The fact that we've accepted it as a fact and aren't even mad about the time delay it makes this even better-
One thing that I would really enjoy to see if a kind of What If? but in the dsmp. We know that a few times in the lore, most notably during the election, the chat has been able to decide what happens to the plot. But we will never know what would have happened if something different had happened in the lore. One that I would like to see is if Coconut won the election. I feel like this could be a really funny stream idea and it would be cool to see more lore from people who are sometimes pushed aside, like fundy and Nikki
I agree! Every once in a while I wonder what would’ve happened to L’Manberg or C!Wilbur and c!tommy if they either didn’t have an election or had actually won. What is Quackity actually ended up as president? Or if L’Manberg never survived the war at all. There’s so much room for content and theory here.

I have been watching dream smp the second tommyinnit made his first dream smp video i stopped watching when they revived wilbur
A really far fetched theory but could be a really cool idea, would be the egg coming back more powerful than before and causing chaos. With it influencing people and leaving the world in a dystopian future.
Season 2 could be in the near future with new characters appearing in a destroyed world left searching for answers, with old characters referenced, pretty much like the lost city of mizu. If it was based in the near future those who survived the eggs attack could appear and help the new characters.
Like I said, it’s really far fetched but could make for a cool storyline.
So your saying is that we could, in your theory, could get a deeper look into the future of the city of Mizu.
Ever since the Tales of the SMP I had always wanted that they re explored that concept, because it would be very interesting.
Say that the new characters have some kind of relation to the old characters, their may be come kind of interesting conflict and relationships that may have never been explored before.
I'm pretty sure the egg is gonna be one of those things that when everybody forgets about it they're gonna bring it back in some epic way

The egg, a fight between tommy and dream…… possibly DreamXD comes. This is going to be epic
Theory 1: The finale of the smp could be that the egg hatches, and the smp is not able to contain or kill the beast that is inside of it (most likely an ender dragon) and have to flee to the end or the nether where the beast cannot reach.
Theory 2: The finale could be a duel between Dream and Tommy, with the other members of the server helpless and not knowing what to do in their fight. The egg storyline could end up in season 2, as season 2 could be an alternate universe/ a universe ahead of this universe (time wise) and karl from the current storyline could team up with the karl in the season 2 storyline and defeat a bigger villain.
theory 2 seems more plausible, hence i wrote more but please add more theories by replying to this message
I was actually thinking that there could be 3 things that could cause the world-ending phenomenon in the DSMP. And to clarify, they said everyone will have different relationships and such, so it would either be that they forgot all about S1 or all of their old characters "died" and became new characters. Obviously, S1 & S2 will probably still be connected, but maybe not in the character way. Anyways, here are my theories:
Theory 1: The egg. The egg caused many problems like being able to mind control people. I agree with what you said on how there could be some type of beast in the egg. This could result to the end of the world.
Theory 2: The egg and DreamXD are connected. In one of Foolish's streams from a while back, DreamXD encountered Foolish, but he wasn't his normal self. DreamXD told Foolish that he was losing power. We never got the answer on why, but it did seem way too important to pass off. And around that time, the egg vines were growing back again, which seems that no matter what or how its destroyed, the egg will revive itself again. And we can assume that it will come back twice as stronger. Maybe it wasn't a coincidence about the timing? Maybe DreamXD protects the world, but the egg is the only thing that could stop DreamXD and destroy the world?
Theory 3: C!Karl. C!Karl is able to time travel, but we could clearly see that he is gradually getting affected by it. And there are the two worlds that he has to choose/go through from his time traveling. Maybe by completing whatever he needs to do, he breaks a universe or opens something through his time travel? Or maybe when completing something he has to do, he mistakes his original world for another world, which could break his original world/universe?
Theory 4: The end. This is the biggest factor that I think is most likely than all of the other theories. It might be connected to one of these theories, or it might not. But reason why I believe the end is the most likely theory to happen is because nobody could go through it. There had to be some big part for it not to be accessible. And I have two ways that they could maybe use the end to destroy the world. 1 being that the ender dragon spawns, and it's way too powerful. 2 being that opening the end portal is actually dangerous. Opening the end portal would/could be like having a black hole, but on earth.
Anyways, here is a long essay on my theories lmao. If y'all have anything to add, then please share your thoughts! :)

