Anyone else checking out Fallout 76 thanks to the Fallout TV show? 🙋♂
Checking it out because I’m hungry for a new post apocalyptic game
I'm obsessed with the series of games and am loving the show, the show brought me back as 76 was very not newbie friendly when it released so coming back with new player support is really great.
Fallout 4 instead, yeah
Me!!
Probably won’t go back. I might watch the show if it makes it a couple seasons.
You should have started this video with I’ve only played 12 hours of fallout 4 because after I heard that I’ve instantly disregarded everything you’ve said
Thanks, you've saved me 12 minutes of my time. Someone who hasn't played a decent amount of time on the other fallout games isn't qualified to tell me if F76 is a good Fallout game
@@matt1700Exactly!!!! Thank you for telling me this as well. I would have wasted my time.
Many Thanks 😊 You've done the community a great service.
12 hours is a long ass time to know if you like a game or not
@therev012ify only playing 12 hours of previous fallout games definitely does not inspire confidence when telling people who have played MANY more hours it whether F76 is a good Fallout game. I don't care whether he liked it or not, I just don't think he has played enough to tell me that he knows what people like or want out of the games
Although they had a shitty launch. Can honestly say I’ve been having lots of fun. Finding random groups to do stuff with is amazing to me.
I like that the pitch was literally "[existing game] + friends"... And then a dump truck of cash shows up at your house
Unless none of your friends play
@@PeopleRTheProblem Yeah, me and my friends don't play. The dump truck still showed up though 🤑
Is there an app for the fallout 1st? I feel like when 4s update comes out on ps5 I'll go to that and keep my 76 subscription to go back eventually and I'd like to be able to claim the items here and there without having to get on the game to do it or if i forget bc i get home and dont get on.
You’re going to continue paying a subscription fee even though you don’t want to play anymore?
There is no app but you can remote play into the game if that’s an option for you.
Which version to buy physical? Tri or original ? Thx
**Launched with no "Human" NPCs**
Amen. That was a fail
The thing with Fallout is that each game in the series is completly different and will appeal to different players, so it's really hard to compare (and most people won't agree on). While FO1&2 are pure cRPG (and one of best ones out there across whole genre), FO3 (and NV even if it's more limited) is still RPG by heart, FO4 is more action game than RPG and FO76 abandoned hand helding and is purely lore/exploration game (and no, it's not an MMO). That being said, each of them are fun in their own way, and from amount of value you get from FO76 (if the style is your thing) is just unmatched and is an amazing game.
Would it be worth getting the deluxe edition since it’s like $20? Or are you just better off getting the regular edition?
The deluxe edition gives you cosmetic items, so, as far as I know, you don’t need it
The brotherhood of steel is a hard quest if you are a low 30 to 25 level and no weapon upgrade
76 is free for everyone who has Prime
Tysm lol. I normally check to add my free current games but didn’t this time. Saw it on steam for $7 and almost hit buy as I’ve been wanting to try it out also bc of the show. That is very cool of prime to do that w the launch of the show !
Yup Got it for free with prime for Xbox and PC version...
it costs 50 cents on eneba so...
@@1758 expensive for this quality
less than 2$ in ukraine steam region
lol I named all my characters Odo until i named my cat Odo and it didn’t feel right after that
How do quest work in 76? Ive only played 4 and new vegas when i when i was younger
There’s many questline within the world itself. You’ll meet someone pretty early in the game and can just start racking up quests by exploring, talking to people and doing the regular quest line.
Yes, it has gotten so much better
That’s not saying much, considering the launch
It's literal leagues better than the launch. There's so much content for new players.@@PeopleRTheProblem
@@vagrantender what definition of “league” are you using? Even if it’s literal, there was not much content to begin with. I’ve seen the new content. It’s bog standard content. And the push for players to pay $15 per month to have a scrap box that hold more contents than by back pocket is ridiculous.
@@PeopleRTheProblem you're delusional. There's literally new content and things to work towards every month. We're on our 19th current major update and it gets better with every update. If you want to play solo, it's just as good as Fallout 4 in my opinion.
@@vagrantender that’s my point. It’s your opinion. Not fact. You say it’s gets better with each update that’s entirely a subjective statement. And it’s easy to make when you provide zero examples or evidence. You say “lots to do” but that could mean anything. Collecting audio logs is something to do….but that not “fun”. Suicide squad has a shit-ton to do….but most of it isn’t enjoyable. And you didn’t speak to the BS subscription model to force folk to pay or battle inventory issues. Well actually that’s content though….dealing with inventory space. If they fix that then there’s less to do.
