After you cook this product roll it up in a warm flour tortilla and have a breakfast burrito with a little salsa
My son purchased one of those for me today, as well as the ultimate and all American scrambles and am pretty impressed with them for what they are. He was comparing them with the Jimmy Dean's that are similar, but we're chock-ful of junk and was smart of him to choose these instead. Got them at Walmart and we're a $1.98, which is reasonable and saw them online for $2.50 at target
Thank you for such a great and honest review !!! I was so excited when you and Tami bought these in your haul to see what you thought ... I'm anxious to hear your review of the other flavors. Thank you very much again Kevin
When reviewing products like this it is pointless to mention that you can do it cheaper on your own, part of the cost is the convenience of not doing it on your own. One thing I love about this product is the individually packaged ingredients inside, if you are cutting down on carbs for example you can skip the potatoes and still get a quick scramble.
They look good. $2.49 is still cheaper than leaving work and grabbing takeout. Would be best to try and catch them on sale if you don't want to buy all the stuff to make your own little mini scambles. Also, I saw on the package while you were spinning it around that it said if you used 2 eggs. I would definitely rather have 2 eggs in the scramble and add a bit of pepper or hot sauce when mixing. Thanks for the reveiw.
It doesn't say to use two eggs? The different nutritional facts were As Packaged, and As Prepared (adding one egg)
I works great with 2 eggs! But you could make your own from scratch for much cheaper...
@silvereagle9000 Yes it does - it says, and I quote "If preparing with 2 large eggs or 2 egg whites, follow the above directions, except increase the second microwave time to 50 sec."
@@silvereagle90000 You can use two eggs in these I do all the time.
@@saliston Oh, yeah. The directions are at 1:00
I just tried the ultimate and the Denver both taste good. Quick egg breakfast with goodies and no cleanup. Love it.
I love these things! Cheap considering its fresh ingredients and tastes great!
LOL. These aren't fresh.
@@miyako1909 Fresh enough when you have a busy morning schedule.
Its NOT a refrigerated meal....its just beside the eggs to make it easier to find....and I LOVE IT !!! i take an egg and a cup with me and after getting my choice of drink at station, I prepare it and pop it in their microwave...breakfast on the run!!!! Awesome stuff Ore Ida !!!!
Just ate one and it was delicious. I kept it in the microwave longer and it was very good
I have been seeing the commercials for these and was curious. 1st video of yours I have watched. Great review with the level of detail I was looking for. And yeah - I agree you could probably just throw this together yourself for less but not the worst idea mass market food has come up with!
EmpressVes this is meant for people who don’t have the time to put it together themselves and need a quick meal on their way to school or work. If I had the time to do the prep work I wouldn’t need to buy it
Just Crack and Egg has my vote. I use 2 eggs and cook a few seconds extra. Tastes great for a quick breakfast or lunch.
My biggest problem with this product is that you literally don’t just crack an egg. You have to open 3 individual pouches, crack the egg, stir, zap for bit, stir again, then zap more. Plus add seasoning because why not. Anyways, definitely just buy a bunch of cubed ham or sausage plus veggies and use a coffee mug 👍🏼
are you that lazy?
Cry me a river, big baby
I have tried these. It is good.
I love this one and the ultimate scramble. When I make these I use 2 eggs and pepper.
These are amazing
I love these things
I would buy this one time and then just reuse the cup and pack my own ingredients.
SoTweetie Not a good idea cause over time the cup will break down after been used alot so better off on using a microwaveable coffee cup and make it yourself.
just use a coffee mug
Just use a bowl
did yall ever heard of college students
Kind of a waste of money don't you think just start out using a bowl. Hell you can buy a Bowl at the dollar store and still have a buck and a half left.
I love egg scrambles :) I agree though, it works out pricey just for a tiny bit more convenience.
Kate Westley it’s actually a huge convenience for those of us who don’t have time for breakfast at all and are on a tight schedule in the mornings. This is the first breakfast item I have found that actually works for my husband and I when I don’t have time to make our usual sit down breakfast and have to eat on the run. It’s a lot better than eating granola bars on the run and if you can find them cheaper it’s well worth it in the time it saves us. This is made for busy lifestyles. Obviously if you are not in a rush in the morning there is not as much need for it, but for us it is very much worth it and still cheaper than grabbing breakfast outside
I guess if you had time the night before or morning of you could mix everything together but the egg and put some aluminum foil over it and take in the egg separate. Edit- I hit enter before watching in full, exactly what i was trying to say put them in your own dish Great review Kevin!