I really hope the egg just changes stuff and doesn't kill everyone, it feels too sudden and the only way to go from their would be new characters and it would be pretty hard to build new characters in a world where everyone is being killed by the egg
I do think it's something with the egg though cos I think that would be super cool I just don't think it will kill everyone
I think it would be cool if the egg created a new dimension or something maybe it could banish people to that dimension too
Also maybe something will happen with Tommy and dream like people theorized back during egg lore especially with what tommy said

In my head, I imagine a new universe/world in which everyone has a new character unrelated from the previous ones. I don't know what this new universe would be like, but I have one thing in mind. Before the time of any of the characters in this new universe, there was one man. A legendary warrior whose cunning, wit, bravery, and abilities in duels as well as wars, both political and combative, is unmatched. Nobody knows who he truly was, but history has given him a name so that his legacy will forever endure.
*His name was The Blade.*
I would really love if they mention Techno in the new season
One theory that would be cool is that the time traveler discoveres that millions of years ago the people that habited the earth we're gods and demi gods that one of them is foolish, dream xD and some other new character? Idk.. And one of the old gods gets glitched into the time travel and helps kill the monster inside the egg... would be cool to see something like that

I'm really excited for the server to get a fresh start. I would also like it if they went down an Empires SMP s2 type thing, with new characters and story, and some easter eggs and flashbacks/visions. I think a reset to the world would be good, since DSMP has been ongoing for about 4 "seasons", making it hard for new people and new storylines to take the spotlight. I also am really happy the members seem excited about this new growth.
I like the idea of the Egg finally becoming a massive thing, possibly the end of the DSMP. I have two theories though.
Theory 1: Hear me out, but I kind of had a dream about this. Weird I know. but after the announcement, I had a dream about the end of DSMP. Within the dream, a massive cataclysmic event happened, destroying the world. Because of this, allies and enemies united. Everyone tried their best to fight it, but they were no use, so they decided to make a portal, going to a new world. In the process though, Tommy is badly injured, but Dream says he'll take care of him, and tells everyone to go through the portal. Dream destroys the portal though and fights the thing, defeating it, but getting gravely wounded in the process. He sits on the bench where he left Tommy, and they speak to each other in their last dying breaths. Dream thanks Tommy for coming to the server, making it everything he wanted it to be; and Tommy thanks Dream, saying he was happy Dream allowed him to be a hero. They both die on the bench as the sunsets.
In the dream, I don't get to see the others once they got through the portal, but I imagine there was also some heartbreak there. I think an ending like this would be cool, though it would do against the age-old war between Tommy and Dream, so I can see how it probably won't happen. But I do like the idea of Tommy and Dream dying in some way, and the others having to escape through the portal for some reason.
Theory 2: Tommy and Dream do get into a great battle, with two sides clashing with one another. Dream and Tommy end up poetically killing each other, and when each side finds the bodies of their fallen allies, they realise the mistakes of what they have done. They agree to start anew, in a world where there are no sides or wars. They go through the portal, taking these new values with them. But that might not last very long.
I really like both these theories, and to go with the new character thing, we can have there for a 100 or 200 years time skip, possibly making some of the new people descendants of the previous people. Maybe there's even a museum, created by Tubbo, to tell of the previous stuff of the old SMP. Perhaps to go with the second theory, some members of the new cast occasionally mention during arguments, battles, and wars the pact the people of the past made. You know, lore. Maybe in The New Saga (I'm personally calling it that), we have an already established small village to act as neutral ground, like a community village type thing.
Either way, I'm really excited for this seeing as I'm newer to the fandom, and ready to see what new stories there can be.
Sad thing is that a bunch of people will probs stop playing like Phil and Wilbur since they have been giving their valuables away to ppl to keep safe and Connor being sent to Limbo with friend
It will never be the same without Technoblade RIP it makes sense they have to do a Full Reset it’s because Technoblade was such a big part of season 1 without him they can’t continue the story

That's somewhat what I was thinking of! Would really love to see the Egg utilized more in the story. It has potential, and could drive the server apart. Pushing people against each other and giving more conflict and tension. Would be super cool