Been in that same mindset for a while but worried id end up regretting getting back into it 😅 think i might give it a try, thanks mate 👍
I love Fallout 3,4 and New Vegas, and going to try 76, or should i go back to 4 jajaj my favorite, Should i try 76 ?
dont bother the game is still a dumpster fire....especially at endgame there isnt much to do. the quests are mostly go-fetch quests.
@@vadim6656 Thanks, yeah im going back to 4 this weekend
@@vadim6656so untrue
I really think you should consider playing at least one playthrough of both fallout 3 and new vegas. Fallout 3 sets the tone for the wasteland as most of us know it, and new vegas has some of the most elaborate and diverse storylines and factions I've seen in a video game. You can get wrapped up in it for 3 or 4 playthroughs. Keep in mind though that there's no sprinting in either of them so you just have to press jump a lot to feel like you're going faster.
The fallout series on Playstation has been neglected for a long, long time. I would argue that outside of Fallout 76 - Fallout 3, NV and Fallout 4 are either incomplete or unplayable. For anyone on PS that wants to play the games, this might help:
-Fallout 3: ONLY available with the Premium tier PS+ membership. It does not include any of the DLC. The only way you can experience the DLC is if you have a PS3 and a physical copy of the GOTY edition that includes it.
-Fallout NV: Exactly the same as Fallout 3. Only the regular version on Premium tier PS+ and impossible to access DLC unless you have the original disc and console
-Fallout 4: All content is available on PS5 via backwards compatibility. However if you have the Automatron DLC, the game will be unplayable. There is an issue with it where the game crashes on start-up if you have that DLC pack installed
This is one of the only reasons I choose Xbox over PlayStation. All games are either backwards compatible if you already have them, or can just be outright purchased. And on top of that both Fallout 3 and NV are both 60fps and 4k
PS5 client update in a week
FYI the fo4 update fixed the crash and the game doesn’t fit your description of being incomplete or broken anymore.
I really like the enemy and weapon variety. I somehow broke my Fallout 4 and can't save anymore so 76 it is lol
I have an urge to try out fallout 76 just because I hated the idea of a MP Fallout game. I play solo, most of the times. Can you solo 76 ? Then perhaps I will try the game again. There were things I liked (the skill cards system was fun) and things I hated (meeting teenagers with the bb guns).
I enjoyed the show so I'm going to try this game until the fallout 4 next gen update comes out
Never played any fallout. Do I start 76 or wait a couple weeks for the fallout 4 next gen update?
I think there's fun to be had in both games - if you like playing games on your own and taking your time, maybe Fallout 4 is for you, but on the other hand if you're looking for a laugh with some mates, Fallout 76 could be the one. I reckon I'm gonna start up Fallout 4 pretty soon ahead of the next-gen update actually - Aaron
get Fallout 4 while it is £3.99 then wait for the free PS5 upgrade. The sale ends the day before.
To get the next gen update for free you need the GOTY edition of the game. So it's $40
On Xbox F4 GOTY is $11 and F76 is $8
I would get it now. There appears to be enough content for at least that much money.
play the whole series starting with old school fallout > fallout 2> etc...
the lore and world building is worth it
No one in Appalachia calls it apple-asia. It’s apple-at-cha
Thank you a lot, I didn't knew where to put Fallout 76 on my "to-buy" list. You've explained to me the entire gameplay wich I really aprecciate. 🤠 (also cool ghoul clothes i'll get some myself) 🤠
Why retell the first mission just get to the meat of the game and see what’s good and bad about it
Yeah, I stopped the video after two minutes and I'll be heading elsewhere after posting this reply. I expected a more thorough explanation about why Fallout 76 is worth playing, not a simply retelling of the first mission. The video feels more like a playthrough, rather than a breakdown of what is good and bad, and why people should check it out.
@@thatsamshow for me personally I got the game super cheap on Microsoft Store (about $.50) and I’ve been enjoying it so far. I’ve completed all the base game main quests and currently am going through BOS questline from one of the free expansions of the game. I loved it but having played all the other fallout games multiple times I believe I would’ve liked this game anyway. Thanks to me being five years late to the party though I get to experience a lot of content without waiting for it and they’ve got a new expansion coming in June that will also increase the map size with a new area. Oh and people are saying the game is now much more varied in terms of builds. I’ve tried heavy gunner build and assault rifle one and both were very valid. Currently level 100+
With PS5 fallout 4 just crashes and can't play. Anyone else have this problem.