I agree $2.50 is a bit much and he did say it in the video at the end. Better off slicing some cheese, eggs, pepper onions and bring the egg to work. Zap it in a cup. Cost would be most likely be 75 cents! But people are lazy and in a hurry and would pay $2.50 for 75 cents worth of stuff.
Just now hearing of this. Good as a grab and go for work. I'd bring toast.
AMAZING
Your review is spot on pretty much.
Matter of taste I think it has enough salt for such a small meal but I do think it just needs pepper put in it for sure.
Appreciate the review. Just seen the commercial today, had no idea all the ingredients were packed separately.
These are hella bomb...I eat these for breakfast w/ oatmeal often..
That looks good
$1.98 at Walmart
Got for 1.20 at foodsco/food4less was on special
99cents only, in LBC.
@@jennvalenzuela8852
Where is LBC? Long Beach, California?
Interesting meal, great vid as always
Glad you enjoyed it!
@@LunchtimeReview my pleasure
they also have sauage, where I live they are only 99 cent. so , you can't beat it.
Petite43 Yeah you can you can beat the egg.
where do u live. i pay 2.50 to 3.75
I like them when I travel. If I'm going to be in a hotel for 4-7 days I'll go buy a few at Walmart for $1.98ea. and a half dozen eggs. I use 2 eggs and leave the cheese for the end. After eggs and other ingredients are cooked I'll put cheese on top, microwave for 30 sec, let melt and enjoy. About 3 minutes total. Thanks for your video.
Excellent review.....agree with your assessment and most of the good follow-on comments. But aside from the cost and significant plastic crap.....at “oh dark thirty” and 5 below with a driveway to snowblow and shovel.....this provided a nice, convenient, tasty AND hot meal to get me going with some coffee. I have done these “homemade” before using a mug...but as I use two eggs, add either a little mayo, olive oil, cream or butter....and significantly more ingredients, mine are significantly more tasty, filling and more calorie rich and fattening. So aside from the guilt over the damned plastic heading for a landfill, I thought it “pretty good”. I’m training for an Appalachian Trail through hike this spring....and really watching my calories to further reduce my weight....at 64, I don’t burn ‘em like I used to.....still, I’m kinda wondering the impact of adding two eggs.....aside from additional 72 calories. Bravo Zulu on this video, amigo!
My mother makes these Southwestern/ Denver omelets they're incredible homemade and you could feed an army with a dozen eggs and the extras. Plus they will hold for a day or so and they're still delicious if your looking for convenience like this little bowl.
Thanks for the video, saw this product in the weekly flyer & figured I’d check the web to see if it was worth buying. Your review gave me a great impression, and I think I’ll take a pass.
Thank you for the video I haven’t tried this yet but it seems like a good idea and the best part is you get a fresh eggs and not eggs that are from God only knows where. You should have put a pinch of salt in the beginning just a pinch this is more convenient no washing egg dishes
Actually if all the ingredients were already in there and you just had to crack the egg and stir and then do it, that right there would be worth it, but you can take the same ingredients and put them in a ramekin and do it for cheaper. I'm just saying.
The guy making the video said the same thing :) i also agree btw. I think these are more of an office convenience
I bought these for 99 cents at my local 99 cent only store
It seems pricey but Anne Tomlinson is right about it being cheaper than take-out. I also think it could be beneficial with portion control and tracking food for weight loss.
you have to realized the potatoes and peppers are already cooked. The short cooking time in the microwave is not long enough to cook them. So you will need to take time to cook those ingredients. So actually this saves time and money.
Thank you for the video it was very useful.
It does not seem very convenient. Seems like you could almost buy all the ingredients separately and make the same concept a lot cheaper. I think it's also funny how you still have to provide the egg. 270 calories plus the calories of the egg. Not sure but I think a egg is somewhere between 70 and 80 calories. That would be terrible if the egg broke while you were taking your lunch/breakfast to work
Mega Gaming Plus you can just keep a carton of eggs at work. I rather have the freedom to choose what kind of egg to use or whether I want a whole egg or egg whites or for those who use egg beaters rather than have some powder rubber egg that comes from who knows where. I would prepare this as I’m heading out the door to work to eat on the go rather than taking it to work to prepare there. It works for people who don’t have time to make breakfast in the mornings and need something protein packed that’s still an actual meal that can be made quickly before heading out the door. That’s what this is made for. This is the first breakfast item that works for my husband and I who are constantly on the go
At my walmart these are $1.98 I use them with 2 eggs and it makes a great little breakfast. The water is added to make the eggs fluff.
Good review ,I am always looking for an easy quick mid-day meal that is at least a little healthy $2.50 is a bit steep for what comes in that little bowl ,if they go on sale I will try them .I actually have not seen them yet in the store .It better than grabbing a breakfast sandwich .