I think dream mentioned that he didnt really know what techno was planning for lore but his family may chose to do a charity related event for that. Other than that phil has talked about his last build and the plans techno had but i feel like itd be really hard to end the arc of someone who cant finish it for themself. I think its possible like phils character might mention technos character in lore to try to provide some sort of closure or do something in honour of him and his character but other than that theres not much they can do i think

i hope season 2 can be a great chance for new / underated people to get a taste in the spotlight.
as for lore, we did get told there was a multiverse, dream XD could be more than just a god of 1 dream smp.
my overall depiction of dream XD and the dream smp multiverse is pictured as some taking care of a fruit tree.
that tree being the dream smp, with the growing of its branches being the main timeline.
as it grows eventually another seed is made within fruit, representing a change to the main story.
Dream XD plucks it out and decides either to throw it, or plant it, seeing where it could go...
season 2 could be depicted as an early branch to the main timeline
just one thing to say that minecraft wont be the same anymore without technoblade
A random cool idea: The Dsmp starts with Karl, or somebody going through time or something.
They mess it up, and therefore it creates Season 2. Same faces, different characters. And this person was also altered, therefore not remembering that they messed it up.
And that would be cool to have little references to Season 1 by that character, and them just being confused. Like: Wait, whats L'Manburg and how do I know that name?
Another thing:
Season 1 ending (what they could do for it):
Something happens, blah blah blah. But then, at the end, DreamXD just decides to reset. For some reason, whether to preserve Dream, because he's bored, or something else- DreamXD resets the Dsmp. Everybody falls out of the world, dying.
Season 2. Same DreamXD, same faces from season 1, new characters and stuff.
Sadly we lost a very amazing member who litteraly basically made the dream smp more full of lore. RIP Techno, Rest Well King

I don’t understand why they decided to call it season two when it clearly isn’t season two. Granted, the Dream SMP hasn’t had a definitive statement before on what starts and ends seasons, but there are very easy points in the timeline where you can separate the server into seasons.
Season 1 is basically the start where Tommy joins in, and can stretch between Lmanburg’s emancipation and the Pogtopia war end (Wilbur blowing it up).
Following either of those time stamps, we have the time between Tubbo’s presidency and the final death of Lmanburg with Doomsday and the mountain confrontation for the discs.
After that, we get the mess that is the story afterward, which has way too many plot threads and could possibly stretch across multiple seasons, but for the sake of a standard, it ends with Wilbur’s departure.
What they’re planning here is a SEQUEL SERIES. It’s not a second season. It’s a new world, with fresh story arcs, and new main characters being brought in after the old plotline has been put to rest.
This whole smp thing has been going on for three years. Calling all that just season one is just dumb.
I just realized something too bad no one was near the end portal when the nuke was going off cuz they could have broke the rule they could jump in the end while the whole world blew up
Uhhh but that happened Phil, Niki and The Goddess of Death went through to save themselves from the nuke and Tubbo said that the nuke would only cover the entire Dream SMP not the whole world so Las Nevadas, Technos Hut, Foolish’s Base, Cyberswords Temple, and Sams Home

I feel like dream and Tommy will be forced to work together in order to stop tubbo. Because keep in mind tubbo still has one nuke left and we have yet to get dreams backstory. The world altering event most likely could be tubbo using that last nuke to blow something up what exactly we don't know

I think it could be possibly a limbo series

Here is my theory (it’s very far fetched)
Dream taunts tommy by making him relive his worst memories. One of them is lmanburg destruction. Tommy gets so emotional and in his fantasy, and then in the smp he completely rolls the world back into the pre doomsday war world

i think it would be cool if in season two the characters don’t reset but rather forget what happened in season 1, and a big plot point would be them getting their memories back. imagine dream and tommy or quackity regaining their memories, that would be insane.

Maybe the egg will infect most of the SMP and force all of the surviving players into the end portal which would have obviously been prepared by dream before the stream for lore and so that they don't just go to the regular end and fight the dragon

The thing that was lacking in S1 was the lack of POVs like I wanna see someone elses POV of what happened, so I think S2 would be a great season cause EVERYONE has to stream...EVEN DREAM HIMSELF

I know that the Dream SMP will never be the same without Technoblade. However, I do wish that those who were guests of Dream SMP, such as Corpse Husband, KSI, Pokimane, and etc, will be members of the Dream SMP. And I also wish that Dream invites some of the Lifesteal SMP members.