Yes, it’s because of automatron apparently
Someone told me there’s gonna be an update to fix this april 25th though
After the update on PC I can't even save anymore
It was always fun if you had friends to play with. If not then oh well for you get some friends I guess
Besides, it’s easy to find cool and generous players.
lol I thought I was the only one who used the same character on every game I play.
They are just jumping through timelines in my head 😅
Got to love a bit of self-made lore - Aaron
Can you play solo?
Yes you can - Aaron
There's nothing wrong with building on a slope. You just need to learn how to deal with it.
Tried FO76 didn't like it.
Tried FO4 Love it.
When the game came out it was lonely. I hated it, this was the last game I pre-ordered.
Man i just got it for free on prime, but honestly looking at it i still feel like i'm getting ripped off?
I guess i'll see tomorrow, and who knows, maybe i'll atleast get a couple hours of fun out of it!
If it’s free how are you getting ripped off ? I haven’t played 76 finished fallout 4 but looking to give it a try if it’s any good
@@Jakariajin
Time spent.
Time == money
Money == time
so if time = money and money = time my time spent = money spent which means i can still get ripped off even tho i didn't spend actual physical money, i pay in time and time = money.
But technically it's also just a feeling where you can still "feel" like you were ripped off. Warthunder is a great example of that!XD
@@Jakariajin this game is trash especially at the endgame.
@@sugarysweetjoker1664 😂😂😂 whose forcing you to play it ? 😂😂😂😂😂😂 if you bought it I’d get it it’s a rip off cause the game sucks but unless someone put a gun to your head it’s your choice so you wasted your own time 🥴
@@vadim6656 I believe you it’s a cash grab that’s why I never bought it even though I have it for free not worth playing it
Apocalyptic game feels empty because majority of the population was nuked and fell to famine. The scarcity and loneliness of the Fallout 76s game design certainly matches with what I feel to be a fallen world.
I agree with you… like, what do you truly expect to find after the apocalypse?! 😂 I felt it’s perfect
Hadn't thought about 76 but think I will dust off my PS3 copy of Fallout 3. One sitting deep in my pile of unfinished games.
Harry? 😮
Just started playing it and tbh it isn't very interesting.
No played 76 or Fallour 4, but think I'd probably like Fallour 4 more.
Fallout 4 is definitely the better game, but after years of updates, it's clear that Fallout 76 has come a long way - Aaron
Beta day1 player here, 76 is an mmo, it should be treated as such
Leave 76 and play Fallout 4... It's an amazing experience and the quests are waaaay better. Come back to 76 to have fun with friends if you have that itch... But don't waste your time on it solo.
The game was fun even when there was no npc's. It's just better now
lol…it’s better…now? I didn’t play at launch. Got it for free two years ago. Made it to level 12 and haven’t been back since. If it’s better now….lord how that launch must have been
The game is riddled with trolls, every time I went to play it, I would be low level trying to get my bearings, do some beginner stuff, somebody would find me, kill me, find me again and kill me again, literally following me everywhere. I had to quit out and join a different one. This happened to me ALOT
Yeah, when it first came out. Now, the only way they can kill you is if you shoot back, initiating a duel.
Woil oye koindah git the seiountiment…
you mention on dirty words that I don't like,,,Monthly fee.. games are expensive enough,, shouldn't have to pay monthly fee for any game. so this will sssuck
only buy to play games are worth it
well i know game i wouldn't recommend unless ur rich enough to throw money away is FO76 with their predatory business model and expansive cash shop, and also if u want to play solo baste on what i hear from ppl, ppl say how solo experience is nightmare and that's cause of predator business model, a lot of unless u waste tons of money in item shop and prices are outrageous and on top of that they have the gal to make it subscription game, forced to sub if u want to play, Beth with FO76 is just a cow farm and ppl playing it milking cows, seen videos about their pricing and stuff
my stance on overall sub baste games where ur forced to sub
About FINAL FANTASY XIV Online
i am interested in buy to play, games that u can't play without sub Suck hard, if u half to pay for expansion's that later come out that's fine out fine but base game has to be buy to play, F2P after porches!!!
subscription is waste of money and time and make game feel like shore cause u feel pressure to play more then u feel like playing (unless ur rich money cow who has money tree crowing in ut yard or a child who is wasting parents money without care) and sometimes something happens and u can't play for weeks or more, how much waste of money, so no matter how u look at it forced to sub if u want to play sys is stupid, it should be option like in ESO and SWTOR, in SWTOR i have subbed few times but then went back to F2P for a long time (so i was not always subbed, like once a year 2month sub), and that cause i knew i had enough time to play not to waste 2much
Bro i ALSO name all my characters Ezekiel in RPGS. THATS WILD.