Just tried it, a tess twice as mush would be great ..salt pepper some garlic spread more cheese..wonderful
It looks like a nice product, having everything portion controlled and ready to cook. I think I would prefer to cook it in my little non-stick "egg" pan, though, perhaps with a bit of ghee. I'm not so keen on the microwave oven. The alternative would be to prepare little tubs of these ingredients and then use them throughout the week, which isn't a bad idea, either.
Honestly no need to - you can buy McCain flash frozen veggies of your choice (like roast veg, or sweetcorn/carrots/peas etc) as will as freeze a ziploc bag of cherry tomatoes and a cured sausage like cabanossi. When you're ready just dump all the ingredients in a mini sauce pan (3-4 inch depth and diameter) along with 2 eggs. Breakfast done in by the time it takes to brew coffee and it is preservative free.
For the money, At Walmart you can get a Jimmy Dean Bowl, twice the size of this, that is frozen with egg, meat cheese and potatoes for $2.00. Takes 2 minutes, then peel plastic and cook 1 more minute. Way better. If you want more sophisticated, they make a Premium bowl for $3.00 that has stuff like peppers, chorizo, cilantro etc - and so does Moe's Southwest Grill. For me it is worth the extra buck, and the Moe's is extraordinary. All in the same size bowl.
mmm tastes just like the omelette at Denver Airport
Ken, they are only $1.00 now. Good review.
Thank you will pass this one up.
I would try that
Two eggs and some bread and this makes a nice filing breakfast
I wonder why the Denver review is so much more popular than the others.
Exactlykrakus polish ham from the deli (low sodium),eggs, bell pepper, sharp cheddar and fresh butter,I like challenge ,add pepper, yummy
I've tried 2 so far and thought they were great.
On the bottom of the cup it does say add 2 eggs when I bought some
Where did you purchase this at?
Where you buy
I love these 'Just-Crack-An-Egg' cups! However, the Denver Scramble says it includes potatoes, but alas, no potatoes are included. Either they need to be added, or you need to change the package description and photos!
singingrandma I expected potatoes too! 😏
This meal is convenient when you are limited with time
Cool I like it comes in separate packages because I wouldn’t eat the peppers
Could you use 2 eggs? NICE VIDEO!
Ironchef2001 yes you can pretty much have how many eggs you want
Ironchef2001 Was thinking the same! I sure would :)
Yeah you can.
I just bought three of these to try them out. I can't believe the container is practically empty ! they call that a meal? smh.
RebeccaRivera22 read your comment & I refuse to buy this!
Buy a bag of frozen veggie medley (onions ,bell peppers, etc) & scramble mix cheese & choice of meat chopped!
Pour into skillet & make an omelette or scrambled eggs !
It's gotta be better than this!
It's too much work for a small bowl of the same thing.
With 2 eggs instead of 1 I will consider it a light meal. With just one 1 I will call it a glorified snack.
Exactly,krak
Mine didn’t cook after 55 seconds. Idk what’s up with it
I am a new sub
add two-three eggs..i use them for my weight loss journey im on..yes they are pricey but its portioned control, quick, and i dont have to measure or count anything..add a fruit cup with it and voila good 500 calorie breakfast thats filling. best of all its variety so youre not stuck eating the same thing all the time.
Next time I'm doing 2 eggs.
I'd give 3.5 out of 5 for flavor.
$2.50 for that? At my store, they sell the same thing for 3 for $1, so that sucks.
Jimmy Dean breakfast Bowles are awesome and have eggs
$2.50 is pretty cheap for a takeout lunch. The selling point is the convenience.
If someone is looking for savings over convenience, they are already going to be making their own food. You can't expect gourmet for two and a half bucks, and microwave.
The challenge would be how to take the egg to work. I suppose you could crack it in a baggie, maybe? Or get those egg whites or liquid eggs.
Kappa Luppa or just buy a carton of eggs near your job that you can just keep in a fridge at work so you don’t have to transport the eggs. If there is a large enough fridge
I found these at the 99cents store, much better deal.
Did you not get the potatoes?
I think they were in the peppers and onions.
Beth Flower Since when did Denver omelet have potatoes?
Yeah mine exploded after 30 seconds blew open the microwave door and onto the carpet I was so passed off . Eggs in microwaves do not work they never have they never will they explode .
My father used to make egg omelettes using a bag of vegetable medley!(onions, bell peppers, potatoes etc).
Scramble some eggs with cheese mix the veggies in same bowl! (Add sausage ham or bacon chopped)
Pour into frying pan ,flip, & roll into omelettes!!
Perfect for one or whole family (based on how many eggs desired!)
