most important shows of all time for changing the landscape in television to not only be taken seriously but considered on par with film if not, done right, better. Still, pretty good. 8/10.
EvelioandZgroup 8/10??? are you kidding me??? i don’t think i’ve read anything more ridiculous in my entire life. I mean everybody is entitled to an opinion but that’s just wrong. Breaking bad is without a doubt a 10/10. The greatest tv show of all time bar none. If some people want to wangle it down to a 9 i incredibly, massively, categorically disagree but ok. 8 out of 10 is unforgivable.
stopping the video to say... I have explained Breaking Bad as the best TV show I have ever watched in my entire life. Everytime I say that to someone, they look at me with a lot of skepticism. And even I, hearing myself say that, want to doubt it. But after a short bit of reflection, I absolutely stand by that statement. Breaking Bad, is by far, the best television has ever gotten.
@@jacobprice4311 Until Breaking Bad came along, yes. Not anymore. It's very up and down in comparison to how tight and focused Breaking Bad is. I finished a rewatch of both recently and Sopranos shows its age. That alone doesn't devalue it, but Breaking Bad's conclusion is more satisfying, more gripping, and far more heartbreaking from certain characters' pov. However I'll admit without Sopranos, Breaking Bad wouldn't exist as we know it.
Breaking Bad is the best tv show ever written in terms of the character motivations from episode 1 to the last ever episode of the show. The final episode is tv at it's finest and purely brilliant.
I've been waiting for a channel like this for a long time! Vince Gilligan is a super genius and breaking bad is the best show on earth, Loving Better Call Saul as well.
Did the people who sent questions in via social media even WATCH the friggin show?? "Why does Walt let Jane die?" "Why does Walt poison Brock?" seriously? okay, I can maaaaaaybe give you the first one as open to SOME interpretation, but the Brock thing, it takes awhile to get there, but eventually it's very clearly explained.
the answer to both of those questions is because Jane was a force in making Jessie disloyal and threatened to blackmail him and he poisoned brock in order to frame Gus to get Jessie on his side.
It is amazing, many years ago, I watched Upstairs Downstairs and it was mind blowing then comes Downton Abbey which blows it away. Then there was the Sopranos which was fantastic then comes Breaking Bad which blows it away. Amazing that things get so much better.
I imagine Jesse as happy and living somewhere that is the opposite of New Mexico. I picture him in Alaska working on a fishing boat and building furniture or something. I think his character went through hell and deserves to be happy. I agree with Vince.
2024, very, very late to the BB universe. What can I say but...BRILLIANT! Have now watched BCS and El Camino. There's room for another movie or series or something after El Camino. If only. The whole "where did the show come from, how did you pitch it" thing? I'm happy to keep watching this thing, but I gotta be honest this ain't an encouraging start.
I feel the same. They ask the same questions in all the interviews involving “how was it done? ” and “how long did it take?”. I think super fans and theorist should be asking questions and Vince could really give what it is to him. If it’s more “blunt” and no what we as the people want to hear, us creating among fans can bring it to more than what’s an paper. Basically what I’m saying is we should study this and philosophize about it among all other great lasting literature of history..

To get their thoughts and reactions to it makes it new all over again to me. Have you been watching Better Call Saul? Its own entity and definitely on par with BB for me.
"I like having written" is not an original Gilligan line. If he said it, he was repeating an old writer's saw that one can hear if one listens to the great Writers Guild interviews (now available on RUclips) with earlier screenwriters, most of whom do say that writing is an ordeal but having done it is very satisfying. It's an old line. Study up, interviewer.
My question is how "should" one watch or perceive the show any show like with the creator's vision in mind or open for anyone's eye of perspective? I am literally asking for like is optimism exist for art type of things? Anyone with the answer please answer it.very much open to see your thoughts.
Thank God, they could not carry on with Tuco, he was just a madman and not interesting as a character. Gus was always riveting to watch and a great evil but intelligent character unlike Tuco !
So no matter how long it has been. No matter all the new stuff you create mr Gilligan, we are waiting for more from Breaking Bad universe. Get creative. Maybe Walt left a tape for Jesse and a mystery? Maybe Brock gets in trouble, or Mike's Kayla does, and in desperation that set out feelers for Jesse and help! Being back these characters, one more time ! We aren't pushy... we will wait... just don't say NEVER.
Vince Gilligan is just such a damn likable guy. Just a LEGIT good guy. Amirite?

1:03:48 Ha ha ha ha haha
Holy shit, that was SAVAGE by Chris. Hahaha
Reverse purge lol 😂
Chris needs to talk as little as possible. Lord.
20:26 any1 else think that he's referencing LOST?
yep
"I like having written" is not an original Gilligan line. If he said it, he was repeating an old writer's saw that one can hear if one listens to the great Writers Guild interviews (now available on RUclips) with earlier screenwriters, most of whom do say that writing is an ordeal but having done it is very satisfying. It's an old line. Study up, interviewer.
Vince is great! But let us all take a moment to appreciate that the host is also pretty smart and is asking genuinely good questions.
Rarely seen a channel that gets 800 followers before his first week is ended
43:02 The fly episode
"Jesse there is a contamination" 🗿
Chris Hardwick is one of the best hosts in the world. I love him!
GOAT
What happened to Jesse- 38:22
My question is how "should" one watch or perceive the show any show like with the creator's vision in mind or open for anyone's eye of perspective?
I am literally asking for like is optimism exist for art type of things?
Anyone with the answer please answer it.very much open to see your thoughts.
Fart in milk
no one gonna mention that dudes name was courtney?
Love Vince Gilligan.
Hate Chris Hardwick. Douche is insufferable.
I like him
Wait what. Hes great. Loved him doing Talking Bad
Chris Hardwick is the illest host ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! His best work since The Minstrel Show!!!!
I didn't know Vince liked Rick and Morty lol.
I still find Chris Hardwick really hard to like... Kind of insufferable.
Shut up, Chris!
Le him talk!!!
Thank God, they could not carry on with Tuco, he was just a madman and not interesting as a character. Gus was always riveting to watch and a great evil but intelligent character unlike Tuco !
cant wait for better call saul season 4
4 weeks sir.
Vince was so falsely modest throughout this interview
I hate this host/moderator. He spends too much time talking about his opinions. The only opinions I care about are from Vince.
by saying "my name's Brandon, I'll be quick, so, haha" doesn't make it quick.
british , hey quality over quantity
So no matter how long it has been. No matter all the new stuff you create mr Gilligan, we are waiting for more from Breaking Bad universe. Get creative. Maybe Walt left a tape for Jesse and a mystery? Maybe Brock gets in trouble, or Mike's Kayla does, and in desperation that set out feelers for Jesse and help!
Being back these characters, one more time ! We aren't pushy... we will wait... just don't say NEVER.
I think chris hardwicke has cloned himself many times over. One person cant possibly host these many shows
Your voice reminds me of Elon Musk's if I didn't see your face.
They sound nothing alike