"Hello Me, meet The Real Me."
Brother Ezekiel... From another timeline - Aaron
"Did we just become best friends? Yep!"
Yes
I would play if the game didn't look like a PS3 game. Yes, they update for 60fps, but the textures, npc and players density, draw distance and everything else is stuck at 8th gen.
It's a good game, if some day they fix that, I'll def play it.
No Bethesda game has ever had great graphics so you may be waiting for a very long time.
Disagree, the game is beautiful on PC@@zaccampa4055
@@zaccampa4055 sure…but the price keeps going up with the gameplay staying in 2011
To be fair, we don't play Fallout for cutting edge graphics even though the graphics on a glandular level is beautiful. I think the worst part of graphics are the models themselves. They are pretty dated but again people love new vegas and 3 and those models look like melted plastic lmao
how good is fallout 76 are the graphics and gameplay solo fun better then fallout 4
Lol
Yes and no. If you expect FO5, hand held story driven RPG, then you'll probably be disappointed. It's a completely different style of game. If you like lore, exploration and really read and explore into every location you find in FO world, love character building, then just that part in 76 is amazing, the rest, multiplayer and all the things around are just a bonus on top of it.
@@scorpion29a lol…that’s every open world game.
76 looks horrible. fallout 4 looks and feels so much better. i went back to 76 a couple of days ago and its still a dumpster fire. the quality of the quests is horrible. the game is too bright and happy, it doesnt feel like its set in the doom and gloom fallout universe.
Short answer: Yes
That's my issue with FO4. The game is too empty.
Fallout 4 or 76? Cause FO4 does not feel empty
heres a few reasons im not enjoying 76 maybe some of you can relate:
1. Combat is stale, wonky, dated, cut and pasted from Fallout 4 but somehow worse.
2. Massive open world map that suffers from the same problem every massive open world map game suffers from, its boring, bland, uneventful, and empty. There isnt enough going on the map to justify its size. What good is a masive map that is primary hollow and empty.
3.Live service game, means modders, who are the life blood of any and every bathesda game, are limited to what they can produce.
(side rant) Bathesda is nothing without the die hard modding community that follows their games. I have personally never been able to play a single bathesda game from start to finish, that i didnt install masive mod packs for. Skyrim is a arguably Bethesda's best game, and even that game is complete trash until you install a mod pack like Nolvus, which adds around 3000 mods to the base game basically turning it into a brand new game. And since 76 is live service you wont be able to do anything like that.
4. Game is too easy. Ive been running around with 0% hydration and 0% food nourishment levels since i picked up the game 2 days ago. I dont even know what the negative side effects are how unnoticeable of a mechanic it is. Enemy AI is braindead and does no damage. You can virtually face tank everything in the game and W key into hoards of enemies with no concern.
5. Graphics are trash.
6. Pay for convenience cash grab bullshit and cosmetics.
TLDR: Bathesda is unfit to run a live service game, the content they produce is subpar when compared to what modders are able to produce for their game. Stale combat, empty oversized map. Boring forgetable quest. Feels like worse version of fallout 4
On console? Ooof.
It was trash without NPCs..
No, play fallout 4
Fallout 4 is cool but broken after the next gen thing
No its not worth playing. After 8 years its still a buggy mess. The people hyping it up are the die hards who will love this game no matter what. This game runs like absolute crap. 8 hours of playing today and it crashed 4 times and i had to restart 3 times due to audio bugs that dont go away. People are starved for a new fallout. So that why people are suffering this game to get their fallout fix.
Never crashed for me. People hate just to follow the crowd
@joseantoniocueto876 I don't hate to follow the crowd. I'm over level 200 have lots of time in game and can say it is not worth it. All other fallout games are better.
The npc and story missions in 76 felt awkward and unnatural. I decided to stop playing after 3 hrs in it. The graphics maybe better than how it was in first release but its still ugly and buggy
Don't lie to yourself. The game is just ok. It is not a great experience, but bad neither. Just a 5-6 out of 10. The combat is pos btw.
I don't say this lightly, but Fallout 76 may be the ugliest game ever made.
Those visuals actually look like someone puked over the map.