I jus can't see myself buying this product!
Basically it's an omelette in a bowl🤷🏾♂️🤔🤷🏻♂️
Lol I'd rather wash out a frying pan 🍳 and enjoy good cooking than make egg in a cereal bowl 🍚🤔
Bowls are for grits or oatmeal!
Besides I hate the way that girl talks during the commercial😂😤🤣
mealprepping those for a week would take 20 min and you can add whatever seasonings you like each time. eggs are versatile and there are so many seasonings you could you use lol. seems too pricy for what you get.
I would want at least 2 eggs for a breakfast/ meal
The store brand is just called "Fuck it, whatever."
I'm so stupid XD (I'm actually ALERGIC to eggs but I bought it anyway. The potatos wern't bad but they had a werid taste to them.)
(P.S. I didn't put any EGGS in, I mean I'm not that stupid but I also didn't buy the one in the review but the All American Scamble one.)
Yea the one that comes with the egg mixture seems to taste a bit off, not terrible, but just doesn't feel like real egg.
Looks kind of small I would need to prepare probably 2 or 3 of them
Jimmy Dean makes the other one.
I add 20 additional seconds because runny eggs aren't my favorite
Danm thought the egg came w it, pitty. Looks good tho
These are .99 cents are the 99 cents store! I purchase mine there. They are great as a quick lunch!
I read the product as... 'JUST CRACK' lol
i didnt know you could cook a egg in the microwave😨
DavoneTheDon that's what worries me lol. You can. You can actually make fluffy eggs that taste just as good as in the pan.
Very carefully, but it works!
Halo127 😂
Why do they only eat one egg in France? Because one egg is Oeuf!
I'd rather have a Pot Noodle.
What's that?
Just Crack an Egg? More like: Just peel off the lid, then dump out three packages of ingredients, then peel open the package of ham and dump it into the bowl, then peel open the package of veggies and dump it into the bowl, then peel open the package of cheese and dump into the bowl, then crack and egg and dump it into the bowl, then stir, then place in microwave and cook for 40 seconds, then stir, then place back in microwave and cook for 30 seconds, then stir, then let sit for one minute to cool. It's not as convenient as the name implies.
nobodyhasthisyet seriously? Would you expect to literally just crack an egg and have a safe meal to eat? You make all the steps sound so hard... OMFG...you mean I need to do stuff?! Ughhhhhhh....
Lol I know. I was just being facetious. However, I really did think it would be slightly easier than this. I thought you would just be able to open the lid, crack the egg, dump it in the bowl of ingredients and microwave it. I didn't realize they packaged all the ingredients separately.
nobodyhasthisyet in that case, good form. And I agree with you. It seems to be a lot more work than implied.
nobodyhasthisyet don’t be a lazy ass and Just Crack an Egg!
Walmart $1.98
Way too expensive just like those damn lunchables. Soon they came down in price for they weren't selling well. I only bought lunchables when they were $1.5 or .99. And were easy to find at that price somewhere near
But lunchables is shit quality
I don't like it when things pop and make a mess in my microwave.
Throw away your microwave then.
Cover with a paper towel
I did 2 this morning and neither popped
I just had my first and last O'Reilly. Just crack an egg breakfast. It sucked big time in fact I really don't feel that well after eating it. Never again I'm throwing the other one away. Wasted my money
Nigga happy bout an egg
Just CRACK and EGG! 👹👍🏽
Where the potatoes??
Too much waste!!
People don't seem to realize it's nothing but an omelette in a bowl. Make your own omelette. These breakfast bowls aren't worth $2.50.
I made it wrong and it exploded in the microwave.... oops 😅😔
Nasty
I think most adults will need two to fill them up....Too time consuming, (if you have a short lunch break), and pricey. O.K. taste, but not worth the effort. (IMO)
London2362 I just made these for the first time this morning and made two for my husband and I using two eggs each before leaving for work in less than 10 minutes and added some extra seasonings. Doing 1 wouldn’t take more than 5 minutes tops. Most frozen meals take that long in the microwave.
@@abbyb1481 ..Four (total) eggs for one meal is seriously unhealthy, (and none of my business, I know.) I only get 30 minutes for lunch, so I'm only left with about 10 minutes to eat after cooking, and don't forget resting time. Plus it cost three bucks a piece, so 6 dollars...That was my only point...Thanks Abby
The Jimmy Dean version is much better, and you don't have to have eggs on hand.
The company i work for actually cups the eggs that go into the jimmy dean scrambles. The eggs that go into those cups are layed, gathered, washed and cracked all by that same company in southern indiana
I rather use my own fresh eggs of choice
Naw I’ll pass
I'd crack three eggs
